Came here for some Vietnamese goodness. The 1 $ sign on the Yelp entry was what drew us in.
Parking is available on the street in the evenings. Certain parts don't have meters, so look around.
This is truly a mom + pop shop. They were very friendly and helpful.
The interior is classy, but somewhat dated. It reminds me of the 1980s-style diners, but with tables and chairs from the 1990s. There were a couple of other tables occupied when we walked in.
I ordered a beef tripe and tendon (#9 in the menu) pho. Actually this is one of the better Vietnamese soups I've had in a while. It had a certain homemade touch to it. Can't quite put my finger on it, but the soup was very well balanced. The waitress gave the option of raw or cooked bean sprouts, which was nice. You don't get this choice with every dish gives you this choice though, just certain ones.
Cheap, no frills, delicious. We left happy. -

**Three and a Half Stars**
We went 'appy-happy' as we couldn't decide on an entree each so instead ordered some smaller plates to share.

I really like chicken wings. These were pretty damned good.

So delightful looking and delicious. As with most things lemongrass (even stuff I cook at home) it never seems to be as 'lemongrass-y' as I would like. Nicely prepared. I'm sure to try this at home. :)

Thin, nicely fried, salted cod cakes. Very tasty. Great texture and not too oily.
Nice atmosphere: bright and clean. Eager to return to try some of the pho and vermicelli dishes. Potential for 4stars :-)
