The traditional bar food with a great franchised backing. Most of the food on the menu looks appetizing and delicious. Look to spend $15-$30 per person.
I recommend the lettuce wraps for an app. Enjoy the TV's and Western U crowd. -

Recently I noticed the new Jack Astor's location in Downtown London and thought I would stop in for lunch. While it is nice to see that some major aesthetic improvements over the buildings previous tenants, I was unimpressed with both the food and service.
To start, my coffee came in a dirty mug, my order was incorrect, and the server made a point to instruct me that I hadn't ordered what I said I had. This was of course due to an unorganized mix up which the server later apologized for. Unfortunately, when I got my correct meal, it was not worth ordering in the first place. The quesadilla's are very small and extremely greasy.
While the service was friendly and necessarily apologetic, the atmosphere was chaotic and unorganized. I've been to Jack Astor's a number of times (at other locations) and have very modest expectations - unfortunately, this new location needs to get their house in order to meet even those. I will still visit other locations as this isnt a reflection on the chain as a whole. I probably wont return to this location however. -
Review from Michael G.
I have eaten at Jack Astors many many times. Yesterday I discovered their location in downtown London which hadn't been there a few years before. When I first walked in I was impressed with what had been done with the place. I remember eating there under the former tenants. I was greeted by a some wonderful ladies as I arrived and was promptly escorted to a table. The problem was that whoever was working the area in which I was seated either ignored me or wasn't there yet. I waited for 20 minutes or so and kindly asked one of the other ladies working who said whoever was covering my table must not be there yet. The new girl was very pleasant, very apologetic, said she had seen me but had assumed I was taken care of as I was not in her section. She did a wonderful job and took care of me right away.
Food was excellent, had the bacon cheeseburger. Beer was good too!
only problem was that I was "forgotten" about for 20 minutes or so when I first arrived. Everything else was good, lots of good looking ladies working there as well.
