Of all the Hudsons in Edmonton, the campus location is my favourite. It's a great place to go for a few drinks after class, or just to meet up with friends. From here on, this review goes for all Hudson's in Edmonton...

The food is great (I love the burgers! Especially with the maple sauce... or the wings, MMM!), and the atmosphere is always fun. The service is decent, and the decor is really... Canadian. It's everything you could ever want from a Canadian pub.

I tried their Blazin' Hot Wings challenge for fun once with a guy-friend. For the record, I hate spicy food... but I made it through four wings (my buddy only made it through 3... so I was declared the winner regardless of neither of us winning). I actually left the bar to run outside and rub snow on my face and arms because it was that hot. And uh... let's just say the next morning, places were burning where they've never burned before. So if you're bored and want something to do/want to destroy your mouth... try that. I also recommend that if you do... have a glass of milk ready after, and a cup full of ice cubes.

I've been to the campus location for 2 events where they closed off the entire basement floor for us. It gets HOT down there, regardless of the time of year. They don't have air conditioning! So the more people, the more stuffy it gets.

But yeah, overall, this is a great hangout spot! 5 stars!

Conversely to my last review I quite enjoy Hudson's on campus. It's nice to have it so accessible right after an exam or large project. I love that there is a  dance floor during the weekend! Dancing just makes everything better! I've been here for a lot of different events and I've always had a great time! I think this is my Hudson's of choice, for no other particular reason than the dance floor.

Hudson's is one of my preferred bar chains. The food tends to be of good quality and this is the only place I have found in the city thus far that has Pilsner's on tap. So, I was rather disappointed that this location did not have it - I ordered a bottle instead. There was nothing else on tap which really interested me, except for Guinness. If I am going to end up drinking Pilsner from a bottle, I would rather go to Avenue Pizza around the corner. That being said, there is all the great atmosphere and excellent menu of the other Hudson's locations I have been in. I would come again for a meal, but may plan to drink something other than beer.

I've been to Hudson's on Campus a few times and find it a convenient place to go to from a long day's work.  In general, I'm not particularly fond of bars that are chains - it's a little weird!  However, having said that, I think Hudson's has a decent collection of beers and is certainly a goto bar for sporting events.

Went there a couple of times during the soccer World Cup and it was a totally fun experience!  Nothing like taking an hour's break from work to go and have a drink at Hudson's - I like, I like!  The menu is decent, not bad at all .. one thing great about chains is that most menu items are of a very decent standard.  Of course, it lacks the nuances of a more personalized menu by a quaint bar owner somewhere, but for its basic fare, I certainly would stand by it.  It's greasy, tasty, and good regulars to keep company with your beer.

Of course, I wouldn't be going to Hudson's every now and then, if I wasn't working close to it.  Can't really imagine why and how people manage to go to the Hudson's in the South common.  Perhaps people live close by or at least close to Whitemud Drive.  In any case, it's a nice and predictable place to go to, if you're in the company of good friends and just looking to have fun and watch some sports!

I really enjoy the Hudson's chain when I want to just go somewhere to chill. Their food is pretty solid and their service is usually quite good. I saw usually because this time the server we had was more concerned with her table full of guys in the corner then helping out us two girls. She actually made my friend go upstairs to get her own drink because she wanted a margarita and apparently they don't sell them in the basement, only the main floor. Uhh okay...
We had the salt and pepper wings which were really good and being a student myself I appreciated being able to see people I knew and start random conversations. There are very few places that this happens so it was different. Parking was pretty brutal too, we lucked out but it's because it was a Friday early afternoon, next time I'll just walk over.

If you're looking for a good pub with a full menu and beer that is flowing, Hudsons on Campus is a safe bet. With two levels (main floor and basement), there is plenty of seating, although the place really fills up on game nights.

The food here is better-than-average "bar food," although you'll pay a bit more than average for it, as well. Wings and potato skins here are recommended!

Staff here are friendly and are usually quick to come by when they notice that your pint glass is empty. Make sure to stop by for specials on wings and drinks, especially the specials on jugs when the Oilers score!

Music here is pretty loud for a bar without a dance floor, and line-ups can go around the building if you arrive to late on a popular night, but Hudsons is a pretty consistent place in terms of quality of food, drink, and atmosphere.

Okay, this Hudson's is pretty much next door to me, and I only go in the Summer when most university students are away.  There are a lot of drunks on 87 Avenue on weekends when the University is in session, and quite a few come out of this place.

But, in the Summer, this is actually a pretty good place to have a beer and grab a burger. It's isn't too crowded or too loud and it's way more relaxed than the Earl's up the street that went "up market".

Pick the right time of year to go for a relaxed beer and burger and I'd recommend the place to anyone.

Hudsons is Hudsons: decent enough. But this one has a small main floor with few seats and the rest of it is in the basement. There's something about being in a basement that just brings my energy down. That's just me...

I love coming here on Wednesday for their 'Wing Wednesday' nights. 35 cent wings might not be the cheapest in the city, but I enjoy them, and the atmosphere is great too. It's the perfect place to come and unwind after a long day from school and catch up with friends. They have a good selection of beer on tap, however do not expect a lot of premium import beer to be here.

I do not mind how this location very small and intimate. I appreciate the extra touches such as having the basement 'library' stocked with old reading books, and having pictures of old university grads along the wall. The music they play is also very mixed, so there is something for everyone from alternative to older rock songs to modern top hits.

Hudsons is known for their finger food, especially for sharing. Their "three-sister's" nachos are immense, however the cheese and topping layering can be a bit uneven at times because of this size. Their mini burgers are great, however it's hard to pay the regular price for them after coming in for their $2 Mini-burger Mondays. Regardless the servers are very friendly and I found they always keep an eye on your drink level, and make sure you're never empty.

This Hudsons feels like "the original." The place gets filled with students during the weekends. I have never had a bad time at this Hudsons. The staff are there to make sure you can relax all weekend before that big project due date on Monday, and they sure make it clear.

I have only ever partied downstairs. If you stay upstairs you are in for a more traditional Hudsons experience: Televisions playing whatever game is most interesting, a long bar and dark wood tables surrounded by dark wood chairs. If you go downstairs though, you will find a whole new world.

Downstairs is the Library. The Library's walls are lined with books that are years and years old. If you can pay close enough attention to the titles, you may be able to find a title that you recognize. There is still a bar down here, and there is also a small (trust me -- SMALL) dance floor off of the bar.

The Library is a great place to sit with friends and drink. I recommend anyone who is a student (or perhaps was a student once) go here and have a pint deep in the Library amongst the walls and walls of books.

I have gone here for lunch a few times and it is pretty good. I especially enjoy their wings. It is a fairly small place with seating for small groups and large groups. It is perfect for students that want to kick back with a few drinks after a tough week at school. They music is not played to loud so you don't have to yell when trying to talk to your friends or the waitress. They have a great poutine too!

This is the first Hudson's I'd been to. I went this summer when I was in the university area killing time before a park and ride. I've only been to this one and the one downtown and I kind of prefer this one. It's smaller, more intimate, the atmosphere is more social. The food and such are about the same. I like the photos on the wall of way past grads of the U of A. It's neat to see familiar historical names and photos.

This Hudsons is in a really great area, being located right on the University campus. I came here for a friend's birthday, and I thought it was great place for a get together or even just to hang out and talk. There were small tables and bigger tables for groups with comfy benches on one side. This place was fairly dim and luckily not very busy at the time, so it was easy to hear one another. I also don't remember them playing the music very loud. I did order some food here, and it was your basic deep-fried pub food, but I do remember the vegetable spring rolls being very tasty. The whole menu was really expensive though. I'm not sure if Hudsons does this anymore, but they used to take pictures of their patrons and post them on the website. They took a couple pictures of our group that night, and I did go online to see them. It's kind of a scam though, because if you want to see the pictures, you have to sign-up as a member on the site. I totally got bombarded by emails after that, but at least I got the see the pictures, which were actually pretty cool. I was just glad I wore makeup that day.
