Review from Dave M.
While doing the tourist thing yet again in Niagara, I learned that my girl had never been exposed to iHop, so I added it to the list.
Now, I'm fully aware of the legends, that Canadian iHop's are ridiculously expensive, and nowhere near as tasty as their Yank counterparts. Well, here's the scoop...
It was odd at the start. The hostess was nowhere to be found. We stood there waiting for so long, we were starting to wonder if something was wrong. A good ten minutes later (at least), the hostess emerges, unapologetically leading us to the table.
Anyway, once we were seated, things got better. Our waitress was very nice, prompt, and consistent. My girl ordered the bacon/cheddar soup, and I ordered the bacon and egg burger (which I've had before in U.S. iHops). The food verdict? Not a single thing wrong. In fact, it was quite tasty.
And yes, when bill-time came, it was a little disheartening. We paid around double what we would have paid in the states, but that's the lame reality I guess. We still walked away with full stomachs, happy with the food, and one less iHop V-card in the world. -

Yeah, the others were dead on with the prices for this IHOP restaurant. Very high priced. The food was good, but for the three of us that ate here, it cost us $65 to eat here -- for breakfast. Yeah. Not good when we can eat at the same restaurant for alot less than that. The waitress was nice and the service was good.

Yikes WTF.. Why is IHOP in Canada soooo expensive? Come'on.. this is terrible! The food DOES NOT warrant the cost.. Don't get me wrong, I liked my breakfast but it wasn't worth the fee..

Too expensive for what you get.
This is what I get for NOT yelping before I pick a restaurant when I am out of town. Seriously, way too expensive for mediocre food, minimal service, and no atmosphere. I used to love getting pancakes at an IHOP, but I don't think it is worth the price they charge these days. Go somewhere, anywhere else. -

I have been to IHOP in the states and, let me tell you, it is AMAZING! (I never met a pancake or a waffle that did not agree with me)
HOWEVER, this location was RIDICULOUSLY overpriced (we spent more on breakfast than we did for a steak dinner at the keg)
The food was good but $20 for an omlette???? and $5 for a coffee???
I went only because I had a great past experience but the prices were REALLY high
I enjoy the stuffed french toast
But I caution to stay away from the prices
If you can, cross the border! Any IHOP in the states will be, probably, one tenth of the price! -

Too expensive to consider buying anything...so just bought s coffee to see how it is, and believe me when I say it was less coffee and more hot water

Pancakes and crepes tasted like year old burnt lard. The fruit on the crepes was dry and chewy. I couldn't eat the crepes - they were vile. Way overpriced for junk like this. Avoid.

Stay away. Far away! Came here around noon one day because my friend loves ihop. We get there and are told it would be a 20 min wait. So I ask to go to the washroom and see tons of free tables that are completely filthy and lots of wait staff waiting around. Once we are seated, we get told it will be 40 min for food...when the restaurant is half full. We ordered coffee and took a look at the menu..its literally 14.99 for eggs, bacon, toast! Most dishes are $20 min. We just walked out. I don't always mind poor service if the food and prices are good..but this was terrible on every aspect! Trust me and stay far away.

We went here because it was located in our hotel and we needed to eat and get moving.
We knew IHOP plates were huge so we ordered four plates to share amongst six people (one of which came from the supposedly "cheap" seniors menu). Our bill still came to an outrageous $140. Sure we ordered one tea, three coffees and one milk and a couple of extra sides. Sure it was tasty, but damn that was an insanely expensive breakfast!
Moral of the story: Unless you want to spend out the wazoo, we suggest dining elsewhere. -

Went in, sat down, got up and left.
Over priced!!!! -

Nothing was good here. Price was ridiculous! We walked in thinking it would be like the regular IHOP and ordered the standard pancake sets. Turns out this place is about twice as expensive as a regular iHOP. You are better off eating at a fancy restaurant, because the cost will end up being around the same.
Also, the service was terrible. Slow service even though they had many waitstaff and not that many customers. If I could give this 0 stars, I would. -

Definitely not as expensive as our American friends seem to believe. Maybe their IHOPs are cheaper. I know for a fact their portions are bigger, so you can factor that in as well. Really the prices are pretty much what you can expect going to any chain-breakfast place (see: Denny's).
My girlfriend and I were really excited to see the IHOP open attached to the motel we like to stay at. We haven't been to one since going to our first across from Disneyland in Anaheim. We went with a couple of friends of ours and decided to introduce them to the House o' Pancakes.
Our waitress seemed a little stressed with the table next to us. They were sending food back because the portions were too small. (Sorry, Yanks, I feel like I'm picking on you guys). Truthfully, everyone at the table was satisfied between the four of us.
We all got variations of pancakes with coffees or orange juice. The meal was great. The waitress put her best fake smile on even with the trials she was facing just a table over. None of us left hungry. The ladies didn't even finish their meals. I forced mine down, since it isn't really cheap.
The bill came out to $60 for the four of us, which is pretty much the going rate for breakfast places. I think the portions were more than enough for the price and much more worth it than a tasteless buffet would have been. I enjoyed it, though our neighbours, in the booth beside us, did everything to make sure that we didn't. -

I'm not in the habit of reviewing chain restaurants, but I thought this particular location merited a personal analysis. First off, I decided to get breakfast at IHOP because I've had good experiences at their other locations, but there isn't one near where I live.
After driving here from my hotel, I found zero parking spots, so I had to go back to my hotel and walk over. After investing 45 minutes in getting there, I found out that we had a 40-minute wait to look forward to. We didn't feel like searching for another restaurant, so we decided to stay... About an hour and a half later, we finally were seated. Unfortunately, our morning of waiting was not over at this point. Eventually our server showed up and took our order. She came back awhile later with drinks, but she forgot my girlfriend's coffee. After some more waiting our food came out, and the coffee finally arrived. Unfortunately we were never able to get any refills on our drinks because our server was nowhere to be seen. This was particularly annoying when we just wanted to pay our significantly overpriced bill and get out of this place. While I would visit other IHOP locations again, I certainly would not recommend eating at this one in Niagara Falls. -

If your American, the prices alone should tell you to turn around and leave. Really, $8 for a stack of 3 pancakes?!?! Wait staff was horrible with long wait times between stops and the construction next door rattled the joint so bad, you couldn't hear yourself think!!

Ridiculously expensive! We would have been better off eating a buffet at our hotel for less than what we paid eating here. To add insult, the portion sizes were meager. For a family of four, expect to spend between $60-$70 usd! We left there hungry and pissed.

I wish I read this review before we went. SO EXPENSIVE. DON'T GO! Very mediocre food and service. Not worth the extra expense. The Hilton next door has a $14.95 buffet that would work out to be cheaper. I wish we went there instead. What a bummer.
We ended up getting basic breakfast without 'expensive' juice and it still came out to be about $100 for 4 people! Whaaattt!!?!? Fail! -
Review from Debra H.
I wish I would have checked out reviews before going. There is no parking. The restaurant wasn't very clean. I only saw the waitress a few times. She took our order, gave us our food and gave us the check. Their was basically no service. I ordered pancakes and there was no butter. They were very dry. My husband ordered french toast . Our bill was over 40.00. I could have gotten lobster for that.
