When I need something special to wear, the fine fashionable folk at Honey Love have me covered. Most of the clothing is designed and made by the owners of the boutique, although some select lines, like Fidelity Jeans, are also carried.
The owners are great people, and they love to help you dress up. Each time I've been there, Lisa has lots of suggestions about which pieces to choose and how to put them together. Her taste does run towards the girly and frilly, though. While I'm willing to try on something new that I wouldn't necessarily pick out for myself, I tend to resist in favour of cleaner lines and fewer ruffly bits.
When I'm not sure about a piece, I can also count on them for honest appraisals, or encouragement, or a fix that makes the whole outfit look better.
I always have fun when I stop in to see what's new at Honey Love - and there's always something new at this charming boutique.Listed in: Ladytime

This lovely little boutique is a dream location for ruffles and unique, feminine designs. Behind the curtains at the back of the shop is where the designers thrive, creating gorgeous, girly creations, ready for a night out on the town. Exposed white brick and hard-wood floors add to the modern take on Victoria-era fashions and accessories. Sexy bustiers, hats, as well as boots and shoes by outside designers complete the luxurious feel of Honey Love Couture Design Boutique. On Friday evenings between 5-7pm you can peruse the shop with a glass of wine in hand, while the designers talk inspiration and help you pick out the perfect outfit! Adorable'...that's French for adorable, by the way.

This little shop is just beyond the reaches of Gastown hipster-land, and you should stop in here if you want to find an off-the-beaten-path kind of fashion haven. All of the clothes here are made in the atelier in the back, and the designs that are produced by Honey Love are truly unique. Lots of funky meets corset meets ruffles kind of things, along with some feminine dresses, knitwear and other accessories like hats, jewelry and funky tights. If you step out on the town in one of Honey Love's creations, you'll be sure to be wearing a one of a kind fabrication.
