Hit & Misses is an awesome vinyl record shop located on Queen Street west right next to Rotate This. They carry a vast inventory of punk, hard core, and metal albums. This space is raw and self-effacing. When you walk in dirty guitar riffs are blaring from the sound system and you are just over the moon with excitement to see what obscure punk band you can scrounge up from the racks. The shop keeps are extremely knowledgeable audiophiles and they are very forthcoming. Prices are reasonable and selection for certain genres of music are fantastic. I picked up a Misfits album on my last trip and now I am able to recreate the sentiment of Halloween every time I spin the album. And the door to Hits & Misses it opens is the way back in. Or is it the way back out?

Incredible selection; awesome, friendly staff who know plenty, and solid prices that don't make you run for the door.
I can't go that often, since I can never leave without dropping $80 or so. When I do go, I love the cheap 7" bins. Plenty of gems for a quarter!

I don't remember exactly how the old location was but the new home of Hits and Misses seem to be bigger, brighter and organized.
They sell new releases and used copies of punk, rock, metal, hardcore and other similar genres. Half of the store is vinyl records, both full LPs and 7"ers, and the other half are used CDs.
It might be worth looking through their $2 CD bin. Primarily, it's not the best CDs, not just in terms of quality but also who the artist is or obscure record, and is only worth a few dollars. But as the saying goes, one person's crap is another person's treasure, so happy hunting.Listed in: Vinyl Hoppin'

Watch your feet kids cuz I'm about to drop some knowledge.
This record store is definitely underrated. It's the best record store in Toronto to get your new and used punk/hardcore/metal/indie/emo/pop/whatever records in Toronto.

Easily the best store in Toronto if you're into Punk, Hardcore, Metal or any related style of underground music. Lotsa vinyl, plus t-shirts, backpatches, CDs, etc.
