I bought a deal off living social- was super terrified after reading the 2009 review... SO here I am to tell everyone... It's not like that.
Itonica is a great mid range option for people who want an Aveda salon.
I was offered tea several times, and got a great scalp massage during shampoo. These are standards that sometimes go missing when you're getting a cheap deal. I also got a senior stylist despite only paying 65 bucks for partial foils, a cut and style.
Michael wasn't overly chatty - just right... He made my hair classic Reese Witherspoon, even though what I gave him to work with was dry, rooty and brassy... He seemed to understand that the point of the coupon is to bring people in and still give the full service. Great job! I appreciated that so much! I will definitely be handing out the referral cards that get me & my friends a discount in the future. -

After searching high and low for a regular stylist (after a few too many Supercuts styles), I finally called iTonica. Ladies' Haircuts start at $35, which is lower than most and by the time I lost four inches and gained a TON of shape and texture to my thick mess of hair, I only paid $50, which I found quite reasonable.
The receptionist greeted me warmly, which was appreciated at 9:30 on a blustery Saturday morning, took my coat and offered me something to drink. Then I had a nice chat with my soon-to-be-stylist, (Brandi) who seemed really interested in what I was looking for, before she gave me a fantastic aromatherapy scalp and shoulder massage and washed my hair. She adapted my cut from a photo I'd brought in and it looked exactly how I was hoping it would. I also appreciated that she was talkative, but not overly chatty and really seemed focused and doing a great job.
I will definitely be going back and have already recommended Brandi to all of my friends looking for stylists. :0) -

I don't have a regular hair dresser I go to as I usually make an appointment 3-4 days in advance. I seen this place on the internet and there was some decent ratings so I decided to check this place out as I was really in need of a haircut. The hairdresser I got was pretty friendly and outgoing but really didn't listen to what I wanted. She was more interested in talking then listening to what I wanted done with my hair. I am not really picky about my hair cuts, as long as they don't veer dramatically from what I have then I'm am usually happy. Sadly this lady didn't listen and gave me a haircut that was better suited for a 13 year old punky teeny bopper ( I am in my mid 20s). It did not suit my personality or style at all and I felt like cutting it all off as soon as I got home. I couldn't tell what the haircut looked like until I got home and blow dried it straight myself, as she did NOTHING to it (she put a little product into it and let it go into a fuzzy mess). Some hairdressers have to realize it's what the customer wants and not what they want to do with their client's hair.
