Let me first clarify that these reviews should be clearly split up according to whether you are consigning clothes vs. purchasing them.  I am not surprised that people have not had a great time consigning - I have yet to come across any consignment store that provides good service in that way.

BUT if you are just purchasing clothes, I love this store (the Commercial Drive location) because they tend to have quality, name brand items in a good range of prices.  I've now gotten a few pairs of jeans and various shirts that last me way longer than if I'd spent half the amount on something at Value Village.

Plus I like the size of the space, and the fact that it's easy to use the changing rooms.  The service is also very friendly.

A bright and airy studio! I consigned my clothes here and the rules I was given..

1st time customer around 10 pcs to start an account. They take clothes, shoes, accessories and jewelry. Consignment is from 11-3 Monday to Friday if I remember correctly. Then they call you to give you your account.

For shopping I liked their shoe assortment and they had a couple nice sunglasses.

This is the sister store to the IN AGAIN in Kits.
It's easy to forget that this is a consignment store when you see such good quality used merchandise. Cute tops, pants and belts for men and women. (and anyone blurring the two.)

It was my idea to just "stop in and take a peek" and didn't I get the [man sigh] too, but once inside guess who found an adorable pair of sneakers ?? why the man himself! yay! :-)

I have not had  a positive experience here because I have been waiting for my list for over a month now. Now that I have seen some of the reviews here. I have decided to ask for my things back and to go to Front & Company where I consistently have good and fast service. I've tried contacting the store owner but have not had any luck yet which is why I am posting this.

I've been cosigned with In Again for 3 generations of  owners.  The current new owner comes across very friendly.  First I felt great to continue cosign with him. But lately I felt really cheated.

I brought many items more than a year ago to him.  I also shop there some times.  I see lots of my items on display ~ some of them very very new and name brand.  I know how it works - we come twice a year to pick up a check for sold items.  So I picked up 2 very small amount cheques in a year.

Things just didn't add up for me anymore.  There is no more cheque because they told me there are not item sold. After all this time.  I finally  contacted him if he can he show me a list of the item that were sold. I would like to have some of the new items back.  First he told me that I missed the cheque pick up period.  There must be a cheque waiting for me in the back of his office. Then he told me he needed some time to get the list.  Then later him kind of hinted he has donated the unsold items.

Really, he donated new evening gowns, new leather thigh high boots, new Prada purse, new DKMNY runner, new Tommy Hilfinger falts, new wedge heels.... the list go on and on.  I don't buy it.

My advise, make sure you get a list of item from this man always.  Ask for the item back if you don't want  them donated.

20 years dealing with few good consignment stores. This on ~ In Again. Not a very honest business owner.  Just my personal opinion.

So after months of trying to follow up and get answers or just pick up my clothes ( I dropped my clothed off last fall) I am told Again, that even though they once found my clothes, they may have been sent to the commercial drive store, but there is nothing they can do. They just can't find them, so NO payment to me.

I am now confident that I have been ripped off. Aritzia, Holts etc, bags of clothes all gone missing. Beware. And Dmitri, what goes around comes around. He seemed so nice at first, I was wrong to trust him.

I am sticking  with Front and Co and the place on west 10th, where it's never been a problem. Lesson learned.

Funny a couple of reviews like mine have gone missing.

I have been to both stores - Commercial Dr. and Kitsilano.  I am a consignor here and have been for the past 5 years.  First of all, I took a moment to read some of the reviews and I would have to disagree with the "angry yelpers" that having nothing better to do then complain when something doesn't go their way.....Vancouver seems to be full of these types.
I found the service here to be excellent.  Lou and Dimitri (I think managers at each store) are always friendly and very upfront with my things.  if they think it won't sell they simply won't accept it.  That's what makes their store look so great.  They don't have ridiculous strict rules like all the other consignment stores in the city and they are not snobby either.  They have always treated me and my items with respect.  I get a cheque 4 times a year....what more can you ask for from a bunch of clothes you've worn and have no use for in your closet anymore.
Don't be SO PICKY people......it's your used clothes we're talking about!  Let go and move on.

    cheers and happy shopping everyone!

I would concur with a the recent reviews of this place.  My partner only got pennies on the dollar for the stuff we dropped off.  Their consignment system seems fishy to me and the consigners end up fronting this Dimitri guy with inventory for months and never get a listing of what was sold or given away. Haven't read the contract, but IMO as soon as you drop the stuff off, you lose control of YOUR  belongings.  Why not start with good Karma and simply donate your stuff, that way you know it is going to a good cause.

They have some really cute things, however, I think the prices of some of the items are a bit much, especially for second hand.   But it's definitely worth a look for some cute purses and shoes, and maybe even some dresses!

I consigned here recently. I mean at least I got my money but I don't really like how their system works.  I consigned some of my own clothes and some of a friends clothes since he didn't want them anymore. The thing is when you sign the contract it says they can give the clothes to charity. The only thing is it would be nice for them to wait until your contract is over  then give it away to see what's left behind if not all your items sold. I went there to pick up my cheque and it was there but then I only got 2 items back, so I was like "Where's all my other clothes that didn't sell?" Then they said they did a few charity runs and I asked for a printout of what sold but they couldn't print it out for me on the computer so the sales person just wrote it down. I've consigned at a store in New West and they give out a slip of items you bring in, they also give you a record (Your own copy of each and every item sold, price and detail to even when it goes on clearance), also they take your stuff off the floor and keep them all together when you come to pick up your cheque and ask you first if you want to keep the items or just give them away if they didn't sell, just much more organized compared to this. At Inn Again you have to sort through all the clothes to find the items that didn't sell. I only found 2 mind you the rest was given away. So if I consign here again it'll probably be with clothes that I don't really care that much about.
