Review from Roanna Z.
I absolutely love this little boutique hotel. I've stayed there on a few occasions and really felt safe, even by myself. The beds are comfy and bathrooms are clean and tidy (but tiny!) The clientele seem cool, and the people that work there are helpful and respectful.
The rooms are small and sweet, but you may want to ask for one in the front. facing a wall isn't exactly uplifting in the morning. You don't stay here if you want a great view.
This is a quiet hotel, especially when you consider it's location right downtown. Once I stayed there during Caribana and there were thousands of American tourists cruising Yonge St and honking their horns and partying until the wee hours. I was prepared and brought ear plugs, but I didn't really need them. The windows are pretty quiet and air tight. I stayed in the winter and it wasn't cold in the room either.
There's a breakfast bar downstairs. The coffee isn't the best but there are so many cafe's around that you'll probably only want to eat there if you woke up late and have to get to the Royal York / Fairmont soon to grab that airport shuttle within a limited time.
The public transportation is totally accessible with the subway entrance mere steps away. Everything you need is close by, and they'll even call you a cab if you need it. You can walk down to the waterfront or up Yonge St. to shop or anywhere downtown really.
I hope to stay there again, it's a favourite of mine. -

It's a nice building and the room was decent but the TV was grainy. The hair dryer was broken and there was a dirty used tube of body lotion in the bathroom. I don't even want to think about why there was brown stuff on it. Blech.
It was cheap and close to my meeting location for the next day. I wouldn't have chosen this hotel myself but it was fine for work. -

My friend and I stayed here one evening after booking on hotwire. Although there was no valet and we had to park blocks away and come back and the rooms were very small and too busy with ikea furniture, it was a pleasant and clean boutique style hotel despite the lack of room service or amenities, they preauthorized a substantial amount of money on our credit card. Nonetheless we were very busy the next day and elected to stay at full price despite it being over what we budgeted. Upon out departure the following day, we were told we had incurred a charge for "smoking" in the room. The only evidence we were aware of was the fact that my friend who smokes cleaned out her purse and left an empty pack in the trash can.
Despite our protestations, we were informed the $135. charge would NOT be reversed and although work crews had been in and out f the rooms and hotel the entire stay, it had to be us and not any other possibility. Given the fact they knew we were traveling students staying beyond our means, the fact they insisted (with conviction and no apology) that we would risk such a fee for a cigarette when it was warm outside and if my friend wanted to smoke only a few steps to the door, they would listen to no rationale we presented.
Given these issues I strongly suggest avoiding this establishment. The Hotel Edward is as close and much more quaint. The Westin Harbor treats you like a king! Very much unlike this place!! -

This is a 'boutique' hotel in Downtown Toronto.
Stayed here on business for 2 nights in October.
Took the Airport Express Shuttle from Pearson Airport ($19OW, $29 RT). Hotel Victoria is an easy 4 blocks from the shuttle's Fairmont Royal York stop.
I had a standard room which came with 1 double bed, TV, desk. I was a bit surprised at the wood floors in the room, but everything felt very clean and the bathroom was spacious with plenty of hot water.
The location of the hotel was great from what I could tell - 1 1/2 blocks from the subway, Starbucks, Brookfield Place. -

Toronto, ON
Really nice hotel, great rooms & room service. Great place for a "staycation", the Stylistics on the iPod, watching the Habs and a little grown folks dancing during the half/commercials.
