The Jack Singer is a top notch venue for concerts. It's stunning to look at, there really isn't a bad seat in the house and the acoustics are incredible. My only recommendation is that if you wind up in the balconies, try to get seats that are closer to the aisle because it's quite a production to try and leave to get a drink or hit the washroom. You literally have to climb over 20 people to get there which people are not happy about when they are watching their favorite musician.

Aside from that, if your favorite artist is using this venue, count yourself lucky!

The Jack Singer Hall is one of the best concert venues I know in Canada. They have great acoustics and with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra a fantastic main feature.

One impressing thing about the Jack Singer Concert Hall is, that it can be like a chameleon: it suits for classical concerts as well as pop, rock or even theatre. It can be a romantic place, an upscale or casual event or a tourist attraction - it all depends on what YOU as visitor want it to be.

$12 for a split of champagne... I found it reasonable, especially when you can bring it into the hall and take your time to enjoy it.

The Hall is great for concerts, but the balcony can be a tight fit.  You will get to know the person in the seat next to you... bcs you'll be touching them the entire time.  Sorry, but its true.

I recommend an isle seat, or spending a couple bucks extra to get closer to the action.

Was lucky enough to see Video Games Live here. I was amazed at the acoustics of Jack Singer. My seat was at the centre mezzanine and I could clearly and crisply hear the sounds of the symphony. The seating had ample leg room as well.  As a bigger guy, I felt very comfortable in my seat.

The main reception area is pretty neat as well.  It has a small stage on the main floor and there are two additional floors from which you can look down on the main stage. VGL had a number of video game competitions and demonstrations and a large souvenir stand set up on the main floor, so it is a rather large space. It also has the capability to set up fully licensed bars on each of the floors. Nice option to have.

My first visit was stellar, looking forward to many more.

With a name like Jack Singer, it's only appropriate that Mr. Singer should have a concert hall named after him. The Jack Singer is one of my favourite places in Calgary to take in a performance. From the orchestra to a couple of live Matt Good acoustic shows, conferences to a more recent Video Games Live, there's not a bad seat, or a bad sound in the place.

I'm in love with the reception area as well. There are two floors to set up tables of hors d'oeuvres, displays or installations for some most excellent mingling action. The coat check and each of the bars are handled with care. Having that extra TLC from the staff at any event just makes the evening seem that much more special.

There are not many things I can think of in Calgary that get me more excited than a visit to the Jack Singer.

It is a lovely facility and home to many EXCELLENT concerts put on by the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra.

You want to impress a girl? Take her on a date to the CPO.

I highly recommend checking out the CPO's "cpossibilities" program online to get tickets to various concerts for just $12.

I love the Jack Singer!  I have been going to the Jack Singer Concert Hall since I was in high school and our high school band got to play our Christmas concerts there.  I was just at a rock concert there the other night and I just have to comment on what a great environment and vibe that whole place gives off.  The staff and ushers are all really helpful when finding your seats and also really efficient for coat check, bar, and ticket service.  Whenever I see that a band I love is playing the Jack Singer I don't even hesitate because I know that combined with the incredible acoustics, seating layout and staff  -- it will be a night to remember.
