The best Indian food in London: a terrific lunch buffet: every item was perfect.

ordered take out from here a couple days ago and found a penny in the rice!!! called the store to tell them and they told us essentially they had no way to prove that there was a penny in there and we may have put a penny in our own food....never going eat here again and i would recommend you check your food before you eat it....

I have been craving Indian food all week, so me and my boyfriend decided to give this place a try. It was empty while we were there, but there was a lot of takeout orders. The place was decent for an indian restaurant, very quiet as usual. The food was pretty good. We had the lentil soup, it was my first time trying and the flavour wasn't too bad, but it was a bit oily. We also got the mixed appetizer platter to start, I wasn't really sure what I was eating, but everything was greasy since it was deep fried and a lot of onion flavours... it wasn't at the top of my favourite list...
For main, we got a lamb and a side order of eggplant with rice and nan. They were delicious! The nan tasted a bit like pilsbury croissants... has a sweetness to it, but it was really good!
I would definitely go back and try the other dishes! Reccomended! -

This used to be my favourite place for Indian food during my days of undergrad. By no means is it as authentic as what you can get on Gerrard Street, but Little India will satiate your craving for bhindi and biriyani.
Good service and the menu has a great selection. On numerous occasions, I've ordered the vegetarian dinner for two; it easily serves three people and often, there's still leftovers to take home. As well, I've organized group gatherings here in the past and the staff here have been very accomodating.
A good place for a dinner date with reasonable prices. -

Probably some of the best Indian food in the entire city, located right in the heart of the downtown core parking can somewhat be a pain as every Londoner is very familiar with, but if you can find a spot to park downtown then it's well worth the visit. Especially for the lunch buffet, you pay about $8 plus taxes and you get all you can eat Indian food which includes all the typical in staples like unlimited onion bhaji, samosas, papadum and of course naan bread. They have great pilaf and so many sauces to spice it up as well including some of my favs like both the curried beef and chicken, butter chicken, and a spicy chick pea curry as well, lots of veggie dishes as well which all taste amazing! They even have an Indian soup and desserts. The food is great, the service is always great, and the price is right. I will definitely be back for some more lunch buffet, check it out, other than the decor, you won't be disappointed!

I used to be a regular here many years ago and they served phenomenal Indian food. The then-owner was quite gruff but he became extremely nice and friendly once you got to know him. Also, the food sometimes took forever to get to you but it was well worth it when it finally came. I particularly liked the tandoori chicken, bhoona chicken or beef, sag beef or lamb, tandoori masala, mixed vegetable bhaji, dal soup, etc. Also, their naan bread was fantastic (although their chapathi was a little too dense for my liking). it was around the time when the place changed owners that I sort of exhausted myself concerning Indian food and so I stopped frequenting here. I have been back infrequently here and there in the last couple of years and the food is still fine. One of the better dinner options in the city for sure.
