If you are a car enthusiast who always looks for a way to pimp up the ride - this store is for you. It has a nice selection of performance parts and accessories: Air Intakes, Carbs, Brakes, Performance Chips, and so on and so forth. We came to the store because we were looking for a car starter. After browsing through a big selection of remote starters, we decided to ask one of the sales associates for assistance. And we were glad we did because apparently, not every remote starter can be installed on any vehicle; and the more complicated the starter, the more time it takes to install it. For our car we were given a nice choice of 3 average-priced starters. We decided to go with $149.99 "Easy Car" 1-Way 4 button remote starter. The associate also provided us with the $300.00 installation quota. He also booked an installation appointment for us. It was a really easy and worry free experience for both of us. The fact that we came out of the store knowing more about the remote starters than we did when we entered speaks a lot about the customer service and staff's knowledge. And I must say that it was the best $500.00 we invested in our car.

This summer I got into the world of car tuning. There are not a lot of modification shops in Edmonton, but I received a lot of fliers from this location so I decided to try it out. No wall space has been spared to displaying all their automotive parts. JB's Power Center recently moved into a newer building and has a wide selection of car performance parts on display.
It is easy to find what you're looking for in the store; their entire inventory is pretty much out on the store floor. The sales staff are also some of the most helpful and knowledgeable in the city. You can ask them anything automotive related and they will have the answer. I was looking for a part that wasn't in stock, yet the sales associate checked through his records and told me precisely when the shipment would be in, and what the part number was in case I wanted to order directly through the manufacturer. They were also able to give me installation quotes right away.
So why the 3 star rating? Well the parts they car seem to be more orientated towards pickup trucks. Also, everything is expensive in the store...if you were to put the extra effort and go around to other stores, such as Garageworks, you could get everything installed cheaper. Even if you were to look around the internet for performance parts, it would be guaranteed cheaper, even with shipping. I would recommend going to JB's to look and get a feel of the equipment, but otherwise I would be hesitant to purchase something due to the high prices.
