Review from Ohashii F.
I enjoyed dinner here and the overall experience. The dining area is a little bit crowded on a busy night, but the servers were prompt despite having some difficulty navigating.
The food was delicious. Greek food is sometimes a bit to heavy for my liking so I tried to think outside the souvlaki box and ordered the stuffed pepper. MMMMM nom nom. Very tasty.
My date ordered the lamb souvlaki. I was able to sneak a bite in and I wasn't disappointed.
They offered us some complimentary rice pudding as a dessert prequel - not really my thing, but even this tasted pretty good... ...I mean, for rice pudding.
If you are in the mood for Greek, then I'd give "It's All Greek" a chance to impress you. -

It's All Greek to Me is a wonderful dining experience in summer - when the weathers nice outside, it can be quite calming to people watch, and eat good food. Typically, I swing by when I'm in the area and need something to eat.
As noted by many, the service is great here - the Greek waitresses are lovely and attentive, and always have a smile on their face. Also as noted, the decor is a bit tacky - though it is nice to see pictures of the different areas of Greece, newspaper clippings, and the like. The chalkboard with common Greek pronunciation in the entry way is a nice touch as well. My biggest gripe about eating here is that there isn't much room between tables compared to most restaurants. Not their fault (though one wonders if a re-org wouldn't help), but if someone has a child running around, it could be rather uncomfortable.
So what can you expect if you go here? I would say simple Greek food made very well - it shines for lunches, but will not hold up to five star restaurants. Portion sizes are generous, especially for the price. I'm a big fan of the Stuffed Pepper, although if you come with a group new to Greek food, they have a large "sample" platter with everything from calamari to spinach pastry.
The complimentary rice pudding deserves a special mention - its great, and something I look forward to every time I visit.
So, where does it fall short of the mark? Well, the menu is definitely on the small side (there's a total of four main courses) - and that definitely holds it back from a higher rating. This locale is also quite popular for casual business meetings - if you visit, I recommend avoiding the lunch hour rush. Also, if you're driving, keep in mind this restaurant is located along a one-way street - getting there can be a pain if you aren't familiar with the area. It may be best to park at city center and just walk from there.
If you enjoy (or are curious about) Greek food, have roughly an hour (food typically took 1/2 hour or less to be prepared), and are looking for a casual meal, you'll enjoy yourself here. -

Greek food doesn't get better then this place!
Five of us went on a friday night for my 20th birthday and the restaurant was empty (the reservation we made; not needed lol) so of course we were seated right away by a lovely attentive greek waiter (who didn't speak much english but that didn't pose any problems to us).
The decor is cheesy and tacky but very greek and just adds to ambiance of eating in a classic greek restaurant.
We ordered a bottle of wine for our table and two of the combination #1's for the five of us. The wine was lovely, and the first thing to come out was a spectacular greek salad. I couldn't get enough of it and gobbled up almost one the bowls to myself! Next out was two huge plates of calamari, I don't eat seafood but my family said it was delicious, not overly battered or salty just awesome.
Finally came out our main platters packed with with a chicken kabob's, lemon potato, a spinach pastry, rice wrapped in grape leaf and pita bread with tadzhik and humus. I could have eaten the chicken kabobs, lemon potato and pita with the dips all night! It was amazing food! and a lot of it! even between the five of us we couldn't eat it all and had to take some home. I can't express enough how awesome the food is here!
Finally our lovely little waiter brought out some greek rice pudding and a surprise walnut cake with birthday candle for me :) It was a tasty little cake that I passed around for everyone to try but the rice pudding won me over! It was easily the best rice pudding i've ever had :)
This quaint, quiet little jem hidden downtown is a must go to! I will definitely be going back sooner then later! -

Not too bad for an evening out with an old friend, but nothing spectacular, either.
I was catching up with a gal pal just back from four months in India. The location was perfect (right downtown) and the atmosphere was plenty quiet, so we were able to have great conversation. It was cool to try out the Greek Mythos beer, too.
The food was pretty average. Not terrible, just not particularly flavourful. Our waiter was quite friendly, which aaaaalmost bumped this review up from 2 to 3 stars. I do appreciate good service.
It's a bit of a whole in the wall in terms of decor and style, with fancy tables (from what I could see of the table bases) covered up by crappy, ugly tablecloths. If the food was out-of-this-world, I wouldn't mind if the place looked like a dive, but alas, I was left disappointed. Doubtful that I'll be back.Listed in: Downtown Dining, Meh, Along the LRT line, Greek

Enjoyed dinner here. Simple. Greek. Good food and good value. Very nice dressing on the Greek salad and generously topped with feta.

Had pretty high expectations but just wasn't feeling it. The decor and ambiance is nice, the service was pleasant, but the food wasn't anything that I would come back for. I had the beef souvlaki special (which was way too chewy) and generally everything was just... okay...
It was relaxed and casual and maybe they had the "B" line on in the kitchen as it was a Sunday and a long weekend evening.
I did appreciate the Mythos beer and the modest wine selection. If I had been more enthused with dinner I might have been tempted by some of the delicious greek treats for dessert, but no.
I would be curious to hear what the lunch hour is like as the location is prime for downtown dining if you need to get out of the office and grab a healthy and vegetable-packed lunch. -

Went here for lunch the other day.
From the outside it looks more or less like a hole in the wall. Inside it's got decor that I would describe as "interesting" - not necessarily bad, good, old, or tacky, but just interesting. It was fairly full as it was the middle of the lunch hour, but I got a table right away.
First thing I noticed was that it was fairly loud. Might not always be like that, but certainly during a busy lunch hour you'll have to work to make yourself heard. The noise, combined with my server's accent (which on its own would have been perfectly understandable), made it almost impossible to hear what the specials were, or even that she was asking me what I'd like to drink.
In food fair type Greek places, I always get the chicken souvlaki, so I figured this might be a bit more authentic and tried it. Overall it was a disappointment - for about half the price I could've had something better in a food fair. It "felt" more authentic, but less enjoyable in my mind.
After the meal I was served a sweet, chilled rice pudding, which was a very nice touch. Certainly was nice to have after a load of garlic, and a nice change from getting a mint.
Came away with my clothes reeking of the restaurant (garlicky), again making me wish I had gone to a food fair and emerged smell-less.
Overall I think it's all right as a lunch spot if you really want to sit down and have some Greek food, and certainly if you go off the lunch hour it's reasonably quiet, but I can't see myself going back. -

Tucked away among the corporate buildings in downtown, this restaurant may go unnoticed by some, which is quite unfortunate. If you're actively seeking it though, there's almost no way you can miss its big bold white letters against the green awning. Its simple no-frills exterior lends it that come-and-be-at-home feeling.
The restaurant was not too busy, but steady at the time we arrived, around 7pm. We were able to get a table for our party of four. The interior of the restaurant was cozy and eclectically decorated, as Greek restaurants often are. There were faux vines lining the ceilings, and various Greek trinkets on the walls. They had photographs of their belly-dancing nights posted on the walls, and olive oil bottles perched on high shelves. Across from me on the wall hung a T-shirt translating different English words into Greek.
We started with the hummus and pita, and the calamari for appetizers. The pita was light and fluffy, the best I've had in awhile. The hummus was thick and creamy, but a little on the bland side. I usually prefer a slight garlicky kick in my hummus, rather than an after-taste. The calamari was just the right texture of crispiness, but I found it to be a bit salty. We had no trouble finishing the calamari off though!
For our main dish, we ordered the chicken and lamb souvlaki. My favorite was the lamb, because it was just so tender and chewy, and not too over-powering. Mm, I can still taste it right now. The souvlaki are served two skewers on top of more pita, a heapful of Greek salad, a helping of tzaziki, and a Greek potato may be hiding under your pita :)
We wanted to order dessert, but by that point, we were absolutely stuffed. For desserts though, they offer a choice of either baklava or ek mek.
The price was quite reasonable for the quality of the food. We all ended up paying $80 for the entire meal, including tip. So it came to $20 each. Pretty good for dinner, I would say. Definitely a restaurant that I would go back to!Listed in: Good for Groups, Romance ain't dead!

i like greek food and this place satisfies that craving when i have it. the only real down side is that the price seems a bit high, though greek food in edmonton seems over priced throughout edmonton. still the atmosphere, staff and food are satisfying provided i have the extra money.
