Now I am really getting a reputation... A reputation of being cheap, eating at cheap places.
Hong Kong Cafe is tucked right at the corner of Scarborough Village. It looks a little shabby outside with all those "Come on In! We are Cheap!" banners but inside it is quite nice and clean. At least the floors are not sticky. it has carpeting and the tables are clean.
Breakfast Specials starts at $1.99 and Lunch Specials at $3.99. What you get for $3.99 is a house soup (chinese or borscht) and rice with veggie and meat, no drink though just the hot tea they give you. That does sounded like a balanced meal?
The baked spaghetti with cheese and meat sauce lunch set ($5.50) I ordered is A-OK, Of course I don't expect the pasta will be cook to Al-Dente and the cheese is some exotic Italian cheese with names I cannot pronnouce properly... It is tasty, filling and I ate the whole thing!
The 2 small TVs at the corners showing Silly Chinese game show makes me feel right at home :)
Servers are all nice and friendly.
However, the daily specials are the board that changes daily are in Chinese only..so ask the servers if you are wondering what they offers today.
