Oh boy, I am a fan, this reminds of many stores back home (Scarborough, not India)! It's called India Bazaar, but it's an Indian, Carribean, and East African store. I was in the area and in search for some fresh roti which they had. It was $10 for 5 very large ones which was a bit expensive, and I don't think they were made with atta flour so they weren't as flavourful as I wanted them to be, but still much more tasty than you could expect from a frozen roti. They also sell dahl puri rotis for those so inclined.
I browsed for a while looking for something else to grab and eventually decided on some okra and a pistachio kulfi. An interesting mix of items not to be found easily at any traditional grocery store. I went through their flour and spice section very slowly and there is a lot there to make me happy.Listed in: Indian/Desi Grocery Stores

If you need spice for your lentil dal or crave a sojourn to Bollywood this hybrid Indian grocery store-cum-video rental shop has what you're looking for. On the city's east side, this shop is a cultural teleporter; it makes you feel like you've just stepped into an Indian bazaar. Bollywood music is playing, staff, family and friends stand around talking and laughing. The shelves are lined with exotic foods unknown to the average western palette. There's a mix of spice and musk in the air and one imagines all of the fabulous foreign dishes that could be made to make dinnertime more interesting, if life weren't so hectic and busy. If Indian fast food is as close as you'll ever get to authentic, there's a section of pre-prepared Indian sauces that seem a bit cheaper than they are at Safeway.
