Review from Morgan H.
Best hamburger joint in the country, need I say more? It is not by coincidence that these places are packed out every day. Always clean, always friendly service and most important - always great food.
People crave it and when they can't get back to an In-N-Out location, they live it through their friends or family. The food is fresh, the shakes are awesome, the fries are excellent. You cant go wrong and In-N-Out has spoken for itself for years now! -

In and Out makes consistent good burgers, but they also make very good milkshakes.
I arrive after lunch and before dinner, so it was not as busy as it usually is. I order their cheeseburger with no sauce and a vanilla milkshake. The burger was good for a fast food joint, but the prize for me was the creamy thick vanilla shake. (http://www.yelp.com/bi...) I love it when you get a milkshake, and the straw stands up in the center of the shake, do to the thickness of the shake. That's when I know I am getting a good shake. The shake also had great vanilla flavor. I sucked down the shake before I even had a bite of my cheeseburger. I think I am addicted.
The service was very good and the food came out at a good pace. The place was nice and clean. -

This place is awesome! We live down the street so we eat here at least once a week. The burgers are always made fresh as are the fries. I like to get mine animal style and I just found out you can add peppers to your burger! Their menu is simple and their prices are very, very reasonable for the quality of food you are served.
The only drawback to this particular location is that it's located in a very busy strip mall so getting in and out of the parking lot is a HUGE hassle and the line for the drive-thru gets caught up in the line to get in and out of the strip mall creating a traffic jam. If you come here, come with patience because the drive-thru line and the line inside the restaurant are always long! -

In-N-Out Burger is quickly rising on my list of top fast food burger joints. Their burgers are always hot, fresh and tasty. Three of my favorite descriptions of a good burger. The fixings are crisp and fresh as well. Their fries are aiiight, their shakes are thicker than a snicker and the price for a meal isn't bad. The service can be a toss up. I've gone thru the drive-thru and realized my order was incorrect and had to go back on more than one occasion; however, I still go there...so what does that tell you?

My favorite burger place/fast food joint/etc. The freshness, great service, fantastic pricing, and delicious taste sets this place apart from anywhere else. No wonder the line is always so long, but it goes by quickly so no worries.
I always get a cheeseburger with fries (~$5 meal, can't beat that!) Comes out hot and fresh every single time. My boyfriend even knows that when I'm grumpy and hungry, my alter b*tchy ego will disappear once I take a bit of this orgasmic food. Screw McDonalds, In-n-Out puts a smile on for me :).
Want to know a delicious dipping sauce for the fries? Ask for extra spread, then mix 1/2 cup of ketchup with 1/2 of spread, stir it together and indulge in an aaamazing flavor combo..
Another great thing is that In-N-Out will readily customize any burgers without giving you any "WTF" faces. Vegetarian? You can ask for no meat. On a diet? Ask for lo-carb (no buns). Like crispy fries or buns? Ask for well-done... so good, need to try at least once. Of course you can also animal style any time, which is adding the spread, onion, & cheese. (fries cost extra though). The famous "in-n-out" spread/sauce taste similar to thousand island, mixed with onions and few "secret" ingredients.
Only problem is that I will usually come here once a month.. then end up having to run like 3123097341 miles the next day to burn off all those delicious calories.. Oh In-N-Out will always be my love-hate relationship. -

Pretty good food. I prefer this over Five Guys anyday. I'm not going to reiterate what the others have already said. Just stop by and see for yourself.
Be careful trying to park though. The parking layout is that bad!Listed in: Fast Food, Got Beef With Me?, My Next Door Neighbor of Lemon…

Tiny, tiny location tucked into the outskirts of Lemon Grove. It was so small that I missed it the first time I drove by the location approaching it from the north on Massachusetts Ave. Service was quick, though I didn't order anything beyond a double meat burger. When I took it home, I found that it was partly not grilled all the way through. It was okay. Not the best burger I've had from the place.
The burger certainly didn't mix well with the root beer float I had with lunch, I'll tell ya that. -

Outstanding and there's nothing like a "In-n-Out" burger with fries and a shake to go, so go and get some.

The fires left a little something to be desired. they were kinda soggy, and im not into soggy fries. However, the burger was fantastic and one of the best ive had. Im down here on vacation and i imagine it wont be the last time i eat here.
having said that, five guys still sits on the throne of burgers. -

OMG!!!
Waited forever in the rain only to find out that the infamous Animal Fries everyone talks to me about, had a LONG A$$ curly hair right on top of them, DISGUSTING!! ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!!! The hair was so long and curly that it was impossible not for a server to notice. I will never be coming back here to order food. YUCK!!! NIGHTMARES AWAIT ME!! -

3x3 with chopped peppers, raw onions and fries on the side. This is a Beast that not just any Beauty can tame. And you can only get it at in 'n out. Sorry east coasters, guess you're just out. But say you're not in the mood for something so flavor blasting. A recent alternative I've been having is the Double Double with ketchup instead of their signature sauce. BLASPHEMY! No way, says Jose. Try it and you'll see. It's a clean tasting non overwhelming burger.
pros:
super tasty
need to recover from drunken balloon fights at the park? Don't worry, their open late
having friends who work here is a personal benefit
cons:
gets crowded sometimes, but what in 'n out doesn't? -
Review from Sophia Y.
The only fast food place that I can keep coming back to.
Why pay for dry overpriced burgers when you can get a fresh one for only about $3. Make it a meal and its just over $5.
I usually get a cheeseburger (or double double if i'm really hungry) with GRILLED onions and fries and their pink lemonade mixed with whatever their lemon soda is for a little bit of a fizz. I don't know why but I think the lemonade is soo good. I can't get any other soda when I'm there.
Splurge for the cheese. It makes it soo much better.
As for their special sauce or whatever it is, I usually don't like any dressing (sometimes I eat salads plain) but it somehow makes the sandwich.
And the fries are good with lots of pepper since they are not seasoned but it doesn't taste greasy and oversalted like some other fast food restaurant.
I've never not enjoyed my meal whenever I come here. The only downside is that it's pretty small, but somehow, I always find a seat :) -

Food is amazing! Best fast food joint around, hands down! It's weird, I'm a crazy chocolate fan, but their strawberry shakes kick so much ass :)
Staff is really friendly, but sometimes the wait is ridiculous. And it really annoys me when they have an employee set up outside who walks from car to car taking orders... can you just stand in one place? Because the further you walk back, the further the line goes back, and voila! The end of the line is blocking the exit from the drive thru and no one can move anywhere. Just stand in one place please. We're in cars, we can drive forward. Also, parking here BLOWSSSSSS. All of the parking spaces are next to the drive thru, so it takes a million years to get out if you parked.
But bottom line, it's worth all of the annoyances of getting there. If I only had a week to live, one of those last meals would be a grilled cheese, French fries, and strawberry shake from In n Out.Listed in: French Fries!!!

After all these years of wanting to try a famous In-N-Out burger, I was finally able to, what a disappointment! Not sure if it was just this location or what, but considering all the praise & compliments I hear about this place as a whole, I expected more. My burger was made fresh but tasted a shred better than Steak & Shake (not a compliment). The fries were forgettable, which is strange since I heard they were the best of any fast food place. Thankfully the price was right & the meal didn't cost $12 like Five Guys, so it wasn't a complete waste. Maybe my expectations were too high, but when the price is the best part, something ain't right

You can't go wrong with In-N-Out. They stay open until like 2 am for those stoners who get the munchies haha jk. But seriously their food is reasonably priced and it is fresh. Not to mention that they are a Christian company. I will forever be a customer at In-N-Out.

Excellent food that is fresh and delicious! In-N-Out stands head and shoulders above most all the other 'fast food' restaurants.

When you don't live on the west coast, sitting in your office, this is a burger that you sometimes think about...and then when you go, it is always on your must-do list. Menu is short and easy...Just say double double animal style with fries and you will leave happy every time. You can taste the difference in the quality and though you don't need it, that thousand island sauce is damn good. Dang, I miss it.

I'm yelping about gluten-free here, since plenty of folks have reviewed the food. This is the only fast food joint where I totally trust that the fries will be gluten-free since there is nothing but raw, fresh-cut potatoes that ever goes into the fryers.
Order your burger protein style and it comes in a lettuce wrap with no bun. You can even ask them to wipe down the counter and be careful about crumbs and they will pay attention, unlike many other fast food places.
The big problem with In-N-Out is the lines. This particular restaurant often has a 15-20 minute wait at meal times, which is not "fast" to my way of thinking. Most times I look at the line and don't bother to stop. -

In-N-Out. What really needs to be said? A++
The "sides of spread" have recently been packaged in these oversize sauce packets. Much easier to handle however impossible to dip fries in.. So maybe just A+Listed in: Sandy Eggo, In-N-Out

It's In-N-Out burger! Enough said. People who claim to not like In-N-Out burger are like people who claim they don't like the Beatles; freaks who should be shunned from society!
If you've never been to In-N-Out burger (I'm speaking to you non-CA residents), you owe yourself a trip to Southern California. Enjoy!
Post Script,
If you're planning on going to the one in Lemon Grove, don't even bother with the In-N-Out parking lot. It's ridiculous. Try the lot for Blockbuster instead and walk 50ft. -

In N Out is a fast food pleasure pit. I could bathe in the spread, while rolling in a bed of hot, salty fries, then chowing down on a double double animal style. I would clean myself up by showering in the cold strawberry milkshakes!
The one in Lemon Grove is usually jammed especially the drive through, but going inside you're food comes relatively fast. Not to mention you can tell the time difference from other fast food places makes a difference. Th quality of the food is amazing.
There is a little secret menu of course: animal style, grilled cheese, and Neapolitan shake!
Wish I could eat it 5 times a week! -
Review from Amy S.
Favorite establishment within a short walking distance of my house! Not to give away any specific locations, but lets just say on summer afternoons, I can smell this place wafting into my window, which then takes me on a short walk down the street to indulge.
I remember after water polo practices this was the first place on my list to eat for dinner. # 3 animal style with a chocolate shake. Absolute heaven!!!!
It's pretty cool to have the hook-ups here when no matter what time of day I go, one of my friends is working. Extra animal sauce? Ohhhhh yeah.
However, the downside to this is that it doesn't open untill 10 or 11 AM, which can be a damper on your day, especially if you're craving some of this yummy food. But, it does stay open pretty late which makes it an ideal location to conclude the night with your friends by spending less than five bucks for a mass amount of food.Listed in: It Was Love, Show Stoppers

This was my second time to In-N-Out I have to say ... this one was WAY better than the time before. I am now a fan.
I ordered a double-double cheese burger with jalapenos and a side fries. I asked for no salt, and they actually did it right. Whereas, most places dont. They were nice and crispy not too soggy. My buger was big and juciy and flavorable. Nom nom nom.
I will go back, not just because its literally around the block from me, but because I was satisfied. -

Consistently good stuff. I try pretty hard to not get anything animal style, especially the fries but its so damn tempting !
Right off the freeway in shitty old Lemon Grove in a busy strip mall that also has a used car lot.The parking setup is about as bad as the one in Kearny Mesa so be careful!
My boy Oscar works here and he still isnt sick of the food. To me that says alot. Unless they're giving him free food all of the time, then that just tells me that hes broke. -

I was just there earlier today. The store is super clean, the busy workers are all well groomed and clean cut, and are always precise on their orders. The food is fast as freshly made can be. No carl's jr or jack in the box can match that.
My only wish is that the menu had more size options when it came to fries and like mentioned before on many other reviews the drive thru is not fit for such a busy store. -

Being a SoCal native that grew up within a short distance of the original location, I've been eating In-N-Out food since sometime shortly after I grew teeth (and perhaps a bit before).
This one is my current closest one and is the best of the newer-style building locations that I've been to. Unlike the Mission Valley location, the quality here is top-notch, like I remember from the original location, or the other nearby locations in my childhood stomping ground. The ingredients are the same at every one, but I swear they make the food with more love at this one. Everything always comes out perfect every time...
Oh how I love you, Lemon Grove In-N-Out. -

It's In-N-Out. It's what a burger is all about.
This In-N-Out is the closest one to my home. Good food, fast service if you go inside. However, the parking lot is tiny and the location makes for interesting drive through maneuvering. -

Okay, how can you NOT be a fan of In-N-Out cheeseburgers? If you're gonna go fast food for a cheeseburger, In-N-Out gets ya in and gets ya out with yumtastic food either at hand or already in your belly.
In-N-Out is a chain... so but this location is my favorite one. You wont be able to find an In-N-Out anywhere that doesn't have a line... impossible. But it's well worth the wait! They are the speediest drive-thrus out of all of the ones I've been to. They are always friendly. And they don't judge me when i ask for hella ketchup. My only reservation about this place is that the parking is a little complicated since there's always a line, it's hard to get out most of the time.
Can I get a number 2 with onion but no lettuce, the fries animal style, and a rootbeer float?

Super friendly service, amazing spread to dip your fries in, but the drive through is just sad. The line is wrapped around the building.
Now seeing as they only make two things.... hamburgers and fries, why does it really take that long? -
