IK2GO stands for Italian Kitchen To Go. It means you are getting restaurant quality food for a fraction of the restaurant price. This place is conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Vancouver. This is a great Italian sandwich place for people who work in Downtown.
Whenever my company needs to order sandwiches, our first choice is always IK2GO. We order often enough to the point most of us has gone through all the list on the sandwich menu and we continue to order from them.
Their hot sandwiches are solid. You have a choice of chicken, turkey, prosciutto. Kobe meat balls, deep friend pork, and vegetarian. My favorite is the chicken because they use real chicken breasts instead of processed chicken breast hams. The chicken breasts are always moist and juicy. I once had the vegetarian and the grilled vegetables such as eggplants, zucchini, sweet onions, and Portobello mushrooms were superb.
The breads they use are fresh and very Artisan. The condiments used are of good quality. This place has been consistently solid.
We mostly order the morning of and sometimes the day before. Sometimes you can get your order delivered, sometimes not. I don't blame them as they are super busy during lunch hours from 11-2pm M-F.Listed in: Anything Italian

This is a solid lunch spot. Very good food at awesome prices. I've been coming here since shortly after it opened (why again it took so long for a review? I just never thought of it) and I must say the lines used to be pretty lengthy. I don't know if they have gone down due to improved efficiency but the food is just as good.
The Panini/salad combo is a great deal (where else can you get a sandwich and salad for $10? Crap I hope they don't jack up the prices now!) and the penne and meatballs are delicious, reasonably priced, and healthily portioned.
And if you load a payment card/gift card on a Monday, you get a great discount that you can use every day of the week.
And the ladies and gents who work here are very friendly.
To rip off John Catucci, "you gotta eat here". -

Simply with Glowbal name, you can trust the quality and the good feeling of buying high-end, for some strange reason.
It ain't cheap but better than eating inside their restos if you're on the run & want their food, great location too.
I ordered the proscuitto which was just right on the panini, any more would be too salty and $4 for a blueberry smoothie, 12 oz, wow... -

You will NOT find a better quality lunch for the price (or even for double the price) downtown. No seating though - it's only to go...

Didn't know this place existed at all, until today.. Thanks to a friend who works nearby~
This is not to be confused with the overpriced Italian Kitchen next door. Yes they're probably the same restaurant, but this one is tuned towards the yuppie lunch crowd.
Today I tried their smoked salmon pizza ($4.50). The pizza was a semicircle with a 9" diameter, which makes it slightly smaller (area) than 2 of those $2 pizza slices you can pick up around downtown. But this one was covered in smoked salmon! The crust was thin, the toppings were fresh, and the aroma is awesome. It was a bit on the greasy side, but I didn't the mind the slight decrease in life expectancy.
Just a tip, they sell gift cards as well. If you pick one up on a Monday, you get 20% off. So now the pizza is $3.50ish. You can't even do food courts for this cheap.
I will definitely be back. Recommended.Listed in: 2011 Cheap & Tasty

Best kept secret for lunch downtown. I suspect one of the reasons this restaurant hasn't been reviewed on Yelp is because regulars don't want to share their treasured lunch find with others! Owned and operated by Italian Kitchen, Italian Kitchen To Go is tucked in the office tower building at 1030 Georgia St, with an entrance on Alberni St, beside the regular Italian Kitchen. If you didn't know it was in the office tower, you'd never find it by walking by, unless you inquired as to why there was a puzzlingly long queue appearing to lead to nowhere in an office tower lobby.
The food isn't the same as in the sit-down restaurant, but it is delicious, fresh, and above all, affordable. You can easily have a filling salad, sandwich or a slice of pizza for $5. $7 will buy you an extraordinarily filling lunch, combining a sandwich and salad. The pizzas and soup change daily, but the sandwiches, pasta, and salad options are standard every day. For a light lunch, I suggest getting a salad with half coucous salad and half chickpea salad. Filling and nutritious for $4.20. Their beet and tomato salads go quickly, so get there early. Their pizzas are to die for, and have a much lighter, air-filled crust than your typical pizza. They have options like smoked salmon, mushroom lovers, a variety of pesto-based vegetarian options, and meat pizzas as well.
Prepare to wait in line for 10-15 minutes at the peak of lunch hour (around 12:30). Once you order your food at the counter, it is ready within a minute or two. There is no place to sit near the takeout counter or in the office lobby, although you can sit in the courtyard nestled behind the Urban Tea Merchant when the weather is nice.
One note: The menu board behind the counter is written in very small font. If you're like me and your glasses prescription could use some updating, you may have a hard time reading it.Listed in: Lunch on the go downtown

Well this should really be 3.5 stars but I knocked it down a bit because of the price.
I got to IKTG at about 11.30 to avoid lines which was a great idea. All items were fresh and things looked goooood. I just wanted something light so opted for the soup of the day (vegetables with prosciutto) and the been salad. The soup, first of all, was amazing. The flavours were full and rich likely due to the prosciutto (key to all successful vegetarian dishes...add meat). Veggies were ample and included asparagus so they did not skimp on quality and only give you carrots and celery. I eagerly devoured every bite to get to the next...so tasty.
The salad was also pretty good but there was exactly one dime-sized nugget of goat cheese so that did not impress. And the 2 items together cost me 10$ so not a great deal. I think their panini/salad deals are better (around 7$ i think?) so it likely all depends on what you order.
But the quality was definitely there so in many ways, way more satisfying than paying 5$ for something that tastes like arse. -

Since renovated, the Italian Kitchen To Go menu was one of the best kept secrets in 2010. The bang for buck was unbelievable - a big fan of the kobe beef lasagna for $6.95 - the beef so rich and tender, smothered in pasta sauce. Today's beet salad was crisp and crunchy, making me wonder if they blanched the beets.
While the price of the food has gone up since the renovations, the quality is pretty much the same. I will continue to get the half-sandwich/salad combo since it gives me my fill of veggies with a warm sandwhich all for under $8; a much healthier fare than the fast food.
The lasagna will always be my favorite and my go-to meal for those lunches when I want something warm and filling. Be careful, the portion is quite generous and can definitely fill one up for the remainder of the afternoon. -

Cheap, fast, delicious and it's ITALIANOOOO.
Seriously, couldn't ask for more. I ordered the kobe beef lasagna for $8 and my mind was blown. Well, not really but the beef was soft and delicious. However the lasagna was a bit soft, but maybe that's because it was still really hot...
The other dishes looked delicious too. 92[irfewa'ldfsa. Oh sorry, I was cleaning the saliva from my keyboard... -

This is truly one of the best-kept lunch secrets in Vancouver. The food is super fresh, the staff are efficient and friendly. I love their beet salad with a bit of goat cheese but their pizzas and paninis are also fantastic.
To boot -- it's cheap. Not penny-pinching uncle cheap but underpriced for the spectacular value offered. Don't worry about the lines, they move really quickly.
The only downside is that there is no where to sit -- you can run back to the office or find a seat outside somewhere.Listed in: Best Lunches under $10

Having a bit of a love/hate relationship with this spot. Once my favorite lunch spot - for good reason - great, fresh, fast food at an awesome price - the quality appears to have gone down recently.
The pizza and panini's are awesome and I would continue to recommend those. What is miss, however, is the pastas...I recently had the lasagne, truffle oil pasta (?) and the penne with meatballs. Expecting the same food what would be offered next door, I was disappointed. The pasta tastes like it's come out of a microwave, or it's lukewarm...far too saucy most of the time and overall, not the best experience.
I also wasn't a big fan of their macarons.
The salads are also pretty good, however, I've noticed they are a little on the cheap side with cheese in the caprese. I commend IK2Go for their concept, though, and will continue to go. -

Seriously I think I've eaten here 6 times since my last review. I cannot get enough. I am so happy for healthy lunch options and also if I want a little sweet treat.. the baked goods are perfect (OMG NUTELLA TWIST, WHAT!)
