Writing this while vegging on my fabulous leather sectional from this store!
Inspiration is a great store - huge showroom with many design lines and also a variety of price points from their own lines to mid-range contemporary like Catellan and BDI, to high end from one of my fave Swiss designers, de Sede.
One of the best features about this place is the size, particulary the huge Natuzzi gallery - we ordered our Natuzzi sectional from here and it's like butter... you seriously want to wrap yourself in this! The gallery focuses on the current lines of made in Italy Natuzzis, not the crap Natuzzi made in China from Sears and the box stores. Ginger Jar in North Van also carries the Italian Natuzzis but Inspiration's showroom really helps you get some looks in mind.
Great custom options on the lines they carry and delivery time was 4.5 months for the sectional and on schedule.
We also ordered a storage unit from an obscure German designer from them and it's floating across an ocean as we speak... will update if anything changes.
Overall a great store with good customer service and a large selection of contemporary European designs. Quality brands and avoids the whole 'replica' trap that a lot of stores fall into these days. -

So I have always considered Inspiration to be a little toooo Italian modern for me.. you know the look..... yellow leather sofa, with shattered glass coffee tables, paired down with an uber-sleek chaise that is shaped like a tongue.... ya you know it! well times they are a changing..
I went in there today and was quite impressed with their assortment and the reno.... and holy crap Batman the customer service was unbelievable, we were approached by three sales associate.. can anyone say commission?
So after closer inspection I realized that they actually have some really cool pieces and what I would consider a reasonable price... They always seemed so unattainable but I think they have changed their pricing strategy because I was considering buying a few of the pieces they had to offer.... and that never happens there. -

A very extended selection of home furniture from mid-range prices all the way up to the pricey Italian Natuzzis. Mostly contemporary styles, great for people who love the modern styles and shapes.
As I was looking for a living room set and a dining room set, their showroom definitely helped me dream up on ideas on what I would want. I am not going to lie -- when I know exactly what I want, nothing else will do, and I rarely seek to compromise. I must admit that their wide selection of Natuzzi sofas were very impressive, but I was ever so disappointed when I found the sofa that I liked, but there was a major finishing flaw that was just unavoidable and definitely was not worth the price I was paying. With such a large (metaphorically) price tag on the sofa, I expect the finishings to be perfectly flawless. And so with a deep sigh, I had to let it go.
They also had a good range of buffets, dining sets and bar chairs -- all of which I am looking for. And again, I got a better idea of what I want, but nothing there seemed to be the one I wanted. They had a display on Skovby dining sets (Danish company and manufacturer), unfortunately they did not have access to the model I wanted.
Very attentive service, and a great selection -- but at the end of the day, I just could not find anything I could get in an order and use it as leverage to persuade them to give me a lower price than what was listed. But if you are going furniture shopping for contemporary styles, I would say this showroom is a good one to visit to get even some ideas into your head. -

Half of my place is from INspiration Furniture because they seem to consistently carry some of the best contemporary designs around. It is true, some of it is pricey, but there is definitely a good selection in the mid-range. Most of the staff are fairly helpful, so shopping here is generally a pleasant experience.

inSpiration is very inspirational...for furniture, interior design and other European decor designs that is. The corner location is a bit hard to find and parking is not the most convenient, however once inside the cool concept-driven, sustainable and wildly elegant designs will make you want to shop shop shop until you drop. Italian leather sofas, chaises and chandeliers took my breath away while the vases and accessory decor pieces were so functional and designed for even those who live in smaller spaces.
