Never come here on a weekend. Ever. Come on a weekday evening to avoid crowdedness and upset babies

Unlike other Yelpers, I really enjoy the food court. The pasta is good and even tastier with meatballs, but the garlic bread, cinnamon buns and things that sit outside are usually stale :/ However, the price of the food totally changes everything; 3.66 for homey comfort food under food court price? There's no way I can write a bad review when it's that cheap. Also, the carrot muffins are addictively bad and become really delicious as I browse the furniture. Fun place and you can find all sorts of little doodads for your house

Hot dogs are now 75 cents. Seriously, is there any reason any more to get out of bed?

Ikea seems to have changed the vended cinnamon buns. The ones available in the caf are smaller, no icing sugar, and have strange little flakes. You can still buy the 6 packs with the icing sugar. Not sure about the change.

4 Star for IKEA retail sections

    - I just love browsing around IKEA, always give me new ideas
    - love to sit on the comfy showroom sofas.. yes I laid on the bed occasionally too..
    - Marketplace always have affordable kitchen wares and just little things around the house that ended up buying!

    2 Star for IKEA's food

    - I know they are cheap!
$2.99 for Swedish meatballs with side
$2 for 2 hot dogs with free drink refills
$0.99 for pasta in tomato sauce
$1 for cinnamon bun with coffee
    $1 for frozen Yogurt

    - I look at the cinnamon buns and  I know I cannot eat that even if they are free
    - A lot of leftover Swedish meatballs left on people's plates that never finished as I walked around the cafe
    - I ended up having the hot dog combo which was not too bad...great for a snack!

I will stick with home decor and furniture shopping in IKEA and will have to pass on the food!

Saturdays are crazy busy at IKEA. All the families and expectant couples congregate at IKEA. The play area at the front of the store are packed.

The return lines are not busy but the staff are always slow. Seriously the major gap in the Swedish behemoth armor.

    30 sec summary
    1. Wicked chicken and ribs deal for $9.99
    2. Portions huge.
    3. Store comfortable- seats clean and open concept - bright and cheerful
    4. The store traffic

    Notes on IKEA

    -It's the Eurotrash Wal-mart.

-My boyfriend gets overstimulated and has to test all the "poang" chairs by bouncing on them. This is because he is too old to play in the ball room.

-Then we usually get into a fight.

-I recommend the open-faced shrimp and hard boiled egg sandwich with dill in the cafeteria. Order a glass of wine and pretend you live in a civilized country

-I tend to panic when I can't find the exit and feel like a rat in a maze

And I thought I was the only one who felt like a rat in a maze?!

it's nice for parents with little ones because there's a supervised play area inside and a playground outside (south west corner) for parents with little ones that need to expel some energy.

They are all clean stores and they are super thoughtful, take it from a mom with a baby..when you walk in a store and they have parking for you AT the entrance, an elevator for your stoller, a bathroom and free diapers..you appreciate them more! Walmart could learn a thing or two about this type of convenience.

IKEA is cool. Walk around in a maze with neat furniture left and right all fairly priced. I think right at the entrance before escalator, they have my dream bed. The kind where it is so big you can roll back and forth and feel like you are floating on a cloud. Yes, I know it is not possible, but I can dream.

There food smack dab in the middle of the maze, where you can pick up some cheap eats. I am usually too busy looking around and don't do this stop. It is up to you. Now here comes the worse part, the cashier! You have to pay real money for the stuff you picked up on your long trek.

When food is this cheap, I almost feel like I don't have a right to complain. I had the fish and chips for $5.99. They were average. Nothing to write grandma and rave about. But it's IKEA...for dinner. I can't expect much. The dessert though was awesome. I would go back for Almond cake any day of the week! On to the shopping.

I only walk through the whole IKEA if a) it's not busy or b) it's a date. This was both. I actually love IKEA for a date spot. It's cheap food so no one breaks the bank, it's great conversation starters as to why he would choose any bed frame over MALM and you can make fun of the furniture names and the families walking by.

We strolled along, picking out furniture we would use to stock our "soon-to-win million dollar Princess Margaret sweepstakes" homes. We mocked people that weren't going the right way along the directional path. We had deep conversations over the history of bed designations ("why call it a twin if twin means two?").  I almost forgot that I was there to shop too.

I lose my mind in two sections when I'm at IKEA Vaughan: home organization and home decoration. I will spend hours trying to determine which size bin will work for my at the moment home organzation project. This time, it was buying shoe boxes with clear windows to see what shoes are inside. IKEA also has some great paintings and photos. If I could afford to drop down $200+ on top of the usual IKEA bill, I would buy one on the spot.

I noticed that any straight-laced adult will turn 5 once they enter IKEA. Actually heard a man making a racing car noise as he turned a flat-bed cart around a corner.

The only restaurants items I order from Ikea is their meatball with mash potato; it is absolutely awesome. It is $5.99 for 15 meatballs. Although it does not include a drink but it's very filling. Very cafeteria style as it's geared toward furniture and home-buying; but if you have a chance try their meatballs. One of the best I've had. Their Mac & Cheese is not bad either.
