This place changed its name to Hyatt House, all the staff here are very friendly. What's great about this place is it comes with pretty much everything you need, since it has a kitchen with all the cooking ware, silverware, dishwasher, TV. I had a  1 bedroom suite on the fourth floor facing the street, no noise at all, pretty quiet at night.

The best part is the complimentary breakfast buffet everyday and hot appetizer and wine in the evening from chicken wings, pizza, nachos, to spinach dips.

Location - pretty centralized except it's on this weird road hard to get to sometimes (depending on where you're coming from), but it's like 1 mile from uptown and all the downtown stuff.

    I'd definitely stay here again.

As a business traveler, this was an OK place to stay in Dallas. They have a free shuttle that will take you anywhere in a 3 mile radius; I highly suggest taking advantage of it. While it is walkable to the convention center and downtown, it is not a pedestrian-friendly walk. On the other hand, walking to the uptown area was more pleasant, and we found some enjoyable dining in uptown that was preferable to the downtown scene.

The room (suite) itself was great, chock full of amenities: free wifi, stove, dishwasher, full size refrigerator, etc., with plenty of dishes, pots and pans, and cooking utensils. Unfortunately we weren't able to locate a grocery nearby, so we weren't really able to take advantage of it. It was also too bad that there was no hotel bar, as there weren't really any good bars in the immediate area, either. There was a complimentary hot breakfast, as well as a happy hour on weeknights, both of which were appreciated.

The best part was probably the fantastic service; from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, every single person we encountered was incredibly friendly.

I recently stayed her for a weekend and wasn't sure of the location. Then after all of our events and places we went, I realized we were in the best location possible. Just a few miles from Fair Park (Hot Chocolate Race which was the main reason we were in town), Medieval Times, Downtown, etc. When I booked the room using my Hyatt points I wasn't sure of the room we would get. It was better than I expected. We had a nice roomy 1 bedroom suite with a full kitchen and living area and a nice size vanity and restroom. The FREE breakfast was great! You have to pay for parking, but it beats having to find a spot on the street. I would definitely stay here next time we visit Dallas.

This place was great. The rooms were clean and the staff was extremely friendly. I stayed here with a few friends during Halloween and I have absolutely no complaints. You're in a decent location for the price that you pay for this hotel. As far as the other reviewer stating that walking to get cigarettes was scary........just to let you readers know....you're in uptown if you stay in this hotel. It's in a good neighborhood. The only thing you'll be screaming about is the beautiful architecture of all the buildings around you and the amount of expensive shopping you'll be doing. Nothing ghetto about this place. Highly recommended for those on a budget.

Pretty sweet spot with a kitchen, living room and a sweet master bedroom. Walking distance to American Airlines Convention Center.

This place was not bad .. I'll say its average the only think i don't like about this place is everything is so far from anything. I had to run to a gas station to buy cigarettes and do you know how scary that was? When its late at night and no one can hear you scream...

to top that all off I was taking a shower in the hotel and the maid walked in on my while i was naked. I guess she didn't hear the water or i had turned off the water while she was walking in and BAM just like a as you would see in a movie.

safe to say i feel cheap now and she didn't even put a dollar in my mouth.
