I don't have very high expectations of cafeteria places that are hidden in the depths of some generic office building. But I was in the area and wanted to just get a quick breakfast. And really how could I not be drawn in by the ultra cheesy name "Jackpot Café" that's located in Ceridian/Lotteries building.

The cafeteria was empty at 9 am, not sure if that should've warned me to stay away. The place looks clean and serves up the usual cafeteria items like pitas, sandwiches a few breakfast items with bacon and eggs and toast. I only wanted eggs - just 2 scrambled. Every place easily complies with this order and charges me like $1.50 or something like that. The gal working had a heavy eastern European accent told me that I could only get 3 eggs not 2...okay...so I said "ok, I don't want eggs, I'll have toast instead." Not sure if that was lost in translation but she proceeded to crack the eggs - okay, fine, I'll have 3 eggs I guess. Then this guy shows up and she tells him my order and he proceeds to make me an omelet. Huh? I'm watching him cook the eggs and I'm partly amused and partly annoyed because how can they screw something up like this. I am not a fan of omelet style eggs but it was too late and I didn't want to waste food. So I ended up paying $4.47 for something I never ordered...my fault for not speaking up but seriously how can someone mess up such an easy order when I am the only customer?

Sigh. I don't think I'll be returning especially when Robin's Donut is across the street and provides amazing and fast service compared to this yahoo of a place.
