The best west coast hamburger ever. If you have not heard of them.....where have you been all your life. Try a Double, Double, animal style/ protein. That equals a double meat/double cheese with fried onions and wrapped in lettuce.

Can't go wrong with an In n Out. You know what you are going to get and you know you are going to get it quickly. They have such an intriguing system going on behind the register, it's crazy. The way everyone moves to pump out burgers and fries without getting in each others way or cheating the traditional recipe, they are just on point. My go to is the cheeseburger with grilled onions, fries and a strawberry shake if I'm feeling a little edgy. I like that they embrace their secret menu as well and have no problem creating a protein style burger or neopolitan shake on the spot.
My only con is that the drive through line is usually pretty ridiculous when you are starving, but if you can deal with it, be patient and they will crank you through, otherwise, I usually go inside to avoid being overly stressed with the line.Listed in: Quick & Easy

Had to try my fries "animal style" for the first time after much prompting from friends & fellow yelpsters..... Holey Moley, sweet Mama! That is some crazy goodness!! One can simply not beat the In-N-Out experience... No one.

Who doesn't love in-n-out? It's always packed and there is always a line in the drive-thru. The burgers here are simple, yet so good...and it's cheap too! Does it get any better than that?

I got sick eating here today. I ordered an animal style double-double. When I took a bite the secret sauce tasted saltier than normal but I was hungry so I ate it anyways. Six hours later after stomach pain I threw up. I've had food from this location before and had no digestive problems but this time it was bad.

Sorry but my experience here was NOT GOOD. The burger was good, but the fries tasted old and my shake was warm. I like Carls Jr. much better. I have just not been that impressed with In-N-Out. I think it's kind of a McDonald's rip off.

I'd give this place a 4 1/2 if I could. I'll take In-N-Out over 5 Guys too. You need burger joints that specialize. That's the problem with places like McDonald's and Burger King, they're trying to serve everything they can think if instead of sticking to their roots. Burgers, fries, shakes, that's what you're here for, and that's what you'll get. I just wish this place was on Garnet in the main part of PB. It's really in an odd location.

My recommendation: Double double, spread only
In-n-out is a nice, simple fast food burger. A double-double, spread only is as simple as a filling burger gets, just tasty, juicy burger patty, cheese, and In-n-out's signature spread.
This location is usually pretty full of people at all hours, ESPECIALLY THE DRIVE THROUGH! Usually it is faster to just order inside and take it away. -

In 'n out is great. It's not the best burger i've ever had, but for the price it's pretty hard to beat. This location is the typical quality you expect from the chain. Great for some eats before or after going out in PB.

Theres no such place where they make awesome burgers like in & out. There is no In & Out in the east coast so if your visiting, these burgers are a must eat.
The menu is simple and strait to the point. When ordering a Double double make sure to order it animal style. Its not in the menu but they know what it means. Animal style is grilled onions on the burger.
I loved these burgers, I give it a five star since I always leaves content. -

In-N-Out just doesn't have the same hype for me like before. I feel like the fries aren't as crispy as they should be and that the burgers aren't really anything to write home about.

After spending 5 weeks in France and eating delicious food, the one thing that country lacked was the ability to make a good burger. Coming back from SAN the first place I hit after landing on California soil was this In N Out. A number 2 please, spread only, crisp fresh fries and a pink lemonade.
This place hits the spot every time, the service is super friendly and there's a guy there that pounds out burgers like a machine!
The inside is really air conditioned so bring a sweatshirt.
Also avoid the drive thru if you can, that line is redonkulous!
They also only take Visa or Mastercard, just a heads up for all you AMEX and Discover users! -

From a culinary perspective, there isn't much to say. It's a fast food burger joint with a limited menu -- burgers, fries, milk shakes, and soda. Your basic carbs, calories, fat, and sugar, with a few veggies thrown in for good measure. This particular location is odd in the sense that it's wedged in the corner of a small lot and as such, has a very limited number of parking stalls -- 30 tops. It you stop by during prime time, or are are door ding adverse, don't count on being able to park.
If you do manage to find a parking stall, don't count on being "in and out." I can only conclude that due to the parking situation and generally cramped quarters, they prioritize their drive-thru service in order to keep the automobile traffic flowing. I waited 5 minutes for a single cheeseburger when ordering at the counter.
I deducted two stars for the poor location and slow service. -

This location has a manager who is on top of things and does a great job.
The food is served quickly and they are always "buzzing" in the cooking area.
Very polite, clean-cut employees and great burgers.
As for "animal style". The fries at all InNOut's need to be thicker but other than that, it's great.
I always wondered why they don't serve salads since they carry all of the ingredients. -

Utterly impressed. That is how I felt after leaving this In-N-Out today.
Let's start by stating a few "facts" here (aka, what I believe to be the general opinion). First, In-N-Out is consistently one of the best fast-food burger restaurants around. Secondly, this location is incredibly popular and usually has quite a line for the drive-thru. Lastly, most of the time when you have a large order, it's easy for it to (1) not get fulfilled correctly and/or (2) take an incredible amount of time to get filled.
Today, I wasn't looking forward to going to In-N-Out. Normally I love going, but today I was ordering food to-go for 10 people. I had a list of burgers to order, and that list was complicated. I nearly gave myself a headache trying to decipher the best way to order without confusing myself or the cashier.
When I got to In-N-Out there was a long line in the drive-thru, so I decided to go inside to order. As I walked toward the door, I whispered to my sister "We're going to be here a looong time." Well, I'm proud to say that thanks to the incredible employees at this location - we were "In-N-Out" (see what I did there ;-) with our complicated 10 burgers and a plethora of french fries within 10 minutes.
I still don't quite know what happened. All I know is that there was no line inside, and when I walked up to the smiling girl behind the counter and announced that I had a complicated order, she took it on like a champ. I wish I had gotten her name, because she made my day. She took the order correctly the first time and made sure that we got our food right away. Not only was the order filled in record time, but it was filled correctly! It's not often that I walk out of a restaurant stunned (in a good way) and itching to go home and Yelp! about it!
Thank you In-N-Out employees for making my day!
P.S. The food was delicious! We'll be going back there again soon! -

Had a craving for a burger that wouldn't break my bank and the closest In-N-Out was this PB location. I came at a great time as the place was full but there was no line and plenty of parking available. After we placed our order, we quickly found seats and waited patiently for our number to be called. The #2 meal I ordered and the Double-Double with animal style fries my friend ordered were cooked perfectly!!! Nothing amiss at all during that night. Thank you!
I like this location because it's right off the 5-freeway, the service is friendly and loud (in a good way). The quality is good and yes the crowds are there and can be very annoying. Somehow i managed to avoid them this nigh, woo woo!!! It also helps that there were two police officers present keeping the peace while also enjoying their In-N-Out dinner. :) -

A SoCal (well, they've migrated a bit now, Nevada, Arizona, and recently, Texas & Utah) Classic. Really, you'll be hard pressed to find a better fast food burger.
If ya don't know, now ya know.
There is a "Secret" menu - not really that much of a secret, but they don't list on their menu that you can order other things. For instance "Animal Style" burger or "Cheese Fries" or that they have a root beer float.
A Blogger who calls himself John Marcotte (probably his real name!) has created a pretty awesome listing of the "Secret menu" replete with photos.!

My first experience with In-N-Out Burger, and it was gooooooood. I dig the whole oldschool vibe of the place, with the employees wearing the little paper hats, and the burgers coming in little bags and whatnot. We had 3 people in the car, and we really should have each ordered individually rather than having the driver (me) try to get across the whole thing. One of us wanted no onions, the other wanted no sauce, and I'm sure we confused the poor guy taking our order. Fortunately, when we got to the window and got our food, it was all correct! I was shocked.
The food is great, the service is fantastic, now if only there was a bigger parking lot. -

This is a review for all In n Out Burgers, I just happen to be posting here since it is the one I frequent the most. This burger cant be beaten in this category, that is a cheap, quick burger. Everything is pretty much perfect, and it is a perfect balance between hot meat and cold veggies, soft bun and crunchy produce. The consistency is really remarkable, and this is the reason we all can name at least 10 locations in our mind where we might pop in if we were in the area. My order is a 3 x 3, animal style, with mustard...fries and an Arnie Palmer. I will not say it is my favorite burger in the world, but this has got to be on a list in any given market.

Overall In-N-Out gets 5 stars. This location is a 4-star since it's a little smaller than other stores and maybe not as convenient.
Simple menu featuring the best California fast food burger and a still inexpensive price. An always consistent and fresh product. Nothing to add that other + reviews haven't already said.

I asked a foreign girl at my office if she wanted some "In-N-Out" the other day and she totally misinterpreted what I was offering. I guess I shouldn't have been making suggestive hand motions as well, but HR really needs to get off my back.
Sexual harassment meetings aside, I find the double double here to be agreeable and I enjoy the lemonade with a spritz of 7-Up and I find this location to be easily accessible without having to enter too far into the douche factory known as PB. -

Of all the In-N-Out locations I have been to, this is my favorite. Fast service, great burgers, real fries and the best shakes around are all the hallmarks of the chain.
The only negative is that lots of really nerdy and annoying UCSD dorks hang out here at night during the school year, but I won't hold that against the restaurant itself. Best time to visit is summer when the UCSD trolls have all crawled back under their rocks. -

If I were a homeless person, I believe I'd only use my meager earnings from recycling bottles at In-N-Out.
I mean, the price for the quality and delicious-ness of the food that you get is just UNBELIEVABLE! For a place that sells nom-nom-nom filled burgers that cost less than $2, I don't understand why this place isn't a homeless-people haven!!
I typically get Combo#1 with extra grilled onions and a special sauce packet on the side. Ahhhhhhh!! (My mouth just salivated). And on days when I'm feeling like EXTRA fatty, I also order animal styled fries and a chocolate shake! *DROOOLLLLLLLLL again*
No but seriously, I just had another epiphany for why this place is where all homeless peeps should be at.... If they eat In-N-Out for every single meal, I'm sure they'd accumulate enough fat to serve as insulation for cold weather!! Woohoo!!
In-N-Out not only provides delicious burgers and fries, but also ameliorates poverty! :) -

Absolutely the best bargain for a quality burger that will always deliver consistent satisfaction. I haven't had a bad burger from in-n-out ever. I would recommend the animal fries to share with a friend on top of you're order. The shakes are delicious also, just a bit small on the portion size.

The simplicity is what makes In-N-Out.
Unless you're from the midwest or further East (and for some reason are reading my review instead of the countless other BETTER ones), I don't have to tell you that the burgers are a great value.
This location is a bit killer. This is the closest one to UCSD so you get quite the frequent rushes both inside and the drive-thru. Bummer.
Since I'm leaving San Diego and won't be subjected to the flood, there's another location by Kearney Mesa off the 163! It's a lot emptier and not that much further away! -

If you ask people what the best burger place is in San Diego they're probably going to tell you Hodad's or Rocky's... and because I consider myself at least a Foodie-in-training, I wouldn't dare say "In-N-Out".
However, I put In-N-Out in its own category because when you're in the mood for In-N-Out, nothing else can really satisfy you. I know I sound like a drug addict but I am seriously in love with every aspect of this establishment. From the secret and simple menu to the shiny red tables and strawberry lemonade... everything here is just perfect. -

I gotta be honest. I spent five years in the Washington, DC area and was introduced to Five Guys, which is hands-down the best burger joint ever. After all my West Coast friends said "No way, In-N-Out is way better!", I had to try them the next time I was in California. I tried them and.... eh.
Not going to bother reviewing the service, ambiance, or parking - it's a fast food joint. Instead, I'll focus on the food, which was... mediocre. The burger was juicy and tasty, but it doesn't reach the level of being able to add all kinds of toppings, like grilled onions or mushrooms, that can really add to a burger. And the fries? Yeesh. Some people may said "animal style" or whatever is best, but the fries plain or with ketchup? Tasted like cardboard. Just... they weren't bad, but they weren't good, either.
Now that I've committed sacrilege to the West Coasters, I'll sum up with this: I'll buy you a Five Guys burger and fries anytime. Just stop talking about how great In-N-Out is. -

The best fast-food place, hands down!
At In-N-Out Burger, everything's always good, and it has a great California atmosphere. It's pretty cool that In-N-Out has a "Secret Menu"-I've never seen such a thing in the frozen tundra that is Denver. :) Nothing to say about the location- sometimes you have to pick a random location and review it.
The Verdict: Probably the best fast-food place in America. -

How about DOUBLE DOUBLE ANIMAL STYLE!
Who in their right mind would ask for one patty and no special sauce on a burger? NOT ME! 2 patties, 2 cheese, smothered in lettuce, tomatoes, special sauce and goodness that even a fast food places are jealous of.
COME ON NOW! Can we say, fat laden pre-made patty goodness? Say that 3 times fast!
The fries were ok, the shakes were fine but really, who goes to in and out 4 times on a trip that was only 10 days long? I will give you a hint, you are reading his review RIGHT now.
Check the picture, what can you say about that? NOTHING!
Go get some good stuff....I just wish there was one here....Oh wait, maybe not....I am supposed to be watching my figure! ha ha! -

Maybe not the best burger EVER, but definitely best fast food burger ever. I also love the fries - so fresh and not ever hard and tasteless! I love having my burger animal style too, although then it tends to get even messier...
