Ever since Capilano Sushi was rennovated and made all fancy-pants-thus-quite-awkward I've had to find a new cheap sushi spot.
Ika Sushi is it.
I have always found the staff friendly and nice (which to me is huge) and they have a decent selection of vegetarian options. Seeing tofu teriyaki is always a good sign! I don't like being charged a lot for sauteed veggies!
I ordered take out for here and it only costed about $20 for three people. Great prices!
The only downside I had was when we ate in here and well, my mushroom roll wasn't a mushroom roll but a little 'ol bbq'ed eel. Eek.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for inexpensive and quality sushi! -

Another decent sushi spot on the north shore. Maybe the ownership changed, because it was very clean, and no bugs to be seen, contrary to the earlier review. I was surprised how busy it was for 1430 on a Tuesday... It is very cheap, and surprisingly good! The rice wasn't the best, but the tuna was delicious, melt in your mouth, goodness...

Sorry, not a fan. Came in for dinner on a weeknight and there was only one other couple there. Lots of people stopped in to take out though. I'll give it to this place for being cheap. In that regard, you get what you pay for. I'd give this place 3-stars for giving you a lot of food for a low price, if it weren't for the insects that started buzzing around our table as we finished our meal. Not appetizing! If it were July, I'd understand that nature happens, but this was in December. These suckers must be living in the restaurant. No thanks.

If you want sushi...with good quality and CHEAP...then this is the place. No one speaks proper english so it's very hard to order sometimes, but they know me now and know exactly what i order and it is always amazing. if you drive by and keep saying i wonder what it's like...i'm telling you, nothing short of amazing.

A few guys from work go there regularly for lunch and love it. The sushi is good quality and the value is excellent. The lunch special is around $6.49 for 18 pieces of sushi plus you get miso soup. The seaweed salad is very tasty also.
