A pendant that represented who he is...
This past Christmas I wanted to present my husband Elliott with a gift of a lifetime. It ended up being a pendant signifying a lifetime achievement of the past 25 years in business. I knew what to expect in working with you, but I didn't expect all of the emotions, reflections and joy it would bring our family.
Your creativity and expertise is tops in my books. You and Jennifer were able to walk me thru the process, as you gave me options to consider. From style, to weight, material options to budget. Each detail had a purpose, each element had a meaning. And the CAD program? Wow! It's instant. From the first thought put into a sketch to seeing it dazzling on the screen, this was fun, exciting and hard to contain.
Before working with you, I was jealous hearing about all of the engagement rings your clients were designing, but then I got to thinking...Thanks to your extensive experience, commitment to a deadline, you were able to produce such a fine piece that will be treasured forever. He's so proud to wear it and won't stop polishing it!
We highly recommend Jewellery Artists 3D to those people who want a unique piece that is a reflection of their lives. There was as much joy in the giving as there was in the receiving.

We have had THE BEST experience with David and his team at JA3D!
I had my fiance's ring done by another company, and had a horrific experience (and ended up with a very expensive poorly done ring). Needless to say I was very weary, very hurt and rather jaded from the whole experience.
We picked JA3D because it was close to our house, their website showed a fabulous assortment of really amazing work, and everytime we walked by the store, there was gorgeous stuff in the window. We figured we would go in for a consultation, check out the vibe and see where it went from there.
David is awesome. We never worked with his wife, so I can't comment on her. He is just the right amount of friendly, professional and casual. He is a perfectionist and very personable, and is really invested in his client's product satisfaction. More than that, he delivered above and beyond what we expected, which warrants the 5th star.
The initial consultation goes through ring design and ideas, but David also takes time to get to knows his clients. He has a very good sense of people's personalities, and what they will like. He allocates an hour for every appointment, so there is lots of time to chat. The second appointment is after the design is done, where he pops it onto the giant monitor to see in 3D, plus a rendered version of it (which was truly awesome, because he can put it on a hand so you get an idea of what it will look like once it's on).
The third is to see the wax, and the 4th is the last where you get to take home your shiny ring in a pretty box (although David teamed up with my fiance to surprise me with my ring).
David also made our wedding bands, and they are designed to match our engagement rings perfectly! Knowing that we want to reset my fiance's ring, he designed her wedding band to match the future proper ring. They are absolutely stunning, for a simple band of white gold!
He even threw in the engraving on our wedding bands as a gift, which was really really sweet of him! We will be back in a year or so to have my fiance's ring re-set.
I said no to appointments only, but it's MUCH better to make an appointment, as the store is open Tues-Saturday, and quite busy!

Established in 1960
Originally founded in 1960 by David's father, Jewellery Artists 3D has evolved over it's 50 year history. First named Hycroft Jewellers when it opened on Granville in Vancouver, it was renamed Penner Goldsmiths in 1978 to represent its expertise as a designer and manufacturer of fine jewellery. The latest name update to Jewellery Artists 3D was undertaken by the second generation ownership to reflect the purpose and specialization of the store: to make jewellery to the highest standards of art and design.
