Ever wanted to own a Unicorn? This place has something pretty darn close: http://s3-media4.ak.ye...  Now that's what I call a centerpiece.

They have sleek designs without the ridiculous price tags. We picked up a great dining table set and a funky coffee table. Their selection is just right in terms of depth. I like stores with the good-better-best approach to stocking product.

The staff leave you alone to browse pressure-free and are great at making suggestions based on what you tell them.

Delivery is only $70/shipment and includes assembly! If you value your time and sanity, this is superb value. Unless you like assembling all that Ikea furniture like a Kinder Surprise toy.

I don't get all the good reviews. I went in there and it was ridiculously overpriced. Sure, they had some sofas and chairs for $900 and $100 respectively, but most couches were $2000 and up and there was one couch for $6000. Quality didn't seem much different to me than other contemporary furniture places.

If you love modern furniture as we do, this is THE place to go !

We recently purchased a new lofty looking townhome  and were looking for cool  unique furniture. I know that designers often use Home Delight to to stage new show homes so that alone caught my interest.

After dragging myself through so many other furniture stores which either didn't have what we  liked, were overly expensive, or required a waiting period of 3-4 months for delivery, we kept returning to Home Delight. We found exactly "the right pieces" with the wonderful help of Amelia, by thinking outside the box.

All of the furniture we bought was in stock at the warehouse (a rarity these days) or was sold from the showroom as a floor model.  Furniture came already assembled ..TAKE NOTE...and was very well priced for the quality.

Excellent service & friendly, efficient delivery staff who set up all furniture in our home for us. .
Can't say enough positives about this place !

I was here for two things and both of them were for friends.  In fact, a friend bought some stuff here.  I came originally looking for a certain sized bed that needed to fit in a small place.  Asian furniture seems to be built for small places and this is one of those places.  Modern styling. Some a bit eclectic but overall interesting enough that you won't think...mmmm yeah, is is Ikea?  No.
Some of the other stuff is big.  I mean BIG.  Kaite wrote about the big horse. yeah,  That's darned big.

Now, if you don't see it, they have this huge catalogue of stuff that they can show and get for you.  So it's not just limited to the showroom.

Staff is friendly but unfortunately with all the stuff that they had, I wasn't able to get what I wanted.  Sad for me cause I liked this place.

On our quest to find the perfect piece of furniture for our new space, we stopped into Home Delight for a quick look around.  They had the coolest bench in there.. a marshmallow bench.  I was lots of one foot  circular cushions that looked like little candies, all put together to make a bench to sit on.  Very fun and very interesting.

We moved further into the store and could not quite figure out their assortment.  They had a lot of really cool  iconic replicas but also mixed in with grey heathered infinity mirror's (you know the ones..where you look into them and the light goes on for ever),  really ugly desks, and the lighting don't even get me started on the lighting.  So after careful analysis their customer is not evidently defined in my opinion but they do offer up some interesting things if you have the time to look around and perhaps won't be disappointed when you don't find exactly what you wanted.

There's a mix of Asian-made and European-made furniture here and it's the only Calligaris retailer in Richmond.  The store has a good contemporary look but there are definitely some weird items here - seriously, who wants a 9 ft tall horse lamp?

I like the fact that the salespeople are available if you approach them, but no one follows you around the store.

We bought a funky lamp and hallway cabinet here - I was having a heck of a time finding something that would fit along a small wall at our back entry but have some storage.  Quality for the made-in-Asia brands can definitely be improved, but the store has great customer service to help out with that.

Our first order had one piece missing and a small defect on the front edge... our salesperson Amelia quickly arranged for a new delivery and assembly.

I couldn't do my whole house here since I'm partial to European designers and materials/finishing, but this is definitely worth a stop.  You can get a contemporary look at a lower budget than Industrial Revolution/Inspiration since they have fewer branded products.

Delivery and assembly is a flat fee of $70 to Richmond/Vancouver.

We looked and looked and looked and finally found it at Home Delight upon recommendation from our home renovation contractor.

We were moving into our small one-bedroom condo.  We are tight on space so we were looking for a coffee table that could be lifted and expanded to serve as a dining table.  We know it's out there because we see them on the internet but could not find any local furniture stores (including all the ones in Gastown and Yaletown at the time).

We were not disappointed within minutes stepping into the store.  We spotted 2!  2 different tables from 2 different manufacturers.  We decided on a Calligaris with a glass top and hydraulic lift.  Service was excellent.  They immediately requested for a new one to be delivered to the store from a nearby warehouse.  Within 30 minutes, it was there and opened for our inspection.  Delivery was taken the next day.  The delivery guys opened it up, assembled it and took away all the packaging.

The store has a very good selection of European furniture.  Some you can tell that they will be out of style very soon but there are also many timeless pieces.

P.S.  We have since realized a Calligaris just opened up a showroom on Homer just outside of Yaletown proper.
