Jaycee House is a small-ish community hall just off Lillooet Road. It's pretty bare bones, decor-wise, but it does have all the elements for putting on a party or event: nice sized kitchen and bar facilities, washrooms, tables and chairs, and parking. You'll have to bring some sparkle by decorating the place, though.
My friend's parents often throw parties there. I think they choose Jaycee because it's relatively cheap to rent. But it's also set in a wooded area that buffers it from the houses nearby, so they can make some noise without neighbours complaining. As long the sliding doors to the front lawn area are kept closed, the amplified music doesn't seem to bother anyone else.
Probably about 100 people can sit down comfortably; up to 150 if people get up and dance.
