I remember my trip here back in Feb. 2010... One of the best experiences I've ever had, visiting Quebec for the first time... I loved the heated outdoor pool... :)

We got nearly the same VIP treatment at the Delta Québec as we did at the Delta Montreal, including being treated upon arrival to a complimentary cheese plate & bottle of wine delivered to our room from our friendly reservation agent. I was a little worried when I saw on a map that the hotel was outside the city walls, but once we arrived we saw that it was very close to the old city indeed, maybe a 5 minute walk at the most. This is one of only 2 huge, multi-story hotels in the area (the other being the Hilton), looking very out of place compared to the quaintness of the city. Entry to the hotel is a little awkward, with the lobby being on the 3rd floor. Our room turned out to be not what we had wanted, but we were able to upgrade to their Signature Level and get a great room with a view. The Signature Level includes its own lounge, featuring an evening happy hour and a morning breakfast, as well as free wi-fi. As with Montreal, there was a high quality fitness center and a pool, and our room had the same fantastically comfortable bed. The location was fairly convenient as far as its proximity to the old city as well as to the Grand Allée. I'd consider staying here again, though I think next time I come to Québec City I might be more inclined to stay in one of the many small B&Bs in the old city. But this is a good choice for a full-service business or tourist hotel, if that's what you're looking for, and we got an excellent rate. In general I am very impressed with the quality of Delta hotels that I have experienced, including this one.
