Housebrand is a nice pairing of Architect meets object designer. Housebrand is a second floor walk up showroom featuring many well known designers but with its most featured BenSen out of Vancouver Calgary.
This is designer items and furniture folks so expect higher price tags but also expect extremely well made designer items with only the best of quality materials. The concept is unique here, not only is this a store but it is also the office for its in house architects.
Matthew North and John Brown are co-partners in this unique home creating brainchild. Not only do they help you with the design or redesign of your home but they are also recommending objects that fill it. Not in the market for buying or designing a home then come here and purchase that special object for the home you already have.
HouseBrand suggest five simple ways to improve your living space; one is connecting the inside of the house with the backyard by extending the living room as your deck and terrace. Number two is maximizing city views with movable mirrors inside your home. Number three is eliminating upper cabinets in your kitchen with windows and let the sun come in. Number 4 is mix and match shelving in your library to hold not only book but objects as well and lastly organise furniture around a main focus of a room, and use low furniture to allow for an illusion of space.
HouseBrand is lastly renowned for SlowHome, courses on the web that are available to anyone on how to plan rooms and room layouts in your home.
