I stayed here last week on my first-ever trip to Quebec and would highly recommend the RW. The location is outside the Old Town and a little further from most tourist sights (15-30 min. walk), but staying here also lets you experience the non-touristy "outside the walls" side of Quebec. It's in the charming St-Roch neighborhood, one of two areas of interest outside Old Town.
It's right next to what may be the best people-watching coffeehouse in town (Brulerie St. Roch), and it's close to a bunch of restaurants you can enjoy with all that money you're saving by avoiding the overpriced hotels that gouge tourists who aren't imaginative enough to stay outside Old Town.
Rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet, though definitely more "functional" than charming, and very much "no-frills". Staff were nice. In terms of bang for the buck, this has got to be one of the best hotel picks in Quebec.
