Awesome place that offers a full range of drinks. Word has it that the Honest Lawyer is the only place that does the 9 step Stella pouring process. They have 5.00 martinis on Wednesdays, which is awesome because their Oatmeal Cookie is astoundingly awesome.
Probably one of my favourite in Windsor. -

I always try to stop here when I'm in Windsor.
The staff are friendly and I've always had good service. I love that they have Magners on tap, which always makes my evening better. The last two times I've been there I've had a flatbread (two for one on Thursdays, who can resist?) and although some of the combinations sound odd at first, so far they've all tasted delicious.
There are also lots of pool tables, even some oddly shaped ones. The last time I was there I HAD to play on the 'L' shaped one.
This is probably my favourite pub in Windsor. -

The last time I was in Windsor, a month ago, I saw the sign for this place and had to stop for a picture, being a lawyer I understood the social irony. While standing at the top of the steps, I noticed an old style slide hockey game with the plastic dome! I could not resist but to go inside and start a couple games. I had a couple beers while playing and the price was reasonable with good service, but the game is awesome! I will actually be stopping in with friends when I am in town just for the game.

Ironic.. honest lawyer indeed....
Something about this basement located venue screams anything but honest and lawyer is the last word that comes to mind after looking at the dark and deep shadows... rather I think I'll be needing a lawyer afterwards. Oh the hell with it.. lets go... after all it's Windsor right? Whats the worse that could happen?
We head down into the dreary depths and are pleasantly greeted by a very sexy lady staff member... ;D She seats us and walks away to get our beer tower. Yeah, a beer tower is something that they do serious as much as serious as canadians can be. I peruse the menu and my eyes instantly and irrefutably lock on to this car accident of culinary creations... poutine. WTF!?!?! Poutine... yeah, they have other dishes but really, I could probably get all of that anywhere else. And yes, I could probably get poutine else where as well, however I was told that this is one of the better if not truly authentic poutine since I was educated that it is originally made with cheese curd. They serve it with mozzarella I believe.. hell it's all good to me.
So what does this weird poutine french fry derivative really consist of you ask? Put it this way, it's fries covered in some kind of cheese and then topped off with some kind of gravy. That's it. That's all.
And I can wait to have some more.

This is another one of my favorite drink establishments in Windsor. For those who know me, the title of this place really amuses me. The Honest Lawyer is one of the exclusions to my "I don't like going to or reviewing chains." To my knowledge there is one in Toronto, on in London, and one here in Windsor. There may be others, but I don't know of them off-hand.
The honest lawyer has a decent beer list. Mind you it doesn't have a super list of craft brewers from Canada, the list is still decent enough. Also you can order beer as a yard. Which is like a big tray full of beers. The bottled beers are decent too.
The food here is pretty decent, it had your usual range of pub foods. I really like the Mushroom & Mozarella Veggie burger. There are enough vegetarian alternatives that a vegetarian shouldn't feel too left out.
The service has usually beer fairly decent at this location. The servers are polite enough, and the food doesn't take forever. I like the atmosphere and the games which are there to play are always a good addition. In total, it's a good bar. -

A great place to go for a great dinner ...they take their drinks serious too. Our waitress was on the ball. When in Windsor this is the place to go.

I'm from Indy and occasionaly go to Detroit for work. When I am up there and I get that craving for some Poutine... The Honest Lawyer is the only place to get it! Best in Windsor!!! Keep up the good work guys!
