Buffalo, NY
Even though I love to support locally-owned restaurants, but I stop by at this IHOP whenever I'm craving for sweets for breakfast. I love their crepes (Nutella and Swedish), they are good and greasy!
I only wish this place open 24 hours on weekdays. They close at 10pm. (Open 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays.) -

Yep Ben. Same thing for me today. Daughter and I went in - hostess seemed like she was on drugs or something; sluggish greeting & responses, inattentive. Get seated and then nothing. We waited 20 minutes (try doing that with a 3 year old who's hungry!) for someone to even come by to see what we wanted to drink (typically the first contact with your sever) but they never came. I warned people on my way out, "Good luck getting someone to actually come take your order for even drinks!"
I can't say we were the only table - it was moderately busy; but you're an IHOP on the freakin' main strip by the Galleria mall for gods sake. Get your act together. Next time I'm picking a non-chain place where I might be more likely to actually get service. -

Maybe it's just me, but I don't really get the whole IHOP deal. It's okay, but for the food they serve, I'd rather hit up a locally-owned restaurant like amy's place.
Spinach & roasted tomato omelette- okay when doused in their cholula hot sauce (where's the tapatio at?). Fruit bowl - moldy grapes (at least on some they cut the mold off...)
They were nice and made my mom some custom blueberry crêpes that she swore were delicious.
There is, however, some wonderfully kitschy Christmas decor at the moment, complete with non stop Christmas jingles to munch away to. -

One of three reasons to go to Buffalo, NY.**
On my quarterly trips to Buffalo our group always eats at this IHOP without fail. It's conveniently located on the way to Walden Galleria and it's almost always a shitshow, so get there early if you expect to be seated and served with any semblance of efficiency. It's a catch 22 because in a way you want to eat here for breakfast BEFORE you shop, but if you do, any clothing you try on at the mall afterwards won't fit your newly acquired girth. If you go after shopping you won't get a seat. So take your pick.
As with any IHOP try not to order too much food, because the portions are staggering. I've never seen anyone finish a stack of pancakes and the general clientele is rather rotund if you know what I'm saying. The portions are just too much - to the point that watching some of the other people eat is an instant motivator to renew that gym membership.
I once saw a family of three order chili cheese fries, five stacks of pancakes, french toast, eggs, a side of grits, sausage, bacon and chicken fingers. I was immediately overcome by the urge to order a Bowflex, Gazelle, Shake Weights, Yoga Booty Ballet DVDs and any other product that Tony Little*** endorses.
I usually order the stuffed french toast (see pic!) and something eggy on the side. I almost never get the pancakes, because as mentioned, it's just too much food. Pancake portions could easily be only two and I'd be satisfied.
For a while the Best Waitress On The Planet™ worked here. Her name was Ali Baba (!!) and she was the fucking best. So friendly, so motherly and comforting, and always had the biggest smile on her face. To date she's one of my favourite servers of all time. Then the next time we came back for pumpkin pancakes in October, she was gone. Allegedly moved back to Cheektowaga to work on a corn farm or some such. Ali Baba, if you're out there: WE MISS YOU!
Open 24 hours a day on Fridays and Saturdays.
**The other two are: 1) Walden Galleria for the CCO, J.Crew and other cheap shopping, and 2) Buffalo International Airport for dirt cheap flights within the US and Europe. It's worth the drive to Buffalo!!

Buffalo, NY
We went in got seated then nothing. No one asked for a drink order nothing, for half an hour until someone in my party went up and said something. Now after we order we don't see our food or our server for another 45 min. Now I would be more understanding if the place was packed, but we were one of five tables with ppl.

It took then a half an hour to even get to our table! Then it took another 45 minutes for the food to arrive. The food was amazing though. The staff looked completely miserable the entire time we were there. If you want IHOP choose a different location
