Review from Justin B.

Went here while I was on vacation, twice. Service is extremely friendly first of all, the manager going out of his way to talk to my girlfriend and I how their deep-fried pickles came to be on the menu. By the way, those are really delicious. I also had their cajun chicken nachos and a BBQ chicken philly cheesesteak sandwich, both very good and huge.
I don't drink, but their alcohol selection looked pretty good and they also have a lot of activities going on, and brunch too. A beautiful outdoor section really did it for us, since we were there in late may and it was gorgeous. Nice big menu with a lot of pub favorites. Prices are very reasonable as well. 5 stars. -

This is the place to go if you you're starving and looking for huge portions of food and beer. I ordered the fried scallops and shrimp with mashed potatoes and expected maybe a mound or two of the spuds but got 4 scoops! My friend got the same so I knew they didn't make a mistake. The menu is very long, so the only problem here might be deciding what you'd like to eat. We took a long time to decide because there were so many tasty-sounding dishes there. The draft beer comes in a few different sizes and they have a selection of bottled beers too.
The night we were there, they had trivia night, so if you're into sort of thing, this place is for you! -

This place was recommended to us by the front desk worker at our hotel (Rodd Charlottetown). We were intrigued because it wasn't actually one we had seen in our wanderings around town earlier that day. Well, it turned out to be a good choice, and apparently one that every other Charlottetowner (?) made that evening because it was super busy when we arrived. There was a group of 4-5 guys in front of us and a group of 10 that came behind us! We had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated, which I thought was quite fast considering.
What everyone else says about the portions here are true - they are huge! I ordered a pint of beer, and be forewarned that pints here are actually 25 oz (I think in most other places they are more like 18). If you don't often drink beer, you may want to order another size! I was shocked when they were brought to the table and saw the size of the mugs! We ordered fish and chips (Two for one on Fridays! Great deal) and the plates were also huge! I could only eat about half my fries because the piece of fish was really large. Unfortunately the fish was a little overcooked - the batter was really crispy and bites fell apart easily which was annoying. The fish meat itself was good though, not dry. Plus, this dish is obviously popular on Fridays because of the deal, so it makes sense that pieces probably stay on/in the fryer a bit too long sometimes. Considering how busy it was, the service and food was good.
All in all, a good pub experience - nothing special but not bad either! Can't beat the prices and portions! -

i had a simple caesar salad but the service was second to none. hubby had a burger and he said it was cooked the way he requested with just the right amount of condiments; the waitress was experienced and made the whole visit worthwhile; we'd go again
