Review from Curt L.
The only thing special here appeared to be the bar.
Looked cozy and comfy................and sadly I did not get a chance to try it out.
My Internet did not work as "the IP address was locked up'?????
The in house tech team finally got it to work and I appreciated that.
Really like it when the Internet if flawless, wireless and free!

Review from Pat C.
I stayed here for the first couple nights of a week-long business trip. I have to admit those two nights weren't bad. The staff was friendly and the accommodations were quite satisfactory.
Then they lost power. I woke up on the third day to find out they'd been without power for a few hours. I went in for my meetings, came back late in the afternoon to find out they still had no power. I was told "We have no idea when power will be restored."
Understandably, this was completely out of their control. They did manage to comp me a night at the Sandman nearby, which was very nice. I was able to book the rest of the trip at the Marriott the next day. All in all, it was hardly a crisis, but you'd expect the hotel to have better utilities.
I feel guilty giving them 2 stars, but, assuming no power outage, they're 3 stars at best. Nice people, though. -

Stayed here this past weekend. It was pretty quiet in the hotel since it was Christmas Day. Received a room on the top floor. Did notice that it is noticeably louder as you can hear the airplanes flying overhead due to the vicinity to the airport. The other thing is that parking is no longer free. Instead they now charge $8 plus taxes per night. Blech, but still cheaper than paying parking at a downtown Vancouver hotel which you can pay double or more.
Still the room was as expected. They have upgraded to flat screen televisions though which is a plus. Did not get much sleep though due to the noise. Based on the amenities and the good price, I still say that the Holiday Inn is a good place to stay. Though I would ask for a room that does not face the highway or on a lower level if possible to limit the noise issue.Listed in: The Home Away From Home List

Review from Rob P.
Just completed a 5-night stay at the Holiday Inn a few days ago, and I was pretty pleased with our choice. We booked it through Priceline, so we only paid $50/night, which was the main reason we were pleased. The hotel itself was a standard 3-star hotel, and we actually had a couple of hiccups when we first checked in. First off, the first night they were out of king rooms, so my girlfriend and I had to stay in two beds. They fixed this the next day for us, though. Next, we had trouble originally requesting a fridge in the room, but we were able to get that sorted out as well. Parking wasn't free, but $5 was pretty reasonable. Only problem is there's not much near the hotel... there's a McDonald's in the parking lot, but anything else and you'd pretty much need a car. Unless it's not raining. Oh yeah, the biggest problem we had was with the Internet... they have free wifi, but it's pretty bad. It worked great at some points, and barely acceptable at other points. At least it was free, I guess.
