This place has the buzz!  When you want to get prepared meats like Salami`s and sausages and headcheese and pretty much everything you can think of in a small town European store that is busy, bustling and friendly.  This is it`.

It has all the buzz about town (Burnaby and extended regions) that make for a great little smoked meat haven. C`mon, read the reviews!  It`s all true!

And you can`t just go once. You`ve got to make that trip and go many many times because there is so much to choose from with so many flavours, texturs and styles.

I`m talking meat!  Big long logs of encased meat from all regions of Europe.

Todays buy was Headcheese...( http://en.wikipedia.or...) and Polish wieners, and blood sausage.

Just remember to grab a number at the front of the store before you venture in too far.
quickly make your decision on what you want and then listen for your number.

The gals behind the counter work fast and are friendly.  If you have questions, just go ahead and ask.  Remember, if you don`task, you don`t get.

Probably one of the most fun foodie adventures I`ve had in awhile.

Parking can be a bit tight, so be prepared.

I passed by this place on my way home and finally decided to pay a visit today. The deli offers sumptuous selection of sausages, fresh meat and cheese. My husband and I both bough 2 kinds of meat deli sandwiches (his was with montreal smoked meat and smoked turkey and I had smoked turkey with roast beef). The price of $4.50 for the quality/quantity of meat and cheese you get is more than reasonable.

I highly recommend this place. Great selection of perogies, chocolate and other European treats!

I bought some samples here before Xmas, and well, let me tell you, it was devoured within 24 hours. Jalapeño and cheese sausage,  kolbassa, and polish sausages tasted great and were perfect with cheese and crackers. I also bought some bacon and wow! -- thick and amazingly fresh. I will definitely be back ... I mean, who am I kidding? Of course, I'll be back!

I love this place.  I am a huge fan of European foods and you can get so much here.  The items consist mostly of foods imported from Germany, Poland, Russia, and other lovely countries I dream of going to.  I can find my delicious German cookies and sauce mixes and coffees and breads and of course the original Haribo Gummi Bears.

Apart from all of that goodness their main business is the meats and they have a very wide selection of smoked goods like Weiwurst and Polish garlic coil and head cheese (if that's your thing).  There is also freshly ground meats, rouladen, liver.  Really I could go on for a while here.  The prices are great and the quality is amazing, no fillers in these products.

If you are looking for original eastern European goods this is THE place to go.

Garlic, Garlic, and more Garlic please!
May I recommend the Kielbasa sausage ring, garlic headcheese, and sliced German ham sausage (loads of garlic).

I, too, have grown up with fine European delicacies as headcheese, kielbasa, German ham sausage, slaska sausage, Hungarian salami, and poppy seed rolls. - SO BELIEVE ME - if this place is not in your navigation system, you don't know what you're missing!

I have yet to find the same quality and selection in any European deli recommended by strangers and friends to date, and any mutual friends that I know agree that (although it's a little pricey) this place is the best around - bar none! You can be quality assured as I know, for fact, that this deli provides to local European restaurants and smaller delis around the greater Vancouver area as well.
Don't overlook the breads, cookies, chocolates, condiments, and sauces from well established local European bakeries and import companies that span the European cultures that are made up here in the greater Vancouver and surrounding areas.

All I can say is you get what you pay for and this place is worth every quarter!

We get their German Ham and Canadian Bacon for our shop and love them!  They are locally made and taste wonderful.  They also give great discounts and freebees!!!

This deli is on my way home from work and I often find myself stopping in for one item and leaving with over $20 in meat product.  Of course the amount of money I spend has nothing to do with the two free sausages that come when you spend more than $20 from the deli counter, but it doesn't hurt.  The items that keep me coming back include the smoked turkey, smoked ribs, beef jerky, pepperoni, pate, and of course the sausages.  Although I'm pretty sure what ever you try from the deli will please.  I also like the creamy European cheeses, the selection of breads and the handmade perogies that they stock.
I would suggest walking around the store to browse before you get a number as you never have to wait very long, but once you start ordering your server will want you to pay them for all your items as they will keep a tally of your deli order.
The quality is better than any deli I have ever been to and the prices are very reasonable.  They make most of their product there and when I drive through the neighborhood I can often smell the smoke house before I even see the building.  They also offer free schmaltz (i.e., lard) if you need to cure a cast iron pan or are making mince meat for Christmas tarts.

Yes and yes again. My first full-time job, many years ago, was at a sausage factory, so I pride myself on having something of a professional interest in charcuterie. (Never mind that I worked in the office pushing paper...)

Yesterday afternoon (December 22) the shop was absolutely crammed with people bearing accents from a multitude of northern and eastern European countries. The parking lot was cloudy with smoke pouring from the sausage smokers. I stocked up for Christmas - Ukrainian ring, liver sausage, fermented salamis, Lyoner sausage. They also have a small but very nice looking selection of fresh meats. I was able to score some baby beef liver, which can be hard to find, and I will definitely be going back for kasserloin. And smoked pork hock.

Good selection of European pickles, cookies, noodles, packages sauces, stuff like that. Also good for Scandinavian fish stuff - pickled herring etc. There were cheeses and fresh baking, but I didn't check those out too closely.

To top it off, freebies: a container of schmalz, and a couple of big tasty sausages that went beautifully with the bean stew we had for dinner last night.

i drive up from washington state just for their kielbasa and ham sausages. The quality and flavor of their meats are unbeatable.  As well, you can taste the additional flavor from the loving hands of the people who prepare the food.  It is certainly worth the drive up and the drive home with the smell of the smoked meat in my car IS WONDERFUL!!!!
    Thanks Dolores J
