Fantastic neighborhood Indian joint. Food is good, service is exceptional. I'm not a drinker but I like my non alcoholic beer. First time I went I asked if they had any - they didn't. 15 min later there was one at my table - the owner sent someone out to score some. This place rocks.

Review from Sara S.
Three and a half might be fair. This tiny, hole in the wall, completely unnoticable walk-by on Mont Royal is a surprising treat. And surprisingly popular, too. The service was exceptional, non invasive but warm. We split a bottle of merlot, and I ordered vegetable samosas, the lentil soup (dal), and the vegetable curry. My staples in Indian food. If a restaurant messes up one of these things, you know something's up. The samosas were okay, but the potatoes inside kind of reminded me of those greasy, brown breakfast potatoes you scarf down off a plastic plate when you're too hungover to care. The dough wasn't crispy, but rather kind of dull and soft. Completely edible, sure, but somewhat of a let down. The lentil soup was uh, how do I put this...oh, yeah, totally fucking weird. Who ever heard of a lentil soup without lentils? It was more of a broth, with a yellow-ish color. HOWEVER, despite it's weird consistency, it was flavorful, and very lemon-y, which I love.
As for my main course, nothing out of this world, but very very decent. curry. Flavorful, spicy, awesome saffron rice. My only complaint? Where's the cauliflower? Seriously. That shit ain't right. We got free dessert, these amazing deep fried balls full of some sort of soft cheese, swimming in a sweet syrup. Delicious. I managed to eat myself into a serious food coma, however, which is a pretty good indicator that this place is an a-ok spot for some quick and easy Indian food. Nothing mind blowing, but hey, you get what you pay for, and in this case, it's fair enough. -
