I'm glad that when planning my trip I decided to do the "budget" accommodations first, then the 4 star luxury hotel, otherwise I probably wouldn't have been too thrilled.
This place needs to be fixed up, and I think if a few relatively cheap things were done, it would greatly, greatly improve the atmosphere here. Examples: patch the nail holes in the walls, don't use mismatched ex-drycleaning hangers in the closets, get an actual trash can in the bathroom instead of a discarded laundry detergent bucket.
What makes up for the lack of aesthetic appeal of this place is the great staff, especially Edie, who is friendly and very helpful. The breakfast in the morning is very nice, and the price of this place can't be beat - my room was $65 C a night. It was clean and quiet too.
The location within Toronto was convenient, just a 10 minute walk from the subway station. It's in a residential neighborhood and seemed safe.Listed in: Canada, eh?
