I lived in a penthouse suite in this apartment building for a year and I absolutely loved it! It had two bedrooms plus a den, two washrooms and a kitchen with a view of Granville Street. I could actually see INSIDE the Commodore Ballroom. Kitchen comes handy with a dishwasher, garburator and plenty of plugs for small kitchen appliances. Unit also comes with a stackable washer/dryer. The only thing missing was closet space.
The building itself probably has THE best location for downtown Vancouver. The rent is relatively cheap considering where it is, and the building is really well maintained.
There was someone in the lobby every day washing the floors and windows, and there is also always a security guard on site... although not always easy to find (the building does have 9 floors). It's kind of a high-security building, but totally appreciated considering there are homeless people outside begging for change at all times. There is a small patch of grass outside the building and people seem to enjoy drinking their coffee and smoking their doobies there. It's probably one of the only spots downtown where you can find a patch of grass to do that, other than Robson Square... which now has even less grass than before.

* Amazing location: stone's throw away from Robson Square, Shopping, Transit,
* Relatively cheaper than anything else downtown, especially for the state of the building
* Underground Parking
* Bike Storage
* Decent Recycling Room
* Garbage Shute
* Dishwasher / Garburator
* View (from 9th floor penthouse, and any apartment facing Robson Square)
* Fiber Optic Internet!
* Close to food and groceries (namely IGA and Choices on Richards)
* Above a Chapter's store ... can you say cookbooks?!?
Thumbs Down:
* Noisy (good luck trying to get some sleep between 10pm and 2am on Fridays and Saturdays)
* Little closet space inside apartment, and storage rooms in the basement are usually already occupied - waiting list, anyone?
* Since it's in the heart of the Entertainment district, the building gets over-run with drunken hoochies on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. They always ended up making a huge mess in the hallways in the lobby, leaving food wrappers and booze bottles everywhere. Don't these people have manners?
During my time here I got to witness countless festivals, hockey games (notably Vancouver's Game 7 loss to the Bruins in 2011) and live concerts, all of which were literally steps away from home. Nothing beats that!
If I ever move back to Vancouver I will definitely try to get an apartment here again. It's just too good to be true.
