After trying out a few barbers in the city, Hollow Ground is definitely up in the top three
The shop is very inviting, pizza next door if you got the munchies and a great cut

I do not know where this place is? I google maped it and went to street view and seen no such thing of this business at Bloor st W. My thoughts is it has been sold. What Howard said about being beside a pizza place, seems like now there's a different name to the place called Vila beauty salon as seen at google maps at street view.

A great space for guys to come to do their grooming. Masculine atmosphere, style oriented barbers do amazing things for their clients. Set aside some time to wait your turn, though it'll be worth it. They also do kids' hair.

Usually have my friend in the burbs do my hair, but went to Hollow Ground as an emergency. All three of the these guys (B.J., Parnell & Drew) all give a tight fade and as Mass said take pride in what they do. Most importantly they're laid back and down to earth so it was easy to talk to them and help you feel more at ease.
Have sent my brother in law, cousin and father in law there, and all three were extremely happy as well.
Don't trust just anyone with sharp scissors, but you can trust Holllow Ground. -

Great Barber Shop! Beejay(owner) has been my barber for some time now. great dude and does a great job at a fair price. the new shop looks dope and has professional and friendly atmosphere. i highly recommend the shop to anyone looking for a fade, shave, haircut.. anything really. top notch!

I've been looking for a new Barber around my hood and Hollow Ground is a new Barber Shop conveniently located at the Bloor and Havelock intersection right across Nosa Talho butcher shop and next door to 2 for 1 pizza so while your waiting to get your hair did you can get a quick bite. There are 3 Barbers there, Beejay(Owner), Pernel and Drew and I gotta say these doods are mad cool, friendly service and quality you can appreciate! You can tell that these gentlemen take pride in their craft and after you get your hair done you'll realize it also! They care about what the customer wants and they listen, they don't rush any of the cuts because they take their time to make sure the client is getting exactly what they want. The shop itself gives you the feel of that old school shop where you can come in get a great cut and have some great conversations. From my experience as I sat down in the chair I already felt comfortable and relaxed, I guess it's jus the vibe and ambience the shop puts out, from the checkered flooring to the vintage barber chairs and seats all the way to the straight razors they use. So do yourselves and your lady a favor and visit your friendly neighborhood Barbers at Hollow Ground!
