I feel like I'm just post-padding by reviewing In-N-Out. Everyone knows this place is the bomb, with the best burgers in fast-food-land at an awesome price. Animal style, 4x4, grilled onion, yadda yadda,.
SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!
Every time I come here, I bemoan the fact that In-N-Out has not yet opened up a location in Seattle, where I live now. -
Review from Chandler M.

This INO could use some pointers from the rest of the INOs I've been to in California. This was, by far, my least favorite.
The burger, animal style, was still very good, but something about the way they made it just didn't quite hit the spot as well as those I've eaten anywhere in the Bay Area. The fries, while not on par with McD's and Wendy's in terms of greasiness, were still the greasiest I've eaten at an INO.
Parking was not a problem, but it sits in a large strip mall.
Service was not particularly friendly. I didn't get the impression the people that worked there like working there (well, except the guy that actually took my order, he was good). The local population when I visited didn't seem particularly friendly that day, so maybe it rubbed off on and grated the employees.
The restaurant was just okay in terms of cleanliness. I felt like I could've been in my average McD's.
INO is INO, the best fast food burger around...period. Relative to other locations, however, this one was almost disappointing. -
Review from Shy A.
Just because....when I was 20 years old, I was rounding out my 6th year as a vegetarian....My family thought I was absolutely mad-a Filipino vegetarian? I blamed it on by stubborness, unwilling to lose a bet I had made to my dad. I had an AWFUL day at work and when I say awful I mean put me to tears awful. I'm a bit of masochist, I wanted to hurt. and the only way that I could at that moment was to eat a big fat greasy cheeseburger.
Mission accomplished. I haven't gone back to being a veggie since.
Thank you In-N-Out burger for breaking me out of that spell! Now I've regained my family's respect....Love their protein burger when I don't want to feel like a hog.
In-N-Out isn't my favorite burger but it'll do in a pinch. -

Got my usual "genex style" Double Double here on my first trip to this In-n-Out Burger. I had just met a woman who worked at In-n-Out, and that made me crave it. This is a pretty standard one although it's nice and close to the airport too...

Every time I'm in CA, I have to go. It's always consistently the best burger experience of all time - two words, "Animal Style!"

For the price you are getting a great deal. It is fresh and made to order. I go for animal style which includes grilled onions. You can not go wrong plus they are open late.
The special spread is actually thousand island and you can get your burger protein style which is sans bun. -

Does it get any better?
It's in-n-out, and it's busy & the shakes are amazing.
#2 with Animal Style Fries & a vanilla shake.
How could it not be 5*s????????? -
Review from Jando S.
Just as Morgan Spurlock ate his way to 25 Ibs heavier with a Mickey D diet, Matt Damon put on a much heftier 40 Ibs frame by discontinuing his exercise routine and eating lots of In-N-Out Burgers each day. What a lucky man.
As much as chains strive for identical looks and similar results, it's clear that many locations are never the same. This In-N-Out is the quintessential example of what a great one could and should be.
Service is outstanding. The drive-thru is always moving and the wait is never long, same goes for the traffic inside, where numbers are being called out like they're hot cakes. Everyone is working hard, pushing out orders, and the rapport is pretty evident when watching everyone in their respective stations assemble beautiful burgers and rather quickly. If this kitchen was on Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen, surely this would be the winning team.
The burgers are exactly the kind of quality California style In-N-Out quality that the hype is built on. The burger bread has a slight toast for a small crunch, a smear of their amazing sauce across the bread, filled with fresh bits of lettuce and tomato, and the meat is like a butter that melts in your mouth. Make it animal style, same goes with the fries for an added fast foodgasm.Listed in: In And Out (USA)

This location isn't the most convenient to get to because you have many cross streets that provide lots of traffic if you want to dine here.
Food was good as usual. The only thing I can say was that the cashier that helped myself and my gf didn't get my order right on the first try, so that bums me out a little bit. They should be good enough to know where the choices are at and navigate smoothly so they don't have to start over on creating the complete order again and again. -

What else can you say about the best burger place in the United States! 5 guys, GO BACK TO THE EAST COAST. We have our own unique spot here in Cali, and you just have to get one every time you come.

In N OUt thats what a moo burger is all about. IN N Out has always been a solid place to get a good fast food burger. Probably one of the only fast food places I would go to for a burger. I prefer Rocky's off ingraham as far as a real burger, but hey... Though I feel its healthier and dont get bothered by their psalm references on the bottom( wish they would be budda quotes;-) I do think it is a little more expensive but worth it if in a rush.
The line does get busy for drive thru but the send someone out to take your order so your wait is minimized.
Favorite meal: #1 Double double-no pickles, animal style fries with a neopolitan shake(never leaves me wanting more) Shake is delicious secret sauce does cost extra but if you dont want to pay for that just ask for spread
Freebies: Stickers, Spread (like secret sauce you don't have to pay for!), In n Out Hat! the paper 1 -

Double Double animal style with Animal Fries.... Gotta love it.
The fries are fresh.. (I get them crispy) the burgers are tasty. Love that they come with everything you need on a burger.. Lettuce, tomato, onion if you dont go animal.
Anyplace you can get a good T-Shirt for $9.50 cant be all bad right?
This is no gourmet... Just a classic hot juicy cheesburger and fries. -

I think InNOut is a fantastic burger place. If they were more expensive I would just think they were pretty good, but it's the price relative to the quality of the food that gets them the five stars for me.
When I can get a triple stacked (3x3) burger for $4.14 (Obviously without a drink or fries), you know you're doing something right. Ask for it animal style and put chiles on it and you have one fantastic burger. It's definitely worth the drive from campus and when someone brings up the restaurant, it's way too tempting to turn down most of the time.
I will admit that it's not it's not the all time best burger place I've been to in terms of taste, but in terms of fast food burgers? It's the best I've ever had. -

Coming from NJ, I was really expecting a lot from this. Everyone I know who lives or has been to California has said In-N-Out Burger was the best. Period. So as soon as we got off the plane and picked up our rental car, we drove straight here.
And I hate to say it, but I was severely let down. I got a regular number 1 with the works, fries, and lemonade. I was really looking forward to this big juicy burger, and felt like I got shafted. While i was expecting a nice juicy burger, I got a thing patty with a lot of lettuce. I did find the fries to be good however.
Our service here was great as the staff was very friendly, but yeah I was just very let down. I can't even say this is one of the top 10 burgers I've ever eaten. -

Consistently great grilled cheeses and fries. Nearly always a long drive thru line, save your gas - park and go inside. It only takes a tiny bit longer and you can take that extra minute to use the restroom and drink as many refills of your soda as you can.

I was BAAAACK! I was in California in July for a wedding and as my friends and I drove out to Laguna for the day (per my request) I convinced them that they just HAD to try In N Out Burger. Those midwestern girls had never tried In N Out- poor things! Don't fret! Under my tutelage, they tried and fell in love with In N Out! Can you blame them?
Yes, I know there is the super secret "insiders" menu but I am partial to the double double and so that's what I got. I also got 4, yes FOUR In N Out paper hats, which I suspect may make an appearence this upcoming Halloween here in Chicago. Now if only I could get my hands on the full uninform....
All in all, In N Out burger is just fantastic. The only sad part is that there are NO locations here in Chicago! HELLO!! This is the midwest! We eat way more burgers than those Cali folks! If 5 Guys burgers can set up franchises here in Chicago, I feel that In N Out can as well. Plus, I feel it would make my Halloween costume more authentic if I could give out free In N Out burgers.Listed in: Best Burgers

Just wanted to let you know how impressed I was with your manager, Nick, at the Sports Arena Location on Monday, May 7th. Having worked in the food and beverage industry for 40 years, it is a great feeling to walk into your stores and always find someone or something to smile about these days. I had asked Nick a simple question @ the cooking prep process of the fries..he gave me an entire history lesson & tour of the entire process that is used to create your success. Not only was he kind, informative, knowledgable and accomodating, he is Very Proud to be a part of the company, and the 13 years he has been with you. He has a very positive working interaction with the team. I have been eating at in-n-out for years...Nick taught me more in that short time than I have picked up on my own. Hang on to this guy. (don't think for a mimute that the community does not recognize that you take care of your staff with more than just talk...they can afford to work for you. Bravo!)

The "King" of fast food. Unlike other fast food restaurants, the food here tastes "fresh". Their ingredients and the "never frozen" patty really stands out. At first the menu can seem a little small, but you have the ability to customize your burger in quite a many of ways. I would go to this website if you are looking for different combinations, http://aht.seriouseats... But why would you get anything other than Animal Style?
The crazy thing is how cheap it is. If you just get the cheeseburger it is only like $2 and the double double is $3, you can't nearly get a better burger elsewhere for that price. The french fries do taste a bit different than the usual, but it is still soo good.
The only negative I can think of is that it is always crowded. No matter what time of the day you go, it will be crowded. Expect to wait a bit.
Would I go back? Every time I'm in Cali... -

In-n-Out first-timer review here! Thanks to all the Yelp tipsters for secret menu ordering help. I think I managed to get it right without flubbing up too much: double-double animal style with well-done fries.
Order came up quickly and we chowed down before making a break for the airport. Gotta agree with everyone on the animal style order... that's where it's at. I expected a sloppy mess with all the extra condiments, but the cozy wrap job kept it all in place.
Fries were a little disappointing. Expected some more crunch, esp with the well-done request, so may try animal style on those too next time.
And there will be a next time. -

What can I say.. I LIKE THIS!
They don't have a huge menu,
but what they do DO (ha, I said doo doo)
They DOO very well! And at affordable prices.
Fresh ingredients, No transfats, no additives or preservatives.
What's not to like?
It's the only fast food I will allow my kids to eat.
And its the only fast food I enjoy.
4 woofs.. Yay.

meh, I don't see what all the hype is about. Service was quick, restaurant was packed and messy.
food is ok, but I've had better fast food burgers and fries before. For $5-$6, you can't really complain. -

It is in-N-Out. It is clean, shiny, and friendly. It gave us animal-style burgers and perfectly crisp fries quickly and with a smile. It made me smile in return.

Now I will admit, In and Out is not my favorite burger spot...but it is the hus' fav so compromises must be made!
We came in for a late lunch following a night full of drinking, so a burger and fries were definitely in order to soak up the disaster from the night before.
My personal fav is the Cheeseburger with fries, the Hus likes the Double Double Animal Style with Animal Style fries which he swears by as the absolute BEST. I also enjoy their shakes which are thick & creamy.
The best part about this place, actually all In & Outs is their impeccable service and cleanliness which is hard to find at a lot of drive ins. They really do go the extra mile, which is what gives them 4 stars instead of 3 from me.
Only thing I would change is the fries....they need a little more meat on them. Shoestring fries just don't cut it for me. If they offered different options for fries it would be a home run, but until then I will save my 5th star for other burger joints! -

The sweetest girl ever took my order and gave me a tip on my secret menu ordering.
They offer............CHILIES!
Am I seriously the last one on the planet that knew about this option?
So if this is your millionth time hearing this I'm sorry but it's news to me!

I don't recommend buying this for a so called friend late at night because she may not be your friend in the morning and start Yelp Threads about you...
Other than that the Double double was good... comin' off stomach bug, it tasted grand!

Review from Nam N.
Grabbed some lunch with my sis and neices here today.
Standard quality In-N-Out food----burgers were good though the tomatoes were poor quality. Totally "mealy".
However, due to the location---this place is SOOO congested! The drive-thru is really unorganized with two areas to "enter". This causes total back up with cars because customers don't seem to understand basic driving etiquette. C'mon folks---a little courtesy goes a long way!
The same situation occurs inside as well with customers mobbing the cashiers. I know it sounds over the top, but maybe they need to install stanchions so ppl know how to form lines.
It's good that I don't eat In-N-Out very often so I don't have to deal with this hot mess!Listed in: My New 'Hood!

I've been an In-N-Out fan for around 15 years ever since a colleague in Peoria, Il told me about taking his family there and being really impressed.
This store is in kind of a seedy area but they do a good job of keeping the riff raff out of the bathrooms and keeping the place clean.
Animal style is definitely the way to go with the burgers but it really drives the price up for an order of fries and makes them into a mess. -

I was in San Diego for the first time back in June, and I insisted that my friends and I visit In-N-Out Burger. They are all native Californians, so were kind of "meh" about it, but kind enough to indulge me. They also schooled me on how to order my burger (animal style, duh).
I was so excited that I took a picture of myself outside below the sign, and a picture of my food. I was hyped. You couldn't tell me nothin.
Then I took a bite of my burger. And everyone looked at me expectantly. After all, it was all I chattered about for days. I made them drive me. So I chewed, smiled, and said "mmmmmm!"
Truth be told, it was just another fast food burger. I guess I expecting burger crack? I don't eat fast foot often, so I was expecting to see heaven, I think. Three stars because In-N-Out is not bad fast food, my expectations were just way too high. -

==In and Out Burger==
Let's be realistic here and get away from overrated reviews. The burgers here are OK. They are not the best, but to each their own opinion. There are tons of better burger joints out there but I'm pretty sure most are just coming here because it's so cheap for a burger-because I come here for the price too when I'm low on cash :) It's just a burger with dressing slapped on it with onions, lettuce and tomatoes. However, the burger does have it's own taste and the fries are okay. They are freshly cut and lightly salted but it's nothing to rave about. Patties are small, hence why you can double double it and or animal style it. Think outside the box and explore other burger possibilities. There are about four other joints you need to check out in the San Diego area and you'll change your mind about In and Out burgers -
Review from Ramona P.
The best fast food burger ever. There is nothing else like In and Out. The first time I heard of it? In a movie, "The Big Lobowsky". The first time I had it? 2007 when I moved to California. They are a star above Culver's of the midwest, and 2 to 3 above anything else out there.
Shakes are great, service is cream of the crop! -
Review from Josh d.
I love In-N-Out... They have my favorite burger of all the burgers I've had... Originally being from southern California, I may be biased about it, but Double-Doubles are so amazing... And I eat a lot of burgers in a lot of places.
The sweetness of the sauce compliments the saltiness of the patties, contrasts the mildness of the cheese, compliments the crispness of the lettuce/tomato, contrasts the chewiness of the buns...
The fries are great too. Not overly crisp, not soggy, lightly salted, fried in vegetable oil, and cut to order.
They just stick to what they know and what the do well. Not over complicating the menus and keeping it simple. (even the "secret menu")
(Yup... Im copy/pasting all my reviews for In-N-Out... I've yet to have a negative experience at one...) -
Review from Adam S.
San Diego, CA
So slow; been there a million times and even when the business is dead (i.e., hardly anyone in the restaurant) the drive-thru is still so slow. I've been to many other In N Outs and this is the slowest for sure. It's not like they have a complicated menu to deal with. And once you enter the queue there is no escape. I've had to wait more than 15 min before (timed it). Could've cooked a burger at home for the time it took.
But that's not entirely why this one gets 2 stars. Several times, the to-go order in the drive-thru came out sloppy. Tonight's experience has motivated me to finally write a review. Thurs night, business relatively dead, 10-15 min in the drive-thru... ugh... typical. Got my meal, placed it carefully in my backpack as I've done a hundred times before. Got home opened the bag and half the burger was wet-side-down on the bottom of the bag, soaking the paper. It looked dangerously deliberate. Being fiercely hungry, I put the thing back together and began to eat. Half-way through I noticed that, actually, the bag ripped and half the burger was in contact with the bottom of my bag. Nasty, and not only that, I know I've spilled laundry detergent in there...
I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because it is, in fact, an In N Out which is generally pretty tasty. But that is all this place has going for it....
+400 stars -

* Gluten free / Celiac Review*
I love In and Out! It is one of the only places I can safely eat fries because they only cook fries in the fryers. Their burgers are awesome too.
If you are gluten free just order the burger protein style, and be sure to tell them that you have an "allergy" to wheat....they will put that on your order and it is prepared safely for you. It is also served in a separated tray. I'm very sensitive, and haven't gotten sick here. All the employees have been knowledgeable and friendly. I've heard mixed reviews about if grilled onions are GF, but I don't eat them anyway, Ask a manager if you have any questions. -

In-N-Out is a must go whenever I visit the west coast.
Decor: 4/5
-This location is insanely packed and busy
-Reasonably clean seeing how busy it gets during lunch
Service: 4/5
-friendly and polite
Food: 4/5
-Double double and fries, both animal style! The double animal style was a bit too much for me. So much mayo slowing down my systemic blood flow.
-I forgot to ask for well done fries! They were soggy. That was my fault.
Be ready to be in a food coma afterwards.
