6 pm and my only options for dinner are cereal and a jar of half eaten spaghetti sauce...this looks like a job for...Take Out!
I head over to Hime Sushi and minutes later am happily on my way home. I had the Hime Combo, which is a Hime roll (salmon, tuna, imitation crab, tamago, cucumber, and avocade), and 2 pieces of salmon nigiri with 2 pieces tuna nigiri. The fish was all very tasty, and not frozen. The combo was, I think, $10.95 before tax, which I found reasonable.
The restaurant itself has been remodeled since my last visit in 2006, it's now more modern looking with darker wood trimmings. It is, however, still served by a pretty sparse staff, with one chef in the kitchen, two behind the counter, and one waitress. That's fine, the space is so small anyways that it's probably sufficient.
Everyone was very friendly. I think I won't wait so long until my next visit! -

best sushi in point grey (and possibly further east). japanese-run. feels like you're eating at home.
if you're alone, keep ordering things because it gets busy and they might need your table/spot for another party. -

Stuffed to the brim with an $8.95 lunch...yup I'm a fan! The teriyaki sushi is wonderful with a crispy skin that stays crispy even with sauce on it. How do they do that?! The teriyaki comes with noodles instead of rice, which was a delightful surprise. The service was also polite and frequent with the tea.
