This great salon is Calgary is located inside a house, a basement to be exact. It is run by one of the more lovely Calgarians who works from home.
It is not your average salon, as there is room for one patron only. So it might take you a little longer to get an appointment, but trust me the wait is worth it.
Shannon always starts with taking a look at you your hair and complexion. Gathering information about what you want for your hair, and getting a feel for your energy. I know this sounds a little new agey, but she is so authentic one can't but get swept up in her daily wisdom.
She then washes your hair with an invigorating mint shampoo and massages root to tip, cleaning and working out any stress. She then cuts colours and styles, all the while keeping in mind your personal style and desired look.
She won't let you do something you may later regret, but instead will help you find a style that suits your face and personality. In fact a month before my wedding I requested a chop job. (Seriously, why does every girl grow their hair out before the wedding?) She calmly asked me if I was certain, and then let me explain my reasoning. After being sufficiently convinced she sheared my locks in to a piecey bob which I loved.
Shannon will both fix your hair and any bad energy you might have come in with. She is trained in both reiki and energy crystal healing, and functions with both in her daily life.
As far as price goes, you definitely reap the benefit of being outside of a salon, but still feel like you are paying a professional to do your hair. Bottom line...get your soul stroked by this amazing stylist, you won't regret it.
