Yeah, so I think bruises are kind of awesome. If I saw someone at a party with a wicked bruise, I will most likely chat them up and inisist on examining it. I'm not kidding.
A few years ago I got a glance of the works done by acupuncture's dominatrix sister who called herself "cupping therapy" - which in theory, is an ancient Chinese method used to release toxins, increase cirrculation and offer similar effects as a deep tissue massage but the end result looks something like you've had you ass kicked while playing "chicken" with hot frying pans. Cupping is achieved by suction cups placed along your back while a machine (or sometimes heat) pressurizes your skin and sucks it up creating a muffin top....It's pretty much the weirdest thing you'll see all year.. suction cups sticking out of your back looking akin to cow teats, or something out of Alien vs Predator, its half-horrifying but you can't look away. It is actually a pretty kitchy and intriguing experience. Who knows if this thing really works but I now have some conversation-starting bruises all over my back. I'm fascinated.
The Chinese acupuncturist and the lady who worked here were so nice- warm and personable. Sure, I thought $67 was a little expensive for what I received but they were so friendly that I have no complaints on this facility. Plus, I'm pretty sure my back has never been cracked that roaringly before Mr. acupunture here twisted me up like a pretzel. I'm convinced he's got ninja skills.
