Jack's is the home reno equivalent of a good thrift store. They've got all kinds of building supplies, mostly used and loosely organized, with some strange treasures in the mix. Occupying a huge lot just off the highway in Burnaby, Jack's carries mostly used building supplies and materials, much of which has either been salvaged from demolitions or bought from the public. Old doors, bathtubs and sinks, door knobs, stained glass panels, garden fixtures, even antiques - just about anything you can think of.
You'll recognize the place when you find it by the big carriage out front. If you are poking around, don't be too startled if you hear deep woofs coming from an interior office. The dog inside make look crazy and fierce, but he's really just wants attention. Just say "Hi, boy," and he'll calm down, sort of.
