Okay, I had a 3 star review but took it down because although the initial meeting was definitely just 3 stars, their behavior afterwards was great.

The first time I stepped into the shop, it was quite lukewarm. 3 stars, really.

But I have to give them 5 stars for the fact that Sergio was so chill with me changing my appointment 3 times, walking in an hour earlier, and changing my design on him last minute.

Also, the price they quoted was half the price of EVERYWHERE ELSE I've been.

Mostly, though, it was a good experience because 1) it really didn't hurt, and 2) he did it quickly & did a wonderful job.

Thanks Inkface. I'm so glad you guys didn't disappoint me; I have impossibly high standards when it comes to certain things.

However, this shop is not for you if you like everything done super bureaucratically. I wouldn't use the term professional, but it was "chill" (is my lingo right here?)

Where do I start.. I came here to get five Chinese characters by "Face" months ago. He seems alright.. I asked for the characters to be red and black outline on my back for about 210 but he offered to make it 20 bucks cheaper if i wright a 5 star review, I agreed and did it on his phone.  About a week passes when my tattoo pealed, it turned out to be black and hot pink, like, neon pink.. on top of that it looked really crooked. I went back but he wasn't there. I had called the next day to tell him he did a fucked up job and I want my money back for doing a shitty ass job, he said he won't do it but "I can try to fix it" I told him fuck that, I want my money back! you shouldn't have fucked it up in the first place but he kept trying to persuade me to come in and that he won't offer the refund. I pretty much said fuck you and hung up.
Till this day I have that shitty pink tattoo on my back but now I saved enough money for a cover up. I have a appointment to get a cover up at PeterGunz in Arcadia, they seem to know what their doing and they do really good art work for a great price.

Face also did a tattoo on my friend and it came out absolutely awful. Face came off a little too nice to her when she schedule her appointment. He offered to make the tattoo cheaper if she promises to give him a five star review right then and there on his phone before he tatted her. It seemed kinda weird, cause that was the main reason why she went was because of the high stars. She got a quote around her wrist and a cherry blossom tree. Some of the letters are not filled in.. Some letters are huge and some are small but she's too nice to speak up and say it was fucked up. She was saying how much of a creeper by being a little to touchy with her when he wasn't even tatting her. When she told me this story 3 months after she got her tattoo. I just told her to delete the review and do it over. She deleted the review but was scared to give a real review because she heard that Face gave out a girl's address and info online because that girl gave him a bad review. This guy is a piece of shit along with his work. I live in the area and word is. This guy is a sex offender and is dating a highschool girl. Don't waste your time or money here.

*sigh* I originally wrote a review after I got my work done, but took it down, because I like to avoid writing bad reviews (spoiler alert).  But then I figured, that's the point of Yelp, to let others know about your experiences so they can judge for themselves whether they want to try out the place or not.

    * * * * *

I came here some time last summer and wanted 2 circles: a blue one on my wrist (picture posted) and a red one on the inside of my upper left arm.  I looked at the pictures posted on here so I could judge if 2 circles would be simple enough for any artist to do here, and came to the conclusion that I probably wouldn't get any seriously detailed work here, but 2 circles shouldn't have been that big of a deal...............

The people were great and friendly, but that didn't help my tattoo quality.  I understand *perfect* circles are difficult to do, especially on the wrist, since it's a flexible area and the shape would change anytime I moved my wrist, but I understood that before I even walked in.  But that wasn't the problem.  The problem was that they came out patchy, jagged, and the blue circle on my wrist looked like an egg.........when my wrist wasn't bent at all.  In fact, as soon as they were done being tattooed, I noticed a lot of patchy spots, but I figured "Eh, they probably noticed it too, maybe they left them for a reason?". I was probably in and out of the shop in like 10 minutes.  Which, I guess doesn't sound ridiculous considering they were just 2 'circles' a little bigger than a quarter, but I definitely felt like the process was rushed.

Since they do free touch ups, I went in last September after they healed, got them both touched up, but to no avail.  Once they peeled, they still remained terribly patchy and misshaped; I was so embarrassed just walking around with them, especially the wrist one. People would always ask me "...uh, is that a tattoo? Or did you draw on yourself with a marker?" And once I told them it was a tattoo, they looked at me like "...". I started wearing bracelets to cover it up. I got tired of the weird stares. Peoples' looks were a mixture of "I'm so sorry for you", "Why the hell would you get that?" and "Poor thing, you're stuck with *that* on you for the rest of your life".

Well, now I am -not-, because I just got a beautiful coverup for my wrist one; And *not* from here :l

Honestly I went there because I had heard so much about Face but he was no longer there when I went. That should have been my clue to leave but I was so excited to get my tattoo. Im black but im not very dark. I already have a great red tattoo on my upper inner bicep and it looks great. The tattoo artists was hesitant about doing my tattoo in red and black and he was right he didnt know what he was doing. I have 2 keloids Its been three weeks is it looks ... well, it looks like someone dug all extra hard into my skin. I was so excited and now I have to figure out how to make it work ( its my forearms and its pretty big. my fault for trusting an artist I've neer been to for such a visible spot on my body)

Went in the shop to meet the artist Face. I have to say that I was very impressed with the welcome I received. Everyone in the shop was super friendly and made me feel right at home. My artist was called from the back and was super friendly and we went over the tat that I wanted . I told him that I had already seen a lot of his work on Yelp and that I wanted him to add his own little touch to my cookie tattoo. He immediately went to hs appointment book and inked me in. He even advised me if he had a cancellation that he would call me and would get me in sooner. It was about a 2 week wait, so I didn't have to wait that long. I have to say that the shop is absolutely spotless. I was very impressed !!
My appointment time arrived and I went in and Face immediately got to work on paper and in a flash came up with my cookie design that I absolutely adored !! I like the fact that all work is done in another room and not in front of everyone that enters the shop. Each room is private so u don't have a bunch of people all crowded around. The room was very nice and of course spotless. There was a couch in the event u wanted to bring a friend along, and I received a free monster drink when I checked in. I was offered something to drink and freshly baked cookies, which I thought was really cute !! Face made me feel so welcomed and comfortable and has a light touch while working. My tat was done in no time at all and is amazing !!!  My tat is a chocolate chip cookie with a bite taken out and says, "One Tough Cookie", which I am . I am so happy with the quality of work and the friendly staff here at Inkface. My next piece will be the Virgen de Gudalupe and I will definately be back to Inkface to have my work done... Can't say enough good things about the shop and the staff.. Thanks Face !!!!  YOU GUYS KICKASS !!

Thanks Face for my great tattoo and thanks even more for not charging an arm and a leg for it! This was the first time I ever tip someone and thought to myself, maybe I didn't tip enough. I actually thought about going back there after my dinner to tip him some more!

Face was awesome. His artwork is realistic and he really listened to me. I liked that he has an opinion on what works and don't work with the contour of your body and of what drawings look like crap. He improved on the picture I brought in as a sample of what I want my tattoo to be and did a wonderful job.

Overall, Face did not disappoint! I'm coming back again in a few months so my friend can get his piece done too! I will definitely come back once I decide what my 2nd piece would be. Thanks for making my first tattoo a non-regrettable one.

From day one this place kicked ass. Face his family of artist are super nice. If you ask their opinion on anything they will provide you with their most honest answer.

The shop itself is great. It's very modern and not like your typical Hollywood tattoo shop. There are no tattoo designs on the walls just a whole lot of Monster energy drink paraphernalia. :)

My experience was a great one. When I gather the strength and courage to add to my tattoo (on my ribs) I will, without a doubt, pay Face a visit. :)

I came here for its reviews, thinking that they will at least do a decent job since i already supplied them with an outline of chinese characters. Simply just paste it on to my arm and draw. Well, for some reason, it wasnt that simple for them. The tattoo came out with rigid edges, very sloppy looking. For the price of $350 i really thought i got ripped off! Although they are very friendly and made me feel at home, their pricing and service i got was horrible. Advice is to go somewhere else. I've gotten my tat from chespy, so i cant speak for the rest of them... Well now i gotta go get it touched up elsewhere.. They offer free touchup, but id rather pay to avoid another screw up.. Good luck if you still decide to go....

went in last week too touch up the finger tattoo that i got. Face was totally nice again! guess he's always nice :D

but yeah, since my sister and i were both already there for touch ups, we decided to get more tattoos! people always say that once you get a tattoo, you'll become addicted and want more. i use to think that that was silly but now i'm one of those people!

my sis and i both got tattoos of a origami paper crane. Face made them super cute and super fast! great combo since we'll have them forever and its kinda painful.

i always forget how painful it really is until the needle craves into my skin and i want to punch someone. i also forget what a pain in the ass it is to let the tattoo heal! this might honestly be my last one. but i said that after the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and now 5th tattoo. 0_o

My sister has been dying to get her first tattoo, and she wanted us to get one together.  She found Inkface through Yelp, and we came here a few days ago to get our tattoos.  We chose the Latin phrase "in unitate vis," which means strength in unity.

When we first walked in, some of the artists were hanging around the front room around the pool table, laughing, joking around and bumpin music.  Very chill, fun vibe.  Inkface is a clean shop with really funny, friendly guys.

The owner, Face, was really cool too.  I saw some Asian decor in his studio and asked him about some of the pieces.  He took the time to tell me the story behind them and was really friendly.

Oscar was our tattoo artist, and he was really patient with us.  We took a while picking fonts, sizing and placement.  I've been to three different shops in LA now, and this is by far my favorite.  Not only are they very reasonably priced, but the guys are hilarious and down to earth.

I got a similarly sized tattoo at another shop on Melrose that took about 15 minutes to do, and they charged me $110.  Here, Oscar charged only $55, and did an equally excellent job.  He also touched up my 2nd tattoo (the $110 one) as some parts were fading for only $10!  We tipped him over 30%, and he kept asking us if we were sure, did we need change, etc.  What a humble guy!  I was just ecstatic that he did my last minute touch-up for such a small fee.  On top of that, I'm super anal and usually want to see the tattoo stencil on a few different places before committing.  I was absolutely shocked when Oscar got it down on the first try.  It was the exact location I wanted, perfect font size, and everything was in line.

I'm definitely recommending this shop to all of my friends and going back here for future tattoos.  Thanks Oscar!

did a lot of research of where to go to get my first tattoo, thanks to you yelpers, i found inkface!

i came spontaneously and they were able to fit me right in! coming into the shop, everybody was really friendly and available to answer questions. i've been to a few other tattoo parlors with friends for their tattoos, and the tattoo artists/workers never seemed as genuinely happy and helpful like the guys at inkface.

'face' was my tattoo artist and charged me $50 for my phrase/design that was about 3 inches long. this is hella cheap compared to a nearby shop (would've cost double and they make only 'original designs')!!! even though the tattooing process did not take long, face was really sweet and said that i could take as many breaks as i'd like til i was ready because he saw the fear in my eyes from the tattoo needle. :)

i believe it was 'rizzo' that bandaged me up after the tattoo. he explained everything i needed to do for the healing process and answered all of my questions.

i would most def be coming back for another tattoo (as soon as i know what i want)!

i'm an inkface tattoo fan :)

    ambience:
really kick back with comfy couches. i really love their decor with the skateboards hanging on the wall; looks like a nice bachelor pad if you ask me :). i've walked by their other rooms, and one of them was pink with zebra stripes! i totally wish it was my room! it's just a nice place i'd like to be around all the time.

My girl friend and I had just come from interviewing a couple of artists in Pasadena, and after not finding the right one for myself, we decided to Yelp surrounding tattoo shops. Thats how we found Inkface.

Walked in on a friday to be greeted by Face, the owner. I hadn't seen any of the artists' portfolios, so I thought I'd tell him what I wanted to get done and if he could recommend someone. He recommended Vetoe, who wasnt there that night (he's only there sunday, monday, tuesday). After seeing Vetoe's portfolio and speaking with Face for a little bit longer,I decided that I would trust his opinion - at least give it a try. So I came back when Vetoe was there and I knew after speaking with him that I wanted to get my tatt done by him (like Face said the visit before, you just know when you find the right person to do your tattoo). So I scheduled my appointment. They don't take deposits, and they don't draw up your tatt ahead of time.

When I showed up for my appointment, I reminded Vetoe what I wanted and he was able to draw it up with me telling him exactly what I liked/disliked, and of course including his own expert advice. Took about 45 mins to finalize the drawing, but I didnt mind because I hadnt eaten yet.

It took about 5 hours for my tattoo and I loove it! He produced something better than what I had envisioned in my head. The lines are clean, the shading is so good, and the detailing is awesome. I totally felt at ease with Vetoe: he's friendly, easy to talk to, and in no way arrogant or conceited about what he does. Im definitely going back to get more work done by him. Thanks Vetoe and Face for making my first tattoo experience such a great one!

My friend and I have gone to a few other tattoo places and none of them compare to the service, quality and price you can find here. The staff here are super friendly and makes you feel comfortable. Between my friend and I we have gotten 4 tattoos total here and we have never been disappointed by any of them.

Face is amazing, he knows what to do to transfer your idea into a master piece artwork. My friend and I will usually walk in with an idea or multiple ideas and he helps us combine it into one. He constantly checks up and talks to you while your are getting your tattoo to ensure that you are okay and somewhat comfortable (since we all know having a neddle attacking you isn't the most pleasant feeling).

Also, if you have people going with you they have room in their rooms for them to sit and watch or they have TVs and a bunch of dvds you can choose from to watch. I've been to a few places with other friends where we had to stand outside the door for hours while our friend was getting her tattoo done. So in my mind this a plus since I do like having my friends to go with me for support.

I must start off by saying I had a pounding hangover when I went to this tat shop.
But sadly I found the tats on the boards to be rather generic, the typical  insignia or symbols of the Chinese Nanchang heavy tractor works sprinkled the board  mixed in with a Viking smörgåsbord of druidic runes ready  to be branded on the ass or ankle of the next "Whole Foods"  grunge cashier or stock clerk working themselves through community college then eventually back into moms basement.

Now the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing like a 1930's Shanghai opium den...well thats what I was hoping for after a night of debauchery and fuzzy memories when I got the bright idea that I would get a tat 2 show myself@ and a disinterested world that I was some faux puss Conan the  Suburban, that I was serious about sobriety.Something with a indecipherable religious motif seemed appropriate in my state of mind.

Watching the giddy  consumer's add another Yu-Gi-oh! character tattoo to an already overcrowded overworked arm or midriff no matter the intent sobered me up pretty quick,To end my story...I chickened out.

I walked down the street bought another Red Bull and Gray Goose and spent the remainder  of my day in a delightful  stupor , daydreaming of a awesomely cool Chinese tat that would show- off my rebellious anti social streak and maybe a nipple ring to round off my look.

Ive found my place! I love tattoos been dying to get my back piece at least started but haven't found a place that's good enough to, ro doesnt charged an arm an leg and a head for BS work.
A girlfriend of my referred me to Face whose the owner of the shop and i am forever in debt to both of them.
Once you walk into the shop it doesn't really feel like your in a tattoo parlor more like a place to hangout. The boys there are super nice ask if you want water or anything right away. They give you a seat don't rush you you can look over their portfolios for a while.
My piece is still in the process but it's being done by Face himself. He a great guy, he sits down with you and really talks to you so he can get exactly what your looking for down or better!! The price is really good especially for being down in a shop that is for sure sterile and safe and the quality. His work is solid, beautifully detailled, captured everything i wanted, and hes quick with the needle. Im not really good with pain sometimes but he was really patient with me and busted my piece out in 2  and 1/2 hrs spit into two sessions with breaks! The other boys work there i havent gotten work done by then yet but the are all really good.
Im going back soon to fix a piece on my hip and continue finish my masterpiece on my back. And i refer all my friends here!!

I'd be lying to you if I said I was cool and hip enough to know where to get a "tat" off the top of my head in the OC area, let alone in SG Valley. I simply went to Yelp and it pointed me in this direction, a non-descript building next to some used-car lot off Valley Blvd. Judging by the looks, I was skeptical at first.

As we walked up to the building, we slowly poked our heads inside. There was nobody around but a pool table and some bikes hanging on the wall. Hmm, okay. I take a step back. But wait, there's an "Inkface Tattoo" sign and there are some dudes with tattoos on their faces and necks. Ah, this must be it.

We were greeted by Foghorn and he immediately made us feel welcome. I explained what I wanted in my tattoo, and right away started looking for ideas on the computer. Before I knew it, I was sitting in a chair, getting ready to get inked up by Andres, who is mellow and chill. Looking at his artwork, he's a master of the macabre.

On the flip side, Face is just full of energy, ready to share his stories of his past tattooing experience along with his hobbies. It felt like we knew the guy already, just hanging out on a cloudy afternoon. By the time he finished my wife's tattoo, several hours had flown by. We had a great time and would definitely look to return when (or if) the tattoo "itch" ever returns again.

I am so glad hubby found InkFace on Yelp. This is by far the BEST tattoo place I ever been to! I'm still excited over it. Hubby and I have been talking about getting a tattoo but never really planned it.

We went to Alhambra for dim sum and afterwards, hubby said lets check out this tattoo place not knowing we were actually going to do it. This is definitely a hard to find place because there is no sign visible from a far. When we walked in, it was a homey feel; with a dining table with cuties (tiny oranges or tangerines), pool table, and very comfortable couches. At first, I thought it was a cafe until you look through a mini window where you can see the tattoo work areas.

Foghorn works at the front and he was chill and cool guy. We were offered beverages like we were at a friend's house. Then we met Face who has so much talent and not just in his tattoos I have seen in his portfolio but he races bikes. He even showed off his bike he just completed building from scratch. We talked with Face while waiting for Andres to do our tattoos. It was just so comfortable being there like we were just hanging out.

Hubby went first with his tattoo and it was done pretty quickly. Andres did a really good job. Andres has his own style as an artist should have but when it came to the design I wanted, he wasn't comfortable in doing exactly what I wanted to see, so he wanted Face to do it. I was worried I wouldn't be able to get it done since Face mentioned he had an appointment coming in, but fate stepped in and the client canceled, so Face was able to do the design I wanted. Face's office has a collection of movies so while I was having my tat done, I was watching UP just like I would have at home.

The tat came out beautiful and exactly what I visioned. I think it is amazing how a tattoo parlor can have great people, great service and great talent and I don't think I can find all these great attributes anywhere else but InkFace. Keep up the awesomeness!

I totally enjoyed my experience here and is thinking about going back just to hang. Their prices are very reasonable.

Best tattoo shop EVER! I fell in love with the shop when I first found it on Yelp, and I fell head over heels when I actually went there. The whole staff is very nice and incredibly welcoming. As soon as I walked in, I felt very at ease and I felt like I was in really good hands. The shop was very clean and really chill.

I got tattooed by Oscar the Monster, and he is for sure a monster! He was very laid back and very cool with everything. He had a good sense of humor, he sketched exactly what I wanted, and he was very professional! He also had a really good Mumford and Sons Pandora station on while I was getting tattooed. The tattooing process was literally painless and Oscar had a very light hand. He also has very reasonable prices and he didn't take forever to get it done and over with. He also gives out business cards with his cell phone number on them, which was a great convenience when I realized I lost my A&D Ointment and didn't know what to do without it!

Overall, such a great experience! I'm still so happy with my finished goldfish tattoo!

Oscar the Monster is the MAN!

So I told my friend that I wanted to get my first tattoo...he recommended Inkface Tattoo and told me "you have to get Face to do it"...so I finally went in a couple of days ago to check it out, I went by myself and was really nervous, but that quickly faded the guys there made me feel welcomed as soon as I walked in and the first thing they did, after asking me to look through the books, is offer me something to drink. Face walked out from the back and asked me if I had been helped and if I wanted something to drink and if I had any questions...so after looking through the books i did decide to go with Face to do my tattoo...he asked what I wanted, Where, and when I wanted it done I told him I wanted it done the next day and he said he had a cancellation and that it was meant to  be.

So I came back the next day and got a super warm welcome by Face, he had remembered me from the day before and  greeted me by name. We went through and decided on a design, while he was working on the stencil, he asked me how I had heard about them then he said something that I appreciated "even if you don't get a tattoo by us, we treat you how we wanted to be treated"

So I waited in the very home feeling waiting area while they set everything up, then Face called me to the back to get it done...when I told Face that this was my first tattoo he made sure I was comfortable and at ease before he stared and told me it's OK to let him know if i I needed a break...while he was working on me he was joking around with me asking if I was crying...and every few minutes he asked me if I was OK and if I needed a break, once he was done and let me see my beautiful work of art I loved it...I let him know that I would defiantly  coming back for my second one.

What I experienced, and how I was treated was everything I was hoping for , for my first tattoo...I am totally going to continue going back and recommending them to everyone I know

So I've been back about a million times since my first tattoo almost a year ago, I've gotten 4 more tattoos by Face (soon to be 5) and 1 From Oscar. Gotta say I'm still as happy as I was the first day I walked in to this place. The guys never disappoint, are quick to crack a joke with you, and make you feel as welcome here as you were walking into a family member's home, whether it's the first time you walk in or the 1 millionth time you walk in.  Even If you're just walking in to hang out! Don't think I would ever get tattooed anywhere else, or send my friends to anyone else...these guys are awesome!

So, I got my first tattoo done today by andres :] The atmosphere in the shop was very friendly when my mom and I walked in. Andres saw and listened to what I wanted in the tattoo and he drew it out in about 15 mins. When I went in to get the tattoo done, I noticed very beautiful paintings of his in the room. He's a very nice person with a good attitude (redundant). All in all, I had an AWESOME experience here, and I suck at giving reviews... :/

This is the place to go if you're around the area or not even around the area XD

It's NO BS.  I've been longing to get a back piece done.  I searched around for the right artist to get the job done.  Well, they aren't convincing enough to do the job.  So, I yelped around and found INKFACE, with outstanding review.

I decided to check out the shop. When I walk in, the atmoshpere is very comfortable.  The place is clean and full of random art pieces from different background. Face, the owner, very down to earth person.  He answered all the questions that I had.  He made suggestions to add background besides the main tattoo that I wanted to get.

I came back to get started on the project.  Face did free hand of my tattoo.  He added backgrounds to colaborate with the tattoo that I am getting.  The finish product is AMAZING.  It shows quality and the hard work that he puts into it.  Thanks to FACE for the outstanding job.

If you want quality work done on you, go to INKFACE Tattoo, Alhambra, CA.

Do you have a tattoo that needs a fixin?! An ex-lover's name that needs to be covered up with that Phoenix you always wanted? That tribal band that you thought looked so hot ten years ago but just looks lame and dated today?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, it's time to go see Face. He is a skillful artist that has truly mastered his craft. Face was able to cover-up a less than professional, permanent mistake on my back. To see my tattoo today, you would never really know that I once had a six inch eye-sore.

I am happy to say that I have learned my lesson. You can also bet that for any future tattoos, I will surely go to Inkface Tattoos.

The wife & I were looking into getting some new ink. Our old shop in Old Town Pasadena closed. We checked out another place in Oldtown but they wanted $80 for a little heart that my wife wanted. Needless to say we left.

I searched on my sidekick using the new Microsoft Bing application for tattoo parlors in my area (91030) and it produced a list. We called two places that had five stars, Ink Fiend Art  and Inkface. Ink Fiend didn't accept American Express so I called Inkface and they also didn't take AmEx...but they did take Visa & Mastercard.

We decided to cruise over to Inkface and check it out. Don't be fooled by the exterior decor. There's no flashy sign or anything to direct you inside....only the address numbers. We were hesitant at first but we came in and were greeted by the Inkface crew.

As everyone has mentioned, the customer service was great. They offered us a seat and some water. My wife talked with Rudy about her tattoo and they got to work. I was watching my two-year old daughter and chatting with Khang about what I wanted.

I showed him what I was interested in getting. He got to work doing some research and we set an appointment for next Friday.

Rudy (a Marine veteran like myself) was really cool. He made my wife really comfortable and hooked up her tattoo at a reasonable price.

It was completely random that we chose Inkface....but I'm really glad we found it.

I only gave 4 stars for now because I still have to get my tattoo.

If I could, I'd give this place 10 stars.
After visiting a bunch of tattoo parlors, I finally decided to go to Inkface. My friend was able to get her tattoo touched up for $20 (other places were going to charge her a minimum of $60) and I got a colored tattoo of a butterfly for only $30! Khang did both of our tattoos, and my friend and I are both extremely happy with his work.
Everyone there is really friendly, and they do their best to make customers feel comfortable. For example, they kept offering us something to drink. Haha.
My friend and I love Inkface, and we're planning to go back sometime this summer...especially since Khang is uber cute! ;)

For vacation break me and my best friend decided to both get our second tattoo...we hadn't gotten one in awhile.  The last time was 3 years ago....enough said.  Anyway, the first time we got our tattoo was at My Tattoo in Alhambra.  The place was a nice place, but recently they had an increase in prices and hours of operation weren't as flexible.

So, me and my buddy decided to Yelp a good place around Alhambra and the first thing that popped up was Inkface.  After we read all the great reviews, we decided to give it a try.  And let me tell you, this place has impeccable hospitality!  The guys there are so down to earth and professional.  They knew exactly what we wanted and gave us their expert opinion.  They even kept offering us water when we were waiting or getting inked up.

I checked out their website and it turns out there are two tattoo artists, but when I went the only one working was the owner, Face.  He's an awesomely chill guy!  He did our tattoos extremely quick and precise!  He also had some DVDs for us to watch while we were getting inked up.  I highly recommend getting it done by him and if you mention Yelp, you get an additional discount!  In fact, my small tattoo which would have probably cost $50 at My Tattoo was only $30 at Inkface!  Talk about bargain!  And FYI, the exterior of the store is misconceiving because they don't have a sign outside.  It use to be some financial building or something, so don't get confused.  Just head inside.

Anyway, all in all, I give this place two thumbs up!  I highly recommend this place to everyone!

I had a tattoo done at another tattoo parlor and the guy messed up on it pretty bad (even after a touch-up), so I did some research and found this place. It had really good reviews, so I thought to check it out. The guys in the shop introduced me to Face, and he said he could fix it for me, which was GREAT because I'd hate to have a bad tattoo for the rest of my life.

Face was super nice and made me feel very comfortable ^^ He was able to fix my tattoo and make it look even better than what the other guy did. What was really awesome was that he let me chill in his shop after getting it fixed even when he had other appointments, I didn't feel like I had to leave right away after getting it done. He is very talented and self-taught, and his business philosophy is that he's there to give you a great tattoo, not to waste your time and money.

I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to get a new one, or just needs one fixed or touched up. Face is very talented and from what I saw so are the other tattoo artists working here =)

I was in the market for my back to be done up for about 8 months until 3 different people that had no relations told me about this place... "INKFACE this, INKFACE that..." So I decided to check him out. I must have bugged Face all week and he was the most nicest guy ever... He answered all my questions and concerns respectfully before I made "THE BEST TATTOO DECISION"  which is choosing Face to do my work...So after 6 different sessions, going thru a few pain spots and gripping the crap out of my iphone... I was done...and lo and behold... the dopest one of a kind collage work I have ever seen (please remember, I was checking out tons of different places within an 8 month period)... I still get goosebumps on how sick my back looks (don't mean to be cocky, but its pretty sick).  All I had told him was what I wanted on my back, and he came up with this one of a kind work of art...

To Shawn, Christina and Mark..... Thank you for introducing me to this place...

And now, its my turn to introduce to you the 21st century greatest TATTOO artist...

    Thanks Face...

I was referred here by my cousin who got a tattoo with Face.  She loves it here and believe me she is a difficult one to please.  We called and tried to book with Face who was apparently REALLY busy so we got Oscar.  Well, Oscar is great AND he likes Gogol Bordello so we booked with him.  Let me tell you there is definitely talent at this place.

My bf has already had three tattoos done by Oscar in the last two months.  He is always getting compliments on them (which really strokes his ego too) so we're always sending people to Inkface.  The last time we were there we got to chill out with Face who made us feel at home.  Along with the talented tattoo artists there is such a chill vibe at this place that you feel like you could just come out and hang.  Next time Im in there, im planning on bringing in some carne asada for the guys while I get my next tatt.  So to sum it up here's why YOU NEED TO GET A TATT AT INKFACE:

    (1)   They accept CREDIT CARDS.  Seriously, the last time I had to use two different ones and it worked.  Phew thank god.

    (2)   They are open until ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT (I think 2am or something like that?!?!?)  My bf and I got a wild hair and came over to the shop around 1030 on a Tuesday and were there enjoying ourselves and chilling with the guys.

    (3)   They sell Monsters for $2.00. En serio.

    (4)   You can walk in, talk designs, go to the Hat while they finish up your design and come back and get your Tatt.

I love this place!  Highly recommended.  Oh and dont mind that Face is a Boston fan.

This place has such great reviews for a reason, they completely deserve them. I have been getting tattooed for about 7 years now, and have gone to at least 10 different shops between here and san francisco, and without a doubt Inkface wins.

The shop staff are all a bunch of super hard working, friendly and helpful dudes. If you read my other reviews on tattoo shops, even if the artist is talented, if their attitude sucks I dont see a reason to sit down for them. You are giving them a lot of money, and trusting them with a PERMANENT image on your body. The artists and Inface seem to very much understand and respect that.

I was tattooed by Face, and really enjoyed myself! He has a tv set up in his room with a bunch of movies that you can watch which seriously helps distract through the tattooing process. He has a beautiful girlfriend too, who was in and out of the room sitting and talking with me.

I really recommend this shop, and if I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would. The artists are talented AND friendly, which seems to be a rare combination in Los Angeles.

Up and Coming and Taking Over!!!
If you want an artist with some skillz...this is the place!
If you want professionalism...this is the place!
If you want honesty in your artist...this is the place!
If you want friendliness in your artist...this is the place!
If you want comfort as you get inked...this is the place!
If you want some laughter with the pain...this is the place!
And as Face would say, If you just wanna hang out...this is the place!

I met Face not too long ago, but it seems like I've known him forever! I've gotten a couple of things from him already..he saved my arm by covering up errors and did an awesome piece on my chest! He has also worked on a good number of my friends who have no complains as well.

    Good luck homie'!

Inkface is the place to get a tattoo specially ur first tat.....I got mine about 3 wks ago.  by Andress he is very, very professional and the place is very clean.  I really got a good vive as soon as I walked in.  My friend also got her tattoo about a month ago and we r both very happy with the results.

P.S.  Andress is soo professional that he's on FB and we both had questions in regards to our tat's and it didn't take him a minute to respond back to our questions....I love that!..it shows he cares about his customers.

Kind of a late update but i got my big piece a few months ago. Took about two hours and Face was again my artist for this piece. Overall, i'm happy with the tattoo. Although i scored inkface with 5 stars, i'm planning on going somewhere else for my next piece. This is still an awesome tattoo shop. Very friendly and clean. They really tend to your needs and make sure they get a good idea of what you want.

Went into the shop, was immediately greeted and then offered a seat and some water. I didn't have to wait long since I made an appointment and trust me, this is not like going to the doctor's office. =P I had my tattoo done by Face. (My first tattoo, by the way) I got along with him and the others great. They're really cool people who made me feel at ease.

To be honest with you, I HATE needles....but just with the vibe of the whole shop and how everyone was so cool, that quickly calmed me down. It didn't take long to get exactly what I wanted and at a great price.

I highly recommend Inkface Tattoos for your next (or your first) tattoo!

Everyone was friendly and offered great customer service.  CHESPY re-inked and touched up a faded tattoo on my forearm.  After a week, things are healing well and his work looks sharp.  Inkface showed an appreciation for my business and I would consider returning for more work.
