Dealing with insurance can be a hassle: life, condo, medical, dental, travel, auto... you name it, I've got it! So when I discovered Hub a few years ago, I thought I had hit the jackpot for my car. These insurance agents will come to you! Whereever you are! Fantastic for someone like me who is always on the go! They even found me a private carrier which reduced my annual premiums by a decent amount.
So what's my lament, right? Over the last two years, I've been passed around from one bright-eyed-bushy-tailed youngster (yes, that's right I'm calling people youngsters today) who have barely been able to get through the paperwork without making a mistake. Not to mention they forget what time we agreed to meet, they get the meeting place wrong, they leave critical pieces of paperwork with me leaving me to mail them back... they cause me some severe eye rolling action.
But, it's only once a year, no big deal right? You forget about it until the next year, kind of like a physical.
But today my eyes rolled so far back in my head I thought I'd loose a contact :p
The scene:
I called the office phone number, explained I had my insurance with them and was cut off while they transferred me. (Of course I forgive this, because that might not be rude, that might just be efficiency). After speaking with an agent who couldn't find my policy at first, I was informed it would be no problem to have another driver added to my policy, as per my request.
Minutes later, I was getting a phone call back from said agent, saying she couldn't help me at the call centre because I had gone through a "commission paid" rep and I would have to contact them again.
*Sigh, entering bright-eyed-bushy-tailed youngster*
Re-explained, played phone tag with her, thought that she understood what I believed to be a simple request. Unfortunately she never did get back to me on my actual request. Meaning, I'm stuck with one person insurance when I need two person insurance and with a possible serious eye rolling condition (haha)
Phone manner - passable
Customer service - laughable
