How do I rate a football stadium?  Pretty easy.  The ONLY football stadium in the US on a body of water, lake view, mountain view.  Oh, and you can go to the games by boat, which we religiously do!

The upcoming renovations to the stadium will retain the uniqueness of the facility, and make it the gold standard for students, athletes, and fans.

I have been here MAAAAANNYYYY times with my boyfriend. Since his whole family is all about the Huskies and I went to the UW, we come here whenever the huskies are playing..and some Cougar games.. since I am also a Cougar fan.. I know I know it just seems wrong right?!! I bleed purple and red.
I wish that the stadium was a bit more closed in so you don't freeze to death when the wind hits you. parking can be a pain.. and the concessions here are so costly is hurts to look at the prices.. (although we never normally get food at stadiums)  I do appreciate that coming up into the stadium there is a ramp since I hate doing 50,000 stairs just to get to your seat.
The view of lake Washington is amazing!

well.. needless to say we will be back. and we are looking forward to seeing how the new stadium looks!

Born and raised in Hawaii then migrated to Seattle.
I've been living in Seattle around four years now and have never watched a Huskies Game - but that all changed today, when the Huskies played the Warriors!

    It was AWESOME!!!

Me being a UW fan at heart, I represented with my UW shirt.  My fiance' on the other hand, wore his green "Hawaii" tee.  In the end, UW won the game 40 to 32!

The heat was at a high 94* today.  Luckily we had seats on the south side, watching the entire game in the shade! This was a big factor in my enjoyment.

The Husky support is amazing! I was proud to be cheering for Udub!

This place gets LOUD! Husky fans mean business when they come to Husky Stadium to cheer for the Dawgs. As college football stadiums go (and I have been to many of them across the country), this place gets bonus points for the gorgeous views of the Lake Washington and the Cascade Mountains. And though Husky Stadium has long been in desperate need of renovation (and upgraded dining options, quite frankly), major renovations begin at the conclusion of this season and will be completed  for the start of the 2013 season.

One thing is certain: Dawg fans will return in 2013 louder and prouder than ever! I can't wait to update this review touting the glories of Husky Stadium 2.0 and giving it the full 5 stars it will hopefully deserve.

I'm not a Husky fan.  However, I've been to a number of games here and they're ok.  The walk up to the higher stands is definitely a hike.  The views from the stands are great, but the shaking of the stomping feet and cheering crowds can be a bit intimidating.  The stands are partially covered so that can be good - depending on where you're sitting - and has always worked out for me.  Overall, this is a pretty cool place to watch a game.

Beautiful scenery, people and my beloved Huskies! Tailgating is the best and if you having experienced Boat gating your missing out! If you know someone with a boat you can float up to the stadium on a nice day and watch or just drink at one of the most beautiful stadiums in College football.

Who knows what the renovations will bring but it can't be a bad thing and with how the Dawgs are playing this year its going to be a fun place to be in the next few years with our young team.

Been to many sporting events in my short life and one of the best experiences I've had was at Husky Stadium. Looks pretty big from the outside but when you get in its very easy to find your way around. The staff is very helpful and pointing you into the direction that you need to go, and they also have huge sings... so if you can't find your way around then you must have gone to OU. The food is typical stadium food with typical stadium food prices. But all that is a moo point cause who honestly expects great food for great prices at a sporting event.

The stadium is pretty and old and in need of some major upgrades but I think that adds to the experience. When the Dawgs are on defense and the crowd is into it, you can feel the whole stadium shaking thanks to he bleacher seating in the stadium. To add more to the Husky experience the south end zone has been re-done and they now have a beer garden, food vendors, and activities that everyone from all ages can enjoy. If you ever plan to attend a Husky sporting event I would say a football game at Husky stadium is the way to go.... GO DAWGS!!

This was for the LSU vs Washington football game to open the 2009 College Football Season up.  I was living in San Francisco at the time, so it was an easy trip for me.  Plus I love college football and partaking in other school's traditions.

    Ok...Husky Stadium...

Let's get this out of the way first.....

Kyle W is a Jacko Fact #1: I'm an opposing fan
Kyle W is a Jacko Fact #2:  Even worse, I'm an SEC fan
Kyle W is a Jacko Fact #3:  I almost got kicked out of the stadium for being too rowdy....oh HELLO.

Add those 3 jacko facts together...I obviously have a biased opinion of Husky Stadium.

    Highlights:
Tailgating or Sailgating is bad ass.  Neat different experience.
Sightlines of the stadium are amazing.
The Soccer Stadium type roof....keeps the sun out, so I don't have to mosturize my skin
UW's band played one of LSU's fight songs before the game...classy
    Great overall experience.
    Located in Seattle.  Awesome city.

    Lowlights:
Track around the stadium....that's just messed up man.  No real football stadium should have a track around it.
Fan police...yes I had a friend...she got way too hammered and stumbled into the chair in front of her.  UW fan started talking shit to her...and I started barking at him.  Next thing I know....he goes down tells a cop I was being too mean.  Cop pulls me aside to tell me to calm down or I will be ejected.  Never had that happen before at any of the Pac 10 or SEC stadiums that i've ben to.  Booooooooo.

Anyways....great game, and actually made some friends from UW.  Fans are knowledgeable, and they showed up even after the bad season with Ty Willingham.

Would go back if LSU and UW ever scheduled another game.

This stadium needs a serious update... or maybe a tear-down and rebuild.

I attended the recent Ducks/Huskies game here, and was amazed at how old and decrepit the stadium has become. Let me count the ways.

    1. Benches in the West end have been repainted so many times you can barely see the numbers on the seats
    2. Men's bathrooms are in portable/temporary structures
    3. No beer garden inside the ticket areas, you have to leave at half and walk ALL the way around to the East side to go to The Zone for a brew
    4. No way to get from West to East ends without either leaving the stadium and re-entering, or climbing up into the stands and cutting across.
    5. Concrete in the West end starting to deteriorate
    6. North parking lot tailgate area is a freakin' hike from the stadium

I just spent $70 per ticket to attend a game here (and those were end-zone seats). That's a lot of cheddar for something this old.

It was a lot nicer when I saw a game here back in the early 90's.

0-10... first time in school history. EVER in UW History. Coming from a girl who started UW the season after the National Championship, this was a HARD, SAD, UNBEARABLE season. DISMAL!
But, with that... I LOVE HUSKY stadium. I love tailgating before the games. I love the flock of seagulls that seem to always fly over the away team section and shit on the fans. I love Captain Husky. I love how a whole stadium can BOO Rick Deuschiesel, terrible calls, and scream with pride when the Huskies come out for the game. Can you imagine being a senior football player this season? Heartbreaking. But last night the stands stood up and honored each one of those seniors. Because in the end, they are kids playing football at the wonderful Husky Stadium. Don't give up folks, we will be back.

This is the best place to watch the Huskies lose.  The views from the stadium are amazing.  From the upper deck they are literally some of the most beautiful views from a stadium I have ever seen.

There aren't too many bad seats in this place and if you're lucky, they even have built in seat cushions!  And if you're even luckier, people with way better seats will decide they don't want to go since they Huskies are so bad...and they will give you their tickets!

You've got to go early and tailgate - it is definitely the best.

This is the place to be on a beautiful fall day.  It's just perfect.

    ***

Side note: DO NOT ORDER FROM STARBUCKS!  The Starbucks in Husky Stadium has the worst setup and worst drinks in the entire world.  You stand in a freaking long line, then you finally order your drink and then you stand in an even longer freaking line to get your drink.  When you finally receive it and are eagerly awaiting that first sip of hot chocolate that will send warmth from your head to your toes....you discover the stupid thing is LUKEWARM and tastes like pure milk.  Where the hell is all the chocolate?  Oh wait, I figured it out - ALL THE CHOCOLATE IS AT THE VERY BOTTOM BECAUSE THEY DON'T MIX THE DRINK.  The last few sips tasted so disgusting I thought I might be sick.  I ended up tossing the pure chocolate leftovers.

I spent the entire third quarter in line for this disgustingly lukewarm cup of hot chocolate.  Worst $5 I have ever spent in my entire life.

Husky Stadium holds many memories for me, and they all revolve around Husky football. Yes, soccer and track have had their moments here. But the football team has won championships, and tens of thousands of fans have gathered here on Saturdays for generations. This stadium's heart beats football.

As at the University of Tennessee, many of our fans show up by boat, dropping anchor and loosing boisterous alumni on the shores of the lake. No other school can claim such a cool venue. And we do turn out a rowdy crowd here.

Truth be told, I have in fact seen crowds even nicer; in our national championship season the Nebraska Cornhusker faithful, for demolishing their boys on the road in Lincoln, gave us a standing ovation as we came off their field. That level of true sportsmanship is rare, even in college athletics. We might not quite be there--but we're still a very welcoming and collegial crowd nonetheless. And definitely loud.

For the visiting players, however, this place has been quite inhospitable at times. Lately we've offered precious little resistance to opponents seeking victory, though last season shows progress. But it hasn't always been that way.

Realistically, in the PAC-10, only USC has regularly been able to say they're more talented than every other school in the conference. We've only been able to say that for a season here and there. We made up for that talent gap with toughness and fitness, compounded occasionally by gloomy, howling rainstorms.

Teams might keep it close against us, but when the fourth quarter rolled around, cold and damp, every Husky player would hold four fingers aloft. We were known for last-minute comebacks for years, and for putting teams away with huge fourth quarters.

The stadium itself, though, in many ways set the tone for the day well before the fourth quarter. A long tunnel runs under the stadium from the locker rooms to the sideline. Teams meet for last-minute pre-game pep talks in auditoriums off the tunnel. When Stanford came to town in 87, we had a new north deck to christen, adding thousands of seats and improving the look of the stadium. Stanford players for some reason had said they were "on a crusade," part of which included spoiling the opening ceremonies in our newly remodeled stadium.

A freshman that year, I was working in the athletic department, and was about to run down the tunnel with a hugely heavy first aid kit in each hand. Just as I got to the top of the incline, the doors to the meeting room burst open. They're those crash-bar doors, and the first couple dozen players bounced through, shoved out into the tunnel by an angry mob of teammates. To this day, any time I need a jolt of intensity in my mood, all I have to do is picture that memory. As the first couple dozen players bounced off the opposite wall and started ricocheting into each other, smashing helmets and pads, the chants got louder--"WHOSE house? DAWGS' HOUSE!" Even with 75 pounds in each hand, I couldn't feel any weight. The intensity was overwhelming. Chris Chandler hit Darryl Franklin for a 70+ yard TD on our second play of the game, and we never looked back. Keep your crusade, Stanford. And we weren't even that good that year. The national championship team was ten times better, at least.

That tunnel certainly isn't a private passage just for the Dawgs, though. Opponents have to use it to get to the field too. This has sometimes been a choreographed affair. They'll near the bottom of the tunnel, and the security guards will swing the gate shut and lock it--"sorry guys, your band said they were coming through this part of the track and they need a minute to set up to play for you." Mysteriously, the lights then flicker and turn off. The meeting rooms upslope crash open, and the Huskies come down the tunnel, trapping the other team. Howling, barking, chanting, they press the opponents down against the gate. The security guard sees this, waits for a minute, and says "geez, guys, I don't know where your band is. They said they'd be here. Go on ahead."

There have been countless legendary moments here for Husky fans. The stadium itself will change fairly radically in a year, with a lower field and many seats much closer to the game. As with the north deck, we'll have a christening to defend. We haven't set the opponent yet for that game. Whoever they turn out to be, I hope they tell the media beforehand they want to spoil things for us that day. And I hope we give them a proper welcome to the newest era of the Dawgs' House.

No better way to make me homesick for Seattle than to see pics of the Husky Football Team beat the pants off of Boise State yesterday at Husky Stadium. An unexpected win but no a total surprise as most competitors will agree that Husky Stadium is a hard place in which to win - unless you are wearing the purple and the gold.  With a "storied" football program, yesterday's game in this elite stadium  was described as "...not Husky football circa 2002-2006. The feeling of Rose Bowls, National Championships and All-Americans was back again Saturday"

Sun shining, Lake Washington in the background, Husky Pride back in full effect...GO DAWGS!!

I've seen football games all over the country, and although I am admittedly biased, this is the best stadium anywhere to watch a fall football game. Where else can you arrive by boat, "tailgate" aboard a yacht, gather round the climbing rock, enjoy Ivar's clam chowder at halftime or shake it to "Tequila"?

Watch out all you Pac10 Rivals and Big 10 Haters:  Get ready to Bow Down to Washington Football!

As a University of Washington Alumna, I have a special place  in my heart for Husky Stadium. I feel like this stadium exudes the energy that college football is all about. Now, its not a secret that the Huskies have had a rough couple of seasons BUT the dedication of its fans (season after season) says a LOT about the love both Alumni and non-alumni share for the UW.

There is NOTHING quite like sitting in Husky Stadium on a sunny, crisp autumn day.

I'm biased. Yeah whatever. The stadium is great. The upper decks can induce vertigo in even the most stable of people, but the views available are great. There's nothing like watching football with a backdrop of Lake Washington and Mt. Rainier.

While the team and the fan base have been iffy these past few seasons, the stadium itself has always pleased. There also a ton of pregame activities for all. There's the walk, tailgating, the Husky Huddle, the alumni band and so on.

Husky Stadium is a dynamic stadium that is always great to visit.

It is possible that during my four years of undergrad classwork at the UW, I spent more time at Husky Stadium than I did in all of the other classrooms I went through combined.  But then, I was in the marching band and that's probably why.

That's also probably why I love Husky Stadium and why I will always be a Husky.  You can tailgate on boats.  You can see the mountains (and 520) from some seats.  The place shakes when it gets really noisy - though I'm not sure how safe that is.  I've seen the bad (last year) and I've seen the great.  We have clam chowder in bread bowls and we have Captain Husky.  We have a helmet car that's actually sizeable enough to be a helmet CAR (as opposed to a large helmet on the back of a car) and we're one of the lucky Pac-10 schools with a real life mascot.

I'll always bleed purple and gold and I'll always hum the alma mater to myself when I see the stadium.  Go Dawgs!

    Husky Stadium.

    It's a dump.

    But its OUR dump.

I have great memories of Husky Stadium,   If you really want to do Husky Stadium right you have to catch a football game there.   Hit up one of the many tailgates, where fans are really generous with their food and their tall tales of Husky football lore.   If you are not into the tailgate type, take the Chinook party boat from Chinooks at fisherman's terminal.  You can get a 20$ ticket, which covers a ride to and from, as well as a drink ticket!.

Anyways more about the stadium.  The bathrooms are really dumpy, they have one of those giant long 'troughs' where everyone just pees into.

But one saving grace, when its a sunny day, you have a great view of the mountain and the water.  Its just beautiful

Good sitelines from the upper deck + loud, vocal fans = Good times.

I've been to several Pac-10 and NFL stadiums and Husky Stadium is the loudest I've been to.  So loud that OSU had to stop and call time out several times to get their play calling in order.  To me, that's one of the marks of a good stadium experience.  To top it off, UW won in double overtime.

    Touchdowns:
    - Good, smart fan base creates a lot of noise.
    - Good view even from high up in the upper deck (North stand, Row AA).
    - Great location next to campus (contrast with the Rose Bowl, which is 25 miles from campus, or USC which is next to campus but in the ghetto).
    - Easy (and free) access to/from downtown Seattle via bus.

    Penalties:
    - Difficult, if not impossible, to hear the UW band from the upper deck of the North stand since they are right beneath you.
    - The upper deck is so high that it takes forever to exit.
    - The concession fare in the North stand was pretty weak.  Make sure you eat beforehand or go to The Zone if you want decent food.
    - The condiments were abysmal.  A giant jar of ketchup with a tiny plastic spoon?

Husky Football makes me drool.  I know we suck.  I know the next few years are going to be rough.  But it still makes me drool!  (the drool might be from an excess consumption of alcohol in the E1 parking lot just north of husky stadium though).

If you've never been here for a husky game, you should go. the atmosphere is amazing.  Even when we're terrible (0-12 anyone?).  When we're winning it is one of the best feelings in the world!

Also, it is (I think) the only stadium in the country where you can tailgate on a boat before the game.  Now THAT is cool.

Years of major traffic jams all through the UW area before and after games..

UW officials have a good plan. They post signs informing people of game days and traffic delays  in advance of the games. It does not ease the traffic that one can see.. but for some of us who might have inadvertently headed out to Whole Foods .. or some place in the area and thought we would get back out quickly we are WARNED!

Don't get me wrong, I love Husky Stadium. It's been the home to many a great game (losing can be fun too) over my college years, as well as random activities that happen in the stadium. There's nothing like the feel of dozens of tiers of fans screaming at the top of their lungs. Unfortunately, you keep thinking whether those fans will end up toppling the stadium one day.

Husky Stadium has been around, and you can tell. It reminds me of the old Kingdome in a way, right down to the spiral ramps that lead to the top of one side of the stadium. The bathrooms are outdated and inadequate, the benches are definitely outdated. I've been to many colleges, and Husky Stadium may well be the worst I have ever seen. Unfortunately, due to the budget crunch, and especially with the money pouring into Washington roadwork, the endowment may not be there to replace the stadium within the next half decade.

The stadium is most definitely fun due to the games there, but don't expect great installations.

This was still a lot of fun, but this review is about the Starbucks at the stadium, so I kept the same rating.

You get in line, they mark your name on the cup and the line is really to identify what you want and to pay.  The line crawls at a snail's pace.

Then, you move to another area to actually get what you paid for.  The person behind the counter yells out your name and you come up and get the cup.  We waited through an entire quarter getting a cup of  hot chocolate.

This has to be the worst process for operating a coffee stand.  We regretted coming here after the first 20 minutes of standing in line.   Horrible!

Amazing view both on the field and off. Full panorama of Lake Washington to gaze at if the game has turned you off. (It was easy to be turned off by the product on the field these last few years.)

Been coming here for decades, and while a remodel will do this aging beauty well, I hope she doesn't lose her character. Husky stadium is a great place to watch a game, epically when the Dawgs are killing a Pac-10 opponent.

Tailgating here is always a blast and starts early most games, so get down here when the sun rises and prepare to have a great time!

Good afternoon, Dawg fans! With its views of Lake Washington and the Cascades to the east and upper campus and the Olympics to the west (if you are sitting in the upper deck), Husky Stadium is easily one of the best venues to watch college football. Though one venue does come close - that would be a January game in the Rose Bowl!

Attending a football game here is quite the experience! The one thing you need to realize is that you have to plan your whole day around the game. You will most likely tailgate with other fans in the Montlake parking lot just north of the stadium or the south parking lot. If tailgating isn't for you, then you can always prefunk in one of the many bars on The Ave like Big Time Brewery or Finn McCools. Make sure you get to these bars at least three hours prior to kickoff so you can get a table! Afterwards, you can take a leisurely stroll/stumble through campus on the way to the stadium.  Another option that I can highly recommend is going to game by boat (aka, the Husky Navy). Though there are many charters that take fans to Husky Stadium, you may want to try the Argosy Cruise Lines/Ivar's Salmon House Brunch package.  You get to park your car for free, have a kick-ass brunch and then hop on the boat and cruise on over to the game. Remember - Argosy has a well stocked bar for Husky games!

Once at the game you will be amongst 72,500 rabid fans cheering for the Dawgs. The amount of noise generated by the fans is absolutely amazing. With the yelling and stomping of feet, it feels like there is an earthquake and you will wonder if the stadium is going to collapse! That is how I felt when I was in the press box - kind of scary really. If you ever happen to watch a televised game you will notice that the camera is shaking at times - it is the fans that are doing it and then they will switch to another camera!  I also read somewhere that at a game I had been to (I think it was against Oklahoma), it was so loud that it reached 130 decibels! 130 decibels is what they consider as the threshold of pain. To put that into context: 160 decibels is a jet engine going full blast!

I've seen many Husky victories and losses through the years, but the ones I remember most vividly are the ones when I was much younger.  The best win has to be against USC in 1990.  We absolutely dominated every facet of the game and won 21-0.  The worst loss(es) to me are tied between two games (actually these two games were quite traumatic to me):  UW's last second loss to Oregon State in 1985 (21-20) and to UCLA in 1990 (25-22).  The Oregon State loss was just plain shocking because how do you lose to Oregon State?  The Huskies finished #2 in the rankings the previous season after their win against Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl (BYU finished first, but they had a cakewalk schedule compared to UW).  Oregon State considers the win at UW their biggest of the 20th century!  The UCLA loss was a stab in the heart because we were ranked #2 going in and we were looking to land our first National Championship.  Those dreams were dashed that that day (UCLA was unranked coming into that game), but we won the whole enchilada the following year!

Concessions at the stadium is pretty standard for a sporting venue, though you won't be paying premium prices like you do at Qwest Field and Safeco Field.  My main staples are the Polish sausage, giant pretzel w/mustard and hot chocolate (it can get pretty damn cold during the game). Oh, I noticed that Porter's BBQ (Dixie's) has a stand in the west plaza if you are into their bbq.

Husky Stadium was built in 1920 and it is the seventh oldest stadium in the country.  It is also showing a little bit of wear and there is talk that we should play our games at Qwest Field.  That is just crazy talk - tradition mandates that Husky Football be played along the shores of Lake Washington!

    BOW DOWN TO WASHINGTON!

There is no college stadium like Husky Stadium.  I love looking out over the water at the collection of sail boats and yachts that have 'parked' for the game.  The stands get so loud that the cameras shake on live television feed.  Win or Lose, Husky fans support their team with a passion.  This is the land of the purple giants; the Montlake monsters.  It's where Tui set records for yardage, Captain Husky leads the cheer, and the Cougs are destroyed again and again.  Husky Stadium is simply the best college stadium that there is.

Rockin.  Did you see that stadium shake rattle and roll during the first half of the Nebraska game?  The most intense and intimidating stadium on the West Coast by far.  A Purple and Gold house of pain, let's hope they don't ruin it whence they "remodel" the place after next year.  Is that really even going to happen?

I'm sure that this place is entirely different on a game day, with 70,000 people streaming in and all the color and a nip of fall in the air. That's what makes a stadium, after all. Without their promise fulfilled that way, they're just cavernous boxes of various shapes.

I've never gone to a Husky football game because I'm not a fan of any of the in-state teams. I'm from Tennessee and a Vols fan for life. But I went out to Husky stadium for the first time last Friday night to watch the Seahawks practice and, from a totally unbiased perspective, this is a stadium that REALLY needs a face-lift - well, to be honest, an Extreme Make-Over - and I mean RIGHT NOW.

I know about all the history, even if I don't care about it and I know it's dear to people's hearts and I'm not discounting that but the place is falling apart. Like a lot of people, I had read all the hoopla about the $150M in matching funds the school wanted from the state and thought they were crazy for even asking, here in a recession, but now I agree with them: this isn't cosmetic spruce-up they're talking about. This is basic safety up-grades. The concrete is crumbling conspicuously. The wooden seats have large and ragged chunks out of them. The metal supports of the roof sections are showing fatigue. It's been repainted so many times that it looks like Joan Rivers' face. The sight lines, actually, at least in the lower bowl, are EXCELLENT, but the aisles are too narrow, there's no concourse, so you have to do the Qwest Field thing and miss large chunks of the game while you get from one place to another. The men's bathroom looked like the loo in a bad grade school, and the wind HOWLS out of every tunnel into the seats.

Most of all, at least for us, it's one of the absolute worst places I've ever seen for handicapped access. If there are any reserved spaces for wheelchairs, I didn't see them. If they are where it appeared they HAD to be, that means anyone unfortunate enough to come into a Husky game in a chair has to accept seeing the game from the rough equivalent of a low-flying blimp or use binoculars. And all the babble about how the running track is bad for the football games - which I assumed was just football-elitist dismissal of the sport of track - is dead-on. That track is absolutely WRONG for that stadium. If the initial rationale for putting it there was that they needed stands for spectators during track & field meets, somebody at the UW has obviously gotten all their track wisdom from watching it at the Olympics. They could set up a small truckload of folding chairs around that track anywhere else on the UW property and seat everybody who will ever come to watch Husky track - and I was a college all-American in track & field. I like it better than football. But it is NOT a huge spectator sport, at least not outside of Eugene.

Husky Stadium, as it sits today, IMHO, is an out-right safety hazard; a crumbling, rickety facility that shouldn't even host one more game without major up-grades and redesign. I don't mean to demean the history or memories of the place AT ALL but, Husky fans, your stadium needs a LOT of love. Neyland Stadium, at Tennessee, is as old as this one but it has received constant maintenance and up-grading for its entire life. The state definitely should spend the money to fix this place, RIGHT NOW. To not do it creates even more of a hazard, every day it's left unrepaired.

NOTE: This is how you maintain a stadium that is only ONE YEAR newer than Husky Stadium and make it BETTER as it ages...

The views from Husky Stadium are exquisite and the enthusiasm of the purple-wearing fans is infectious.  The Dawgs lost the night I went (vs Stanford), but the experience was well worth it.  How cool is it that you can rent moorage space if you want to drive your boat up to the game??  Too bad there didn't seem to be many U of W-specific cheers.  I heard that 90% of the people who attend these games are season ticket holders - a true NW experience to hear all the old regulars yacking it up with each other.  The 80-year-old woman in front of me, who was listening to the game on huge headphones and sending text messages throughout the whole game put us all to shame.  What a lady!

I went here in 2000 so I'll write what I can remember.  It was the year the Seahawks played there since their new stadium was still being built.  Needless to say it was raining.  :)  Nonetheless I had fun.  I'm not a fan of bleachers, but it's a college stadium after all.  The Seahawks beat the Raiders that day 27-24.  Great game.  That game was when the wet sliding rule was born.

Just a great casual place to see a football game, especially if you are a fan of the opposing team ;) They serve yummy but ballpark priced BBQ, hotdogs, kettle corn, cookies... and of course Starbucks. Go early and tailgate.

Went to an away game here.  The fans I sat next to didn't even go to UW, they ripped on me and my friends a little over the top.  Nothing you wouldn't expect from going to an opposing stadium... Until french fries full of ketchup started showering us.  Another one of my teams supporters had an entire soda dumped over his head.  I husky supporter moved his kids away because of what the fans were yelling at us. Not the team on the field.  I could expect that from a student section but from our section it didn't fit.  Hard to tell about their Alumni, cause those doing this weren't.  We asked when they graduated.  Outside the stadium after my team trounced them, We met another fan who was livid because his girl took a full soda to the face which made her nose bleed, and the fans walking buy just laughed.  If you go to this stadium go in a group.  It isn't the students, its the classless fans that pour in looking to cause problems.

Only redeeming point for the stadium is the views, they are spectacular.
