My husband and I took our snowshoes over the East Humber Bay Park this afternoon and spent over an hour there.
There were lots of birds in the water ... brrrr!
The ponds are frozen and someone has made paths in the snow for some fun skating.
It was great to get outside!
We take our dog there once in a while as it's a great spot to go for a walk. There is a trail that goes along the water's edge.
Parking is free from September to May. -

Humber Bay Park is a nifty little collection of peninsulas spreading out into Lake Ontario, just southwest of the Humber Bridge, at the base of a spate of new condo developments. It's a bit of a hidden gem for that reason, and the new buildings actually shield it even more from the noise and traffic of the Lakeshore and the QEW.
It's very scenic, since it has a high ratio of waterfront-to-park; nevertheless, its area is small, so anything requiring more space than picnicking or reading in the shade is pretty much out. It's accessible from the waterfront bike trail that goes past it, and is itself pretty fun to go though on a mountain bike. -

I took my daughter to Humber Bay Park and we spent the entire day there. We saw a baby deer walking through the trees and lots of birds and than we had a picnic at the lake. My daughter enjoyed playing at the park. It was very scenic and enjoyable.
