Delicious Japanese restaurant that serves more than just sushi.
They offer an a la carte menu, and a variety of other daily specials.
They are generous with their portions, and the meals are put together well.
This is one of the rare places in Ottawa where you can receive good food, and good service. -

I just came back from having dinner at Ichibei in Ottawa. Having previously lived in Ottawa, this was the restaurant I went to when I was longing for my mum's food.
The menu offers a variety of dishes whether it would be sushi or agedashi tofu. One of the few Japanese restaurants in the nation's capital, I find it to be quite good. Pricing of dishes aren't too extreme, which is always a bonus! The decor of this establishment is great. It's very 'Japanese' with an eastern feel.
I have been spoiled with Japanese restaurants in Toronto so perhaps this has impacted my rating; however, I wasn't blown away. This place will do if you're jonesing for Japanese and you're in Ottawa. :) -

One of my favourite Japanese restaurants in Ottawa. Great sushi at reasonable prices. Very authentic Japanese food and decor (the servers even wear Kimonos) makes you almost forget you are on Bank street.
