I saw an add on facebook today for the Inn and I was reminded of my trip to Nanaimo two years ago when my brother visited from Toronto. It was nothing like I expected and that is good. When we arrived we checked into our room on the lake side, ground floor and when we opened the sliding glass doors it was like being back at our cottage in Ontario. The room was immaculate, the beds soooo comfortable but best of all this tranquil paradise that we had found in Nanaimo..As much as the rooms were great it was hard to keep me inside I just wanted to sit on the dock and savour the moment forever. My brother loved the continental breakfast but I was not leaving that dock unitl the very last minute. I'll definely be back this summer

Best hotel outside of the downtown core. Being on Long Lake gives one a mild escape from the fact that you are in a city. The location gives easy access to 2 shopping malls as well as a number of good restaurants. Comfortable beds and clean bathrooms.

Enjoy the view from your balcony or patio. Soak in our oversized Jacuzzi or take a stroll to the dock and be witness to the wildlife that calls this lake home. For those who are looking for smoking rooms Nanaimo or non-smoking rooms, we have that and also pet friendly rooms.

Meet the Manager: James Y.
James has been with us at the Inn on Long Lake for over 14 years. He began his time here as a full time night auditor and is now our current Hotel Manager. Having worked in hotels in Fort St. John, Edmonton, Grande Prairie and Vancouver.
