J&S isn't your average beauty dispensary. The look here is sleek clinical apothacary with a clawfoot tub for a cheeky decorative touch, and of course the main draw is the collection of reputable boutique beauty brands.
The selection is well edited at J&S and features the likes of the prestigious Paul and Joe skincare line, wherein the product descriptions are written in Japanese script so you know they mean business when it comes to facial care. Other lines include the exalted Mario Badescu and a cult perfume line ironically named " CB I Hate Perfumes" and Canadian Organic skincare line Consonant. There is also a good representation of men's grooming care brands well suited for highly maintained lads.
The owner Joel was indispensable in his knowledge of the efficacy and usage of his products, really polite without ever sounding like a chiding Avon lady or those annoying home shopping network beauty "mavens". Joel even provided vanishing cream samples to my skeptical, yet curious friend.
If you're looking to buy premier/ hard to find skincare lines without having to deal with hoity-toity service, visit Jacob & Sebastian and get your pretty on! -

Was out for a walk on Queen West, and couldn't resist the gorgeous scents wafting from this cute little shop! Had to go in and try all the perfumes - amazing things that you can't find just anywhere. Apparently they create custom fragrances as well! Lots of high end products that I've only seen in magazines. Will be visiting often to sample everything. Love!

I only wish they would expand more in the wet shaving avenue, otherwise fantastic pampering products.. truly the best.. -

Jacob & Sebastian is a very welcome addition to the Queen & Bathurst area.
Owner Joel Dart sources unique, independent skin care, bath and body product lines from around the globe.
Not just for the ladies, Joel stalks two of my favourite mens' lines Malin & Goetz from New York (its unisex actually) & Portland General Store.
His prices are lower than anywhere else in the city for these lines (I use Malin & Goetz Eucalyptus Deodorant & its usually $3-$5 more everywhere else).
Other picks: Malin & Goetz Bergamot Body Wash, Portland General Store's Whiskey Cologne and CB I Hate Perfume's In the Library scent.
